ISFL season 38 (also referred to as the 2053 NSFL season) began on 28 September, 2053. The season concluded with Ultimus Bowl XXXVIII, held ain Tokyo, Japan on 08 February, 2054, where the Arizona Outlaws were crowned ISFL champions after defeating the Berlin Fire Salamanders by a score of 21-23.

Postseason
The 2053 ISFL playoffs consisted of three rounds; with four divisional games being played before two conference championships – contested by the winners of each divisional game. The winners of the conference championship games then played in Ultimus Bowl XXXVIII.
