Known Acquaintance (born August 24, 2048) was an American football kicker. He played college football for Charles Darwin University (CDU).

Early years
Known Acquaintance was born in a litter of 6 australian shepherds on a farm around Alice Springs in Australia. While his other litter mates were just normal doing dog stuff it was soon realized that Known had a knack for the sports. While their brothers and sisters were eating shoes and barking at bees, Known was out there playing with balls of all kind: They were kicked with the head, dribbled with the nose, pawed at and on some occasions even humped. After a few training sessions at a local dog school the local university started to adopt Known as the mascot for the school's local Australian Football team because, as the press release stated: "Look at this dog playing with the ball, that is just so dang cute that we had to hire it mate. I can not believe no one else here thought of this, I think I am surrounded by idiots."
College career
Known Acquaintance became an immediate hit at school and started rising up the mascot ranks. Houndreds gathered on game day. Not because of the games - have you ever seen Australian Football? Like, seriously - but to watch the dog kick the ball around. Time went on and Known got better and better at kicking the ball around. One day an American Football scout who wanted to find the next international recruit because that generates press ended up drinking way too much and binged Air Bud all night before coming to the game. He saw Known Acquaintance in the pre-game and couldn't but get this dog into America to play for the DSFL. A few different positions were tried out, but the SPCA was pretty much against having a dog be an Offensive Lineman or a Wide Receiver, so in the end it was decided that Known Acquaintance should do what they do best: Kick the ball very far. And if someone catches it and runs at the other end zone there will be biting ... tackling I mean. Tackling.

Professional career
DSFL career
Known Acquaintance was drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes in the fourth round of the 2051 DSFL Draft as the first kicker off the board. He was an instant success in the locker and since he was a good boy he was selected as team captain and received all the pets he could ask for. If he hit the long field goals in training he even got treats.
2051 DSFL Season
Known Acquaintance went into his first season as the number one kicker and punter on the depth chart even though he actually was pretty bad at all of it. Halfway through the season he totally forgot to train and check in with the team at all but somehow was not kicked off the team for some unexplainable reason. Having reached the Ultimini in the last season everyone in Kansas City had high hopes, although it ended the other way around. KCC only won 5 games and finished last in their conference and did not get into the playoffs. That said everyone had a lot of fun and the new squad bonded nicely. Some people blame that on the decision to draft a literal dog as their kicker but these people are just jealous. Nothing is better for team morale than a good boy around you all the time, even if he is bad at his job.

ISFL career
Known Acquaintance was picked with the first pick of the second round (15th overall) by the Berlin Fire Salamanders. Being the first kicker off the board again made him feel pretty good. He was called up immediately and will play the upcoming season in the ISFL.
