ISFL season 27 (also referred to as the 2042 NSFL season) began on 28 September, 2042. The season concluded with Ultimus Bowl XXVII on 08 February, 2043, where the Sarasota Sailfish were crowned ISFL champions after defeating the New Orleans Second Line by a score of 10-34.

The 2042 ISFL playoffs consisted of three rounds; with four divisional games being played before two conference championships – contested by the winners of each divisional game. The winners of the conference championship games then played in Ultimus Bowl XXVII.
