Asher Quinn (born January 1998, 14) is an American football wide reciever for the San Antonio Marshals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for William Penn University (WPU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Asher Quinn was born on April 14th 1998 to his parents Matt and Jennifer Quinn. He was born and raise in Naperville, Il and attended Naperville Central high school. Growing up Asher was a 4 sport highschool athlete participating in Football, Wrestling, Track and Basbeball. However, football was his main passion. Asher played on the junior varsity team his Freshman and Sophmore years playing all 3 phases of the game offense (wide reciever), defense (Cornerback) and special teams (returner). Asher Quinn started on the varsity team at Wide Reciever his final 2 years. In his senior season he set the team record for Catches in a season (86) and Receiving Yards in a seaon (867) while the team made it all the way to the state championship game before losing to Nequa Valley High School. Due to his small size and limited varsity experience Asher was not heavily recruited by many D1 or D2 teams even with his great varsity prodcution. Due to the lack of recruitment, Asher finally decided to commit to and attend the NAIA school William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa only 5 hours away from his home town of Naperville.

College career

"Quinn sat out the season his entire freshmen year to build strength and work on learning the playbook, However, After after staying through the summer to bulk up, train with his teammates and learn the playbook he earned himself a starting spot in the offense his sophmore year playing slot reciever. Quinn remained a 3 year starter at WPU with over 80% of his snaps comming from the slot reciever position while also taking care of the kick off and punt return responsibilities. However, due to William Penn's choice of running the triple option his offensive stats failed to recieve the usage that many of other starting recievers at the NAIA and NCAA levels would expect to see. Asher failed to top over 500 yards or 5 Tds in any of his season as a starter for the William Penn Statesmen. While his raw numbers underwhlemed at first look, many of his advanced metrics exposed that Asher was a super efficent producer with his minial touches. One characteristic that stood out was his high catch percentage (95%) on his low target volume showing that he would make the most of every opportunity given to him.
