Passing for 4,000 yards in a single regular season is a rare achievement in the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). Some consider it a soft benchmark, comparable to the 10-second 100-metre dash or the 4-minute mile. Fifteen quarterbacks have accomplished the feat, Joliet Christ Jr. was the first when he set an DSFL record with 4,103 yards passing in 2043.
