Born in the city of London (UK) to a French Mother (Sophie de Ville) and a British Father (David de Ville), Derred grew up playing soccer on the streets of London. His aggressiveness in the local youth soccer league earned him the all time single season record of 10 red cards in 30 games and an indefinite suspension. It was this agression that caught the eye of Mr. Tom Smith, who at the time was the lead scout and head coach for the London Sports High School American Football Team, who immediately recruited Derred to the team. Derred started to watch the NFSL aged 15 and it has been his dream to play there professionally ever since. Following some successful years in High School Derred earned a scholarship to attend King's College London. Unfortunately, as football was not a very popular sport in the UK back then, the stats of his High School years remain forever lost, but some say he had over 1000 tackles in 5 seasons. | Born in the city of London (UK) to a French Mother (Sophie de Ville) and a British Father (David de Ville), Derred grew up playing soccer on the streets of London. In the following games, de Ville continued to burst onto the scene, consistently being among the lead leaders for tackles and sacks. In Week 11, with 18 tackles, he equalled [[Sandro Ryeu]]'s single game franchise record. In the final game of the season (an away loss to the Pythons), Derred recorded his first career interception. He also regularly appeared on episodes of the "All or Nothing (London Royals)"-TV Show by 2Burkeolosis which provided fascinating insights into the expansion teams effort across the whole season. − | + | After his astonishing rookie season, and one of the better LB performances at the combine, Derred de Ville was predicted in many mock drafts to be a rock solid first round pick. Among the likely landing spots were the [[San Jose Sabercats]], [[Arizona Outlaws]], [[Philadelphia Liberty]] and the [[Baltimore Hawks]]. The Hawks ended up drafting him with the 9th overall pick. In an exclusive post-draft interview, Derred stated that he was very happy with his destination and that he was "honored to be part of the team", vowing to help bring an Ultimus back to Baltimore during his tenure there, aiming to be a "defensive staple" throughout his career. Following the draft, de Ville was immediately called up from the DSFL to join the Hawks locker room as the new starting linebacker for the franchise.

− | + | ===2037 ISFL Season (S22)===
+ | Derred's rookie ISFL campaign was much quieter than the year that he had when he took the DSFL by storm. While it was a largely uneventful campaign, it was still however, a quietly solid but very lowkey season.
+ | Derred did achieve both his contractual incentive targets, for sacks and for tackles on the season. However, the overall statline was not impressive enough to earn him any awards, which would have netted some additional dollars.
+ | His only accolades was a lone Hawk of the Week game ball, for his Week 1 performance with 9 tackles and a sack. Unfortunately, most of the production for sacks came in the first part of the season and dried up significantly towards the end. He set his season high with 14 tackles in the away game in Week 9 at the Sailfish, and his perhaps best performance with 11 tackles and a sack came against the Butchers late in the season, a team who was hindered by not having a proper active QB on their roster, somewhat diminishing that performance. All in all this season was nothing to write home about and Derred was at times visibly frustrated as seen in his social media posts.
+ | |||
+ | Overall, the Hawks were one of the worst teams in the league in S22, missing the playoffs with a 3-10 record. Derred vowed to improve on his game in the off-season, and take his physical and mental attributes to a new level, to come back stronger for S23 and help his team to get back into playoff contention.
+ | |||
+ | ===2038 ISFL Season (S23)===
+ | Despite the league being renamed to the International Simulation Football League (ISFL) and the corresponding increase in the regular season game weeks from 13 to 16, Derred's stats in his second season in the league were a literal carbon copy of the first year.
+ | |||
+ | With 3 additional games, he only recorded two more tackles, which meant a decrease of his tackles per game from to 8.6 to 7.3, which was a disappointing development. The sack rate stayed mainly the same with a sack roughly every two games, something that Derred will be hoping to improve for S24. Derred notably recorded his first ISFL career interception against the Butchers in Week 4, in a game that also saw him pick up a sack, 3 defended passes and 6 tackles.
+ | |||
+ | His best performance of the year also came early on in the season, in Week 2. In a narrow loss against the Yeti, Derred recorded 13 tackles, a sack and 2 defended passes. He rarely surpassed 10 tackles this season, so this was a good shwoing for him, and he also managed to fulfill his vow to sack QB Wolfie Mc Dummy, which is a tradition that he hopes to continue until either player retiring.
+ | |||
+ | For the second consecutive season, Derred was not nominated for any awards and did not make the Pro Bowl either. The Hawks are yet to see the return on investment on their first round pick from a couple of seasons ago, and will hope for Derred to improve as he goes into his contract year. Derred certainly has a lot to prove.

Derred "The Red Devil" de Ville (born December 24, 2011) is a retired former American football linebacker for the Baltimore Hawks (2037 (S22)-2040 (S25)), Sarasota Sailfish (2041 (S26)-2043 (S28)) and Berlin Fire Salamanders (2044 (S29)-2047 (S32)) of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL). He played college football for King's College London (KCL) before being drafted in the first round by the Baltimore Hawks in the 2037 ISFL Draft (S22). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the London Royals in the 2036 Draft (S21).
Early years
Born in the city of London (UK) to a French Mother (Sophie de Ville) and a British Father (David de Ville), Derred grew up playing soccer on the streets of London.
College career
Derred had earned himself a scholarship to study Sports Management & Leadership at King’s College London (KCL) and he naturally joined the Regents (KCL’s football team) where he played mostly as a speed rushing OLB that occasionally rotated into coverage.
After 5 years (3 as an undergraduate and 2 as a grad student) he graduated with a MSc of Sports Management & Leadership with Distinction.
Many of his fellow teammates struggled to correctly pronounce his slightly strange combination of French and English name, and so, after seeing him play for the first time, he became known as “The Red Devil” instead and that nickname has stuck with him ever since.
However, his academic achievements were far outweighed by his achievements on the football field. In 5 seasons, he recorded 750+ tackles, 30.5 sacks and 26 forced fumbles. He also set the single season KCL record for 213 tackles. In his final two years, he won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice and helped lead his team to two Queen's Bowl appearances, winning one college ring.He is also the only defensive player to be awarded the Queen's Bowl MVP for a statline of 15 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a game winning Pick-Six.

While it was a largely uneventful campaign, it was still however, a quietly solid but very lowkey season. Derred did achieve both his contractual incentive targets, for sacks and for tackles on the season. However, the overall statline was not impressive enough to earn him any awards, which would have netted some additional dollars. His only accolades was a lone Hawk of the Week game ball, for his Week 1 performance with 9 tackles and a sack.
Overall, the Hawks were one of the worst teams in the league in S22, missing the playoffs with a 3-10 record. Derred vowed to improve on his game in the off-season, and take his physical and mental attributes to a new level, to come back stronger for S23 and help his team to get back into playoff contention.
2038 ISFL Season (S23)
Despite the league being renamed to the International Simulation Football League (ISFL) and the corresponding increase in the regular season game weeks from 13 to 16, Derred's stats in his second season in the league were a literal carbon copy of the first year.
With 3 additional games, he only recorded two more tackles, which meant a decrease of his tackles per game from to 8.6 to 7.3, which was a disappointing development.
His best performance of the year also came early on in the season, in Week 2.
For the second consecutive season, Derred was not nominated for any awards and did not make the Pro Bowl either. The Hawks are yet to see the return on investment on their first round pick from a couple of seasons ago, and will hope for Derred to improve as he goes into his contract year. Derred certainly has a lot to prove.
