He was selected by the San Jose Sabercats with the 8th pick in the 1st round of the 2057 ISFL Draft (S42).

Early years

Born in Baton Rouge, Lousiana where he lived for 5 years, his familly moved to a small town outside of Houston where he attended grade school. As a child he enjoyed video games, Madden and EA College Football, and playing with his older brothers and sisters. Coming from a big family he always had to fight for attention, this made him seek out sports recognition. When not playing sports he enjoyed playing guitar with friends in a band and watching movies. Graduating from Memorial High School in 2028 in his junior and senior seasons he was named to the 6A US All American Team. During his high school career he was recruited to play for UNT by Seth Littrell. Growing up he wanted to be the next John Lynch but decided Corner was a better fit for his speed. During high school he participated in Track and Field, Football, Baseball, and Soccer.

DSFL

Season 41

Patterson lead the London Royals to an 8-6 record in the regular season. The London Royals lost in the DSFL North Conference Championship Game to the Kansas City Coyotes - 41-28. In his first season in the DSFL, Patterson threw for 4,273 yards, with a 37-13 TD to Int ratio, accruing a passer rating of 98.5, leading the league in passer rating, yards thrown, and Touchdowns for Season 41 in the DSFL. This would be good for the 3rd best TD total for any Quarterback in the history of the DSFL and the best true rookie season ever in the league. The end of the season didn't see London raise the Ultimini, but Patterson did take home awards for: Season 41 - All Pro Team, Offensive Performance of the year for his week 7 game against Dallas where he set a league record with 7 Touchdowns in one game, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Most Outstanding Player, and Most Valuable Player. It will be a tough season to top for Patterson but the future is looking bright!

Season 42

In his second season in the DSFL, Josh Patterson lead the London Royals to a 4-10 record. It was a tough season for the Royals as a team as they just couldn't seem to stop opposing offenses or outscore them. The season started off strong for Patterson and the Royals, winning 3 of their first 4 games to open the season before going 1-9 for the remainder. In his second season in the DSFL Patterson threw for 3,986 yards, completing 56.8% of his passes. He threw for 27 Touchdowns and 16 Interceptions on the year earning a passer rating of 81.9. He was selected to the Season 42 Pro-bowl for the DSFL North Team. Patterson will look to rebound in his third season in the DSFL with a revamped receiver depth chart and many solid returning players on defense. With only a few seasons left in the DSFL, Patterson has his sights set on the Ultimini and another MVP season. We will see what Patterson's 3rd season in the DSFL has in store soon.

Season 43

In his third season in the DSFL, Josh Patterson led the London Royals to a 5-9 record. While a slight improvement in record for the London Royals, Patterson say a decline in his stats for a second straight year. The season started strong for Patterson winning his first two games before losing the next 4 straight. He was able to right the ship for week 7 but lost again in week 8. He was able to secure 2 more wins in weeks 9 and 11, but the Royals fell short of making the playoffs by 1 win. Though his wins were down, he still ended up finishing second in yards passed in the league with the second most touchdowns thrown as well. He finished the season with 3,705 yards passing with 23 touchdowns thrown and 16 interceptions. Patterson was a bit disappointed with this season, but he looks forward to seeing what next season will bring.

ISFL

Josh Patterson was selected by the San Jose Sabercats with the 8th pick in the 1st round of the ISFL Season 42 Draft.

Season 44

In Josh Patterson's Rookie Season of the ISFL he saw a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs... In his rookie season for the San Jose Sabercats, Josh Patterson recorded 4,195 yards passing with 20 Touchdowns thrown and only 12 Interceptions. Completing 386 of his 654 passes gave Patterson a completion percentage of 59% on the season, he ended with a Rating of 80.5 on the year. It wasn't an amazing rookie season like the ISFL has seen before, heck it was by all accounts, fairly Mid... Patterson is hoping for a bounce back season next year with more weapons and an improved team around him to fight for a playoff spot and give the city of San Jose something to get excited about for the first time in a long while. With another offseason in the system under his belt, Patterson is sure to find his footing soon. The promised land is in sight and we are coming.

Season 45

In Josh Patterson's second season in the ISFL was once again a wild ride. Improving in many statistics but unable to pull out wins in several close games this season. The San Jose Sabercats ended the season with a record of 6-10. Josh Patterson threw for 4,025 yards, 26 Touchdowns, 16 Interceptions, and finished the season with a 62.1% completion percentage. Though his yards per game was lower this season, Patterson really took a step forward in both touchdowns and completion percentage ending the year with a QB Rating of 90.1. Patterson knows the team will keep working in the offseason and building towards a bright future. Patterson will spend the offseason studying his playbook and holding regular meetings with his Wide Receiver corps to ensure maximum team building and get everyone on the same page for Season 46. Look out ISFL, the San Jose Sabercats are coming for the Ultimus.

Season 46

In Josh Patterson's third season in the ISFL he found success with his team but not so much with his arm. While the Sabercats enjoyed a strong start to the season, the wear and tear of taking 68 sacks eventually wore down Patterson and limited his ability to make big plays. Ending the season having thrown for 4,041 yards, and only 18 Touchdowns to 12 Interceptions, it's hard for Patterson to consider this year a success, especially when San Jose missed the playoffs by basically 1 game. Patterson will look for a bounce back year next season as he retools his throwing motion during the offseason and studies his playbook hard. Patterson is hoping with a new offensive scheme and continued strong support from a stellar Wide Receiver corps, San Jose will be looking to take the next step and push for an Ultimus. The division is always a tough one, but with continued hard work and some better blocking up front, San Jose can win it all.
