Dan Dandrews (born April 12, 2034) is an American football offensive lineman for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Dan Dandrews was born in Cleveland, Ohio to father Andrew Dandrews and mother Katie Katherinson. Andrew Dandrews was a professional lacrosse player who was all-pro at Boston College and later played for Revelstoke Arctic Fire of the SLL before the league folded and Andrew moved to Cleveland to be a sports analyst. Andrew and Katie originally met at a local football game where Katie was working as a media consultant so it seems Dan was destined to love football from the start. Dan played a little Lacrosse in middle school but it was pretty obvious from the start that his real passion was football. He played DE throughout high school and really loved it but dabbled in OL occasionally to fill the team's need and already seemed like a pro at shutting down the other team. Despite being a less flashy role, it was clear that he was the real star on the field and won multiple MVP honors throughout the four years before setting his sights on his college career.

College career

Picking a college was an easy decision for Dan, he knew he had to play for his Dad's alma mater Boston College. Despite playing most of his high school career as a DE, Boston College needed an OL more so he jumped into that role for his whole academic career. As a freshman,.Dan set a record for getting 100 pancakes without allowing a single sack and he was very quickly becoming one of the best offensive lineman in the college football system. During his softmore year he set another record as being the first offensive lineman to score 3 fumble recovery touchdowns in a single season. Going into his junior year there were some big expectations for him but the last two seasons were less of a splash but he still considered himself a pancake expert for both seasons. Boston College improved slightly throughout his time there and were 4-8 in his first season and ended up going 10-2 in his senior year, he may not have been an MVP in college but he still showed the scouts what he's made of.

DSFL career

2055

After getting done with his final season with Boston College Dan Dandrews was eligible to play out the last few games and the playoffs of the DSFL's 40th season. After getting picked up on waivers by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers, Dan only ended up getting the start in the playoffs but what a playoffs it was. After playing only two games in the DSFL, Dan Dandrews had won his first Ultimini.

2056

After being a waiver pickup in season 40, Dan was eligible to go into the DSFL's season 41 draft. Dan was then drafted round 2 pick 11 by the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Dan went on to be a starting Offensive lineman for the Minnesota Grey Ducks throughout the whole season 41 season. After a disappointing preseason where they went 1-3 in the four games, they ended up doing a little better in the regular season and ended with an 8-6 record which included winning the last 4 games of they season. They unfortunately just barely missed the playoffs, losing the spot to the London Royals who had the same record bow won the tie breaker. Dan himself had a solid rookie season, having 56 pancakes with only 1 sack allowed. His first season showed his potential at offensive lineman and even though he didn't win any awards, he got some scouts interested. During the offseason Dan was then drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths of the ISFL.

2057

After having a solid S41, Dan Dandrews decided to make a huge career decision and swap from Offensive Lineman to Defensive end, it wasn't a choice he took lightly but it's a position he know well since he played it for most of his high school career. It's what the Minnesota Grey Ducks and his future team the Yellowknife Wraiths needed from him and he was more than happy to take the call. Dan was now no longer a pancake merchant and became the one who gets pancaked. The S42 Minnesota Grey Ducks had a great season, going 9 - 5, easily making the playoffs. Dan himself ended up with 25 tackles and 10 sacks, a respectable performance that won't win awards but getting the fifth most sacks in the DSFL is a strong performance. In the playoffs, the Minnesota Grey Ducks was able to easily dispatch the Kansas City Coyotes 24-7. Next game was the Ultimini where everything looked incredible half way through but the Minnesota Grey Ducks ended up losing to the Norfolk Seawolves 24-17 after the defense that Dan is a part of let up ten points in the fourth quarter, Dan himself had 1 tackle and 1 sack in the game.

ISFL career

2058

It was finally time, Dan Dandrews had fulfilled his childhood dream of playing in the ISFL. After a short but slightly successful career in the DSFL, it was Dan's time to get called up and play in the big leagues. Yellowknife ended the season before 8-8 and needed the youngblood help to get the team back on track. Dan immediately impressed the coaches in camp and was made a starter at the start of preseason. At first Dan was scared, everyone in the ISFL is bigger, stronger and more talented than the players in the DSFL but Dan still knew he was ready. After looking impressive and going 3 and 1 in preseason, Yellowknife unfortunately ended the season 7-9. A young team with a lot of future potential but still a disappointing start to Dan's ISFL career. Dan himself ended the season with 27 tackles but only 2 sacks, Dan knows he can do better and will be spending the offseason working out to get stronger and faster to try and bring the championship to Yellowknife.

2059

Dan spent the offseason training as hard as he can for this season, he knew he had to improve for the team to get better, to get stronger, and for the defense to stop letting up so many runs. After letting up 488 points last season there was a whole lot of room for improvement and Dan took every single point personally. Even though their record didn't improve that much this season (all the way to 8-8) , their points against improved a lot, going all the way down to 430. Still not the best but an improvement of almost 4 points per game will help the team win a lot more games. Dan himself spent this season focusing less on tackles and more on taking out the Quarterback, going from 27 tackles to 11 but improving from 2 sacks to 6 and getting a forced fumble and safety in there. In his sophomore season he has taken on the more important role of pressuring the QB and trying to get the enemy offense off the field.
