The 2045 World Football Championship took place in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was the first edition of the World Football Championship, and Team SEUS emerged victorious.

Federation heads were permitted to select players based on birthplace, which assigned them to a specific WFC region. Players are also allowed one transfer in their career, moving their eligibility from one region to another – this does not get used if the WFC Commissioners re-align regions and move a player's eligibility.

Final rosters were required to be announced and ratified prior to the start of the tournament.
