Brock Bodenhamer (born April 11, 2015) is an American football wide receiver for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

The son of athletes, Brock Bodenhamer was naturally gifted for sports at an early age. He played all the sports he could sign up for. His week nights were spent practicing and playing in several different sports. In middle school, he played baseball and football, but towards the end he decided to focus just on football. Brock Bodenhamer played High School football in central North Carolina. He was a quick wide-receiver, allowing him to set many records at his local high school. After several successfull seasons in high school he attracted the attention of several scouts. The coaching staff at the high school were impressed with the attention surrounding Bodenhamer. Additionally, Bodenhamer was not one to let football crontrol his High Schoole experience. Bodenhamer was a good student, getting great ACT scores, and a member of several clubs. Still, football remained an important part of Bodenhamer's life. As a teenager, he was begining to show signs of maturity from the lessons he learned on the field.

College career

Despite drawing attention from scouts, Bodenhamer did not receive any scholarship offers from the Power-5 schools. He had some offers at other great schools, but decided to stay close to home and attend UNC-Chapel Hill and try out for the team. His efforts were successfull and he earned a roster spot. In his senior season, the team offered him a scholarship. He imrpoved a lot over his time at Carolina. His speed was his best trait, allowing him to rip into defenses. Throughout his collegiate career, Bodenhamer was a humble teammate, a supporter of his peers, and a lockerroom leader. Coaches loved his grit and determination. Bodenhamer would leave it all on the field, giving it his best at every opprotunitiy. Off the field, Bodenhamer was a good student. His GPA was among the top of the football team. While the school went through some academic controversy, Bodenhamer was the posterboy for student athletes. All of these factors contributed to him gaining the attention of the DSFL scouts who would frequent the ACC games Bodenhamer found himself in on Saturday afternoons.
