Aiden "Jitterbug" Frost (born August 8, 2029)[1] is an American football runningback and return specialist for the Dallas Birddogs of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). Frost played college football at Ohio State.

Early years

Frost attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his career, he had 121 receptions for 2,223 yards and 34 touchdowns, as well as 37 returns for 888 yards and 8 touchdowns. After initially committing to the University of Illinois, Frost committed to The Ohio State University to play college football. Frost had offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Kansas and NC State.

Professional career

DSFL draft

The Dallas Birddogs selected Frost in the sixth round (41st overall) in the 2052 DSFL Draft.[2]

ISFL draft

After the 2052 DSFL season, Frost was entered into the 2053 ISFL Draft. He clocked a 4.36 40-yard dash and a 4.05 20-yard shuttle. Frost also had a 26.2 inch vertical jump which was above average in the class. Frost was looked at by multiple scouts and had lots of eyes on him in the ISFL.

Frost was selected as Mr. Irrelevant in the 2053 ISFL Draft in the 4th round (47th overall) by the Orange County Otters. Due to character concerns he was immediately put on the trade block.

Dallas Birddogs

2052 season

After the draft, the Birddogs signed Frost to a one-year, $6 million contract.[3]

After being selected in the 6th round, Frost ultimately won the starting job after camp. Frost did not start a single game during preseason as he was told he would be the week one starter. Frost also became the second-string kick returner. In his debut, Frost had 16 attempts for 121 yards and a game-winning 48-yard run to put the team in the red zone. Frost also got 3 kick returns for 44 yards.[4] Playing the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in week two, he had a dreadful game. Rushing for only 14 yards on 11 attempts, as well as 1 catch for 8 yards.[5] Frost had a bounce back week with their week three matchup against the Norfolk Seawolves. He had 21 carries for 119 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career. He also caught a pass for 3 yards and returned 2 kicks for 45 yards.[6] Frost had another bad performance in week four against the Minnesota Grey Ducks. He rushed for 19 yards on 11 rushing attempts while having 68 kick return yards on 3 returns. Dallas lost in a close one, 22–20.[7]

Frost finally broke out in week 8 against the Tijuana Luchadores. Frost rushed 25 times for a franchise record 201 yards and 2 touchdowns, he also became the first player to rush for 200+ yards in Birddogs history.[8] Frost would not put up many good games after that. He would finish the season with 964 rushing yards on 222 attempts and 10 rushing touchdowns. He returned 31 kicks for 611 yards. He also had decent numbers receiving with 16 catches for 108 yards.[9] Frost and the Dallas Birddogs finished 7–7 and lost to the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the conference finals.[10]

2053 season

Frost inked a two-year $1 million contract with Orange County after being drafted in the 4th-round of the draft. He was sent down to the DSFL just days later, joining the Orange County practice squad.

Personal life

Frost comes from a long line of athletes in his family. His two brothers, Lane II and Kellan, played in the ISFL. His father Lane Sr played for the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns before becoming a college football head coach. Lane is currently the head coach of the Dallas Birddogs. Frost's uncles, Dax and Baxter, also played in the ISFL.

Frost is engaged with his fiance Maycee Porter, whom he has been dating since high school.
