Aiden "Jitterbug" Frost (born August 8, 2029)[1] is an American football runningback and return specialist for the Dallas Birddogs of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). Frost played college football at LSU and was drafted by the Birddogs in the sixth round of the 2052 DSFL Draft.

Early years

Frost attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his career, he had 121 receptions for 2,223 yards and 34 touchdowns, as well as 37 returns for 888 yards and 8 touchdowns. After initially committing to the University of Illinois, Frost committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football. Frost had offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Kansas and NC State.

Freshman

As a redshirt freshman in 2049, Frost appeared in only 5 games at runningback and returned two touchdowns as a punt and kick returner, Frost led the country in return touchdowns and return yards with 593 return yards and 2 return touchdowns. He also earned his nickname, "Jitterbug", from a former teammate.

Sophomore

During his sophomore season in 2050, Frost was one of the best return men in the country. 593 return yards and 2 return touchdowns (1 kick return and 1 punt return). Frost only played 7 out of the 11 games at runningback, sitting out for the first 4 games to learn the new playbook. Frost also ended the season with an ankle injury, but it wouldn't require any repairs as it was just a sprain.

Junior

As a junior in 2051, Frost led the country with 3 return touchdowns and 632 return yards. His 23 rushing touchdowns were ranked third most. On October 22, 2051, Frost broke the single-game record for most rushing yards against Alabama with 430 yards.[2] Frost and LSU would make it to the College Football Playoff National Championship, where Frost would have 10 attempts for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. LSU came up short, losing to Alabama 56–45.

Senior

Frost played only 2 games his senior year before tearing his ACL and ending his season. He still declared for the 2052 DSFL Draft.

After returning 5 punts for touchdowns, Frost passed Skyler Green for most punt return touchdowns in LSU history.[3] Frost also set the record for most return yards in a career with 1,786. Frost also broke the single-season punt return record with 3 punts returned in his junior season.[4]

DSFL draft

Frost was projected to be a third or fourth-round pick by the majority of analysts and scouts. During the DSFL scouting combine, Frost was clocked in at a 4.23-second 40-yard dash as well as testing a 20 in the Wonderlic test. Frost finished with the fastest 40 times for a runningback and had the Kansas City Coyotes, Dallas Birddogs and the Tijuana Luchadores all scouting him.

ISFL draft

After the 2052 DSFL season, Frost was entered into the 2053 ISFL Draft. He clocked a more impressive 4.22-second 40 time which again was best out of all runningbacks and players. Frost also added half of an inch on his vertical jump from the previous combine. Scouts across the league were looking at him.

After the draft, the Birddogs signed Frost to a one-year, $6 million contract, with a maximum of four years if he is sent down by his ISFL team in years two to four.[8]

After being selected in the 6th round, Frost ultimately won the starting job after camp. Frost did not start a single game during preseason as he was told he would be the week one starter. Frost also became the second-string kick returner.[9] In his debut, Frost had 16 attempts for 121 yards and a game-winning 48-yard run to put the team in the red zone. Frost also got 3 kick returns for 44 yards.[10] Playing the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in week two, he had a dreadful game. Rushing for only 14 yards on 11 attempts, as well as 1 catch for 8 yards.[11] Frost had a bounce back week with their week three matchup against the Norfolk Seawolves. He had 21 carries for 119 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career. He also caught a pass for 3 yards and returned 2 kicks for 45 yards.[12] Frost had another bad performance in week four against the Minnesota Grey Ducks. He rushed for 19 yards on 11 rushing attempts while having 68 kick return yards on 3 returns. Dallas lost in a close one, 22–20.[13]

Frost finally broke out in week 8 against the Tijuana Luchadores. Frost rushed 25 times for a franchise record 201 yards and 2 touchdowns, he also became the first player to rush for 200+ yards in Birddogs history.[14]
