Teemo "Honey Yordle" Swift (born December 22, 2028) was an American football linebacker for the New York Silverbacks. He played college football for University of Nebraska Lincoln and was drafted by the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the DSFL.

Teemo Swift started his career as a Safety before switching to Linebacker because of positional need in New York.

Early years

Teemo Swift was born in Omaha, NE before his family moved to Bandle City. While growing up he was an avid scout member which lead to an unwavering sense of morality. Around the age of 10 his parents noticed an unusual level of competitiveness. At times it appeared like a switch would go off for Teemo despite him normally being a charming and kind fellow. In an attempt to embrace this quirk Teemo started to play football in middle school. The competitiveness made him chippy even on offense which lead coaches to put him on the defensive side of the ball. He found comfort at that safety position as it allowed him to assess the offensive play from a distance. Despite the appearance Teemo has on the field most people enjoy his presence when off the field. At Bandle City High he lead the often undersized football team to their first 1 win season in over 25 years.

College career

Teemo Swift elected to go to the University of Nebraska Lincoln after receiving no offers for his football play. A 1 win season in 4 years doesn't often attract the eyes of scouts. As a walk on Teemo Swift was able to showcase his speed and ball handling despite being the smallest individual on the field. Due to his small size Teemo Swift worked on his ability to be in the right place at the right time rather than being an enforcer. His speed and intelligence has allowed him to overcome that portion of his game. Unfortunately UNL didn't win that many more games either as Scott Frost had been at the program for over 20 seasons at this point. After another disappointing year for the program Teemo Swift has elected to enter the Developmental Simulation Football League after his sophomore year. He looks forward to having an impact on the league and developing himself into an ISFL starter.

Season 2049

Teemo Swift's first opportunity to play came late in the 2049 Developmental Simulation Football league. Teemo was picked up off the waiver wire by the Tijuana Luchadores before Week 14. The Luchadores were in prime position to close out the regular season with the best record. While the Luchadores were able to complete this feat they unfortunately lost in their first playoff round to the eventual Ultimini Champion Dallas Birddogs. While Teemo didn't actually get to see the field since the Luchadores were doing everything right he was able to get his first glimpse into a DSFL locker room. This is something Teemo has publicly stated was a great positive so early in his career and he will remain forever grateful to the Luchadore community.

Season 2050

During the Preseason leading up to DSFL's 2050 Season Teemo was selected to play in the Prospect Bowl. He was a starting Safety for the Loch Ness Monsters. Initially the Monsters and Teemo got off to a great start tied for first in the South Division. That quickly disappeared though after the Monsters went on a 0-7 streak midway through the Bowl Season. Despite the team's shortcomings Teemo was able to lead the Prospect Bowl in multiple statistical categories at certain times to include interceptions, pick-sixes, and forced fumbles/recoveries. Despite finishing the Prospect Bowl with a 4-1 finish the Monsters ended the event under .500. There were concerns from the media how this would ultimately affect the Draft Stock of the team members.

Teemo Swift was drafted seventh overall to the Minnesota Grey Ducks. The decision was made based on scouting reports and positional need by the Ducks. Teemo was the second safety chosen behind second overall Quendyn Quarterstorm. Teemo's waiver wire team ended up going with the Dobble inventor Wide Receiver, Don Dobbler. Immediately after the draft Teemo tweeted what many took as a jab to the Tijuana Luchadores for not selecting him sixth.

Unfortunately for the Grey Ducks, the team struggled early in the season. Despite winning three of their four pre-season games, the Ducks found themselves with an 0-3 record to start. The team never really found their groove with a relatively young roster in comparison to the rest of the league. Fans quickly realized that this year would be about getting players some experience and setting the team up for success in 2051. Even with the team struggling to make the playoffs, Teemo Swift had a solid year his rookie season. Compared with other free safeties, Swift led the league with 52 tackles, tied for most forced fumbles, and had a pick six. ISFL Draft talks immediately started up once the regular season ended. While the season didn’t end how Teemo envisioned it to there was enough film to have Swift going in the first round in multiple mock drafts. With the draft fast approaching Minnesota fans are interested waiting to hear if Teemo Swift will be called up immediately or not.

Season 2051

The draft didn't take long for Minnesota fans to find out where Teemo would spend his time in the ISFL. Teemo was selected third overall to the New York Silverbacks. A team that was clearly in the redevlopment stage, Teemo was excited to get an opportunity to help out a relatively young franchise. Minnesota fans were estatic to find out that Teemo would be spending another year at the DSFL level. In addition to that, Teemo Swift was awarded as the Safety of the Year in the DSFL 2050 Awards.

The season started off to a great start with a 3-1 record. Unfortunately that would remain the high point of the season as Minnesota failed to separate themselves from the London Royals. Teemo's stats would ultimately be lower and less impactful from his 2050 Rookie of the Year season. Rumors started circulating that Teemo's lack of impact this season was due to an upcoming position change. Reporters in the NYS market started to say that Teemo would be playing linebacker in the 2052 season giving him a chance to learn behind a few veterans in the position. Once Minnesota's regular season this information was confirmed.

With the swap to linebacker the talks started immediately again about how undersized Teemo was to play on defense, let alone the linebacker position. Only time will tell as the ISFL rookie enters his first year with the Silverbacks.

Season 2052

Expectations were low for the New York Silverbacks coming into Season 37. While the team was doing an excellent job rebuilding the team, the franchise was still a year or two away from competing. Expectations for Teemo were also quite low. Once again his size and stature were criticized for playing such a physical role. While the Silverbacks started the season with a win against Berlin, the team started to play to expectations. New York would start the season 1-3 in the regular season before eventually ending the season 6-10. Despite being in competition for a playoff spot in the last week of the season, New York ended up with the 3rd overall pick. Considering where the roster was in the rebuilding process most fans were quite happy with how the season played out. Within reach of the playoffs but still nabbing a high draft pick.

Individually Teemo also performed slightly above expectations. While the season started off slow for him the Honey Yordle found his footing midway through the season. Teemo didn’t lead any statistical categories but made several high impact plays. Whether it was a 67 yard interception that changed the momentum of the game or a game ending sack that knocked the opponent out of field goal position Teemo continued to show up. As S38 approaches the fans of New York are excited to see what’s next.

Season 2053

The offseason for the New York Silverbacks had fans excited for 2053. A number of free agency signings and calls up made it clear that the Silverbacks were making a serious push to be playoff contenders this year. After a below average year in 2052, New York started off with a 5-1 record. The second half of the season saw a slight decline though with the Silverbacks just barely making it into the playoffs. Week 16 came down to 3-4 teams looking to take the 3rd seed in the ASFC. Fortunately for the NYS, they controlled their own fate. A 42-14 win over Honolulu had morale sky high as they travelled to San Jose. San Jose were slight favorites, but New York got off to a hot start and never let off. 31-9 was the final score allowing New York to travel to Arizona to face the Ultimini favorites. In what came down to a very close game, New York’s playoff run ended in Arizona with a score of 28-31. Arizona would end the playoffs with an Ultimus win the next week against Berlin.

On an individual level, Teemo took a step back this season. Teemo often dropped back into coverage due to personnel and that is clearly seen in his total PDs for this season compared to 2052. With less opportunities to rush the QB, sacks and tackles for loss declined. Despite the stats, Teemo had a great time being surrounded by veterans from around the league due to free agency. While not all players will be back in the 2053 season, Teemo Swift is excited to step up and take a bigger role in New York as he has 1 year remaining on his contract currently. Rumors are he plans to sign with NYS long term.

Season 2054

As expected going into the 2054 season, the New York Silverbacks took a minor step backwards due to short term contracts. Despite this the Silverbacks stayed in the race for a playoff berth right up until the final week of the Regular Season. Fans were unhappy as the Silverbacks started the season off 0-5 at home with an overall record of 3-6 at the time. The locker room rallied though and managed to claw back to a 6-8-1 record. Going into Week 16 the Silverbacks didn't control their own destiny but stood a legitimate chance at punching their ticket. Unfortunately, NYS lost to AUS and NOLA beat SJS to get the final spot in the AFSC Playoff Picture.

Teemo Swift saw a marked improvement in his game following a less than ideal statistical season in 2053. Teemo improved his tackles by 18, saw 9 more sacks, and continued to be a factor in shutting down opposing passing games. While the defense did let up the 6th most points they were the 4th best when it came to total yards and the best defense against the pass. Teemo is excited to gain the experience and hopes to see the defense continue to grow as the rumored long-term contract came to fruition. An 11 year contract through S50 was signed prior to the season's start and looks to see Teemo be a staple for New York for a long time.

Season 2055

A relatively quiet offseason for the Silverbacks had the fans unsure of what to expect heading into the season. The offense was being spread with an aging quarterback but and running back in their prime. The defense was seeing a young group of key players get their rhythm together. Call backs to a defensive heavy team that relied on a strong run game was all you would hear in New York. Week One did nothing to help quiet down the concern other fans had though. A 62-21 Week One win over a solid Orange County Otters squad led many fans to celebrate early. Unfortunately, the season quickly went down hill after that. A 2-9 record showed up quickly and talks for the number one overall was all the fans had to celebrate for.

Despite the record, Teemo had a solid year in a defensive squad littered with young talent. Veterans like Regina Ferraro and Dax Dangerfield saw a marked improvement in the surrounding younger players. Webb led the league in tackles and was second for tackle for losses. Many fans are excited to see this defensive group in the following year with this year’s big rookie class to come.

Season 2056

Another slow start for the Silverbacks had fans worried. While fans weren’t blinded with the thoughts of Ultimus contenders this year they were optimistic that New York would be in the playoff push. Instead, the team started off 1-4. Going into Week Six New York was facing off against the Outlaws who were also struggling. This win against an historic franchise seemed to jolt the Silverbacks back into a competent team. While the Silverbacks came up short by a game or two, fans are optimistic after Blaine Falco’s rookie season. The offense looked much more balanced and the defense was suffocating at times. If the offense continues to grow and the defense can minimize the big yardage plays fans are talking about playoff games in the very near future.

As for Teemo Swift’s season, he had another solid season on a stacked defense. A very similar statline to the previous season, the balanced nature of the defensive squad allows any player on the roster to ball out. Teemo had a few multi-sack games and tallied his first ever safety. While his stats were not the flashiest when it came to some individual performances he continued to show that New York was correct in forcing the position change as he’s been extremely dependable and an anchor alongside Bay Webb.

Season 2057

Expectations were great for New York as they entered Season 2057. The biggest question mark on the roster had another year of experience under his belt at quarterback and the fans were clamoring for a playoff appearance. Unfortunately, New York got off to a slow start. New York started off 0-2 with an understandable loss to Arizona and a panic-worthy loss to San Jose. The New York media was quick to blame players, the GMs, and anyone close to the organization for the rough start. Heads were called for but New York eventually crawled back. Weeks 8 through 13 saw a 6 game win-streak and New York was already selling tickets to a round 1 playoff appearance. New York continued to the success and finished with an 11-5 record for a 2nd seed in the ASFC. Just as the fanbase thought the momentum was on their side though New York suffered a huge loss against Honolulu in the first round. While expectations were a playoff appearance, it still stung to see New York lose in this fashion. Fans are doubling down though and excited to see this roster return in Season 2058.

On an individual level Teemo probably had his best season so far on New York. Established as a clear leader alongside Bae <3 Webb, Teemo found himself elected as a Pro Bowler. Statistically Teemo improved on almost all fronts and had a flurry of forced fumbles to start the season. As that regressed to the mean Teemo found his impact in other statistical categories. Teemo is starting to find himself on the wrong side of 30 though and is viewed as a veteran presence. Experts believe this may be the peak of his career with a bigger importance on locker room leadership moving forward. When asked about this Teemo made no qualms that the goal is to get New York a ring and individual statistical categories mean nothing to him.

Season 2058

Expectations were sky high for the S43 New York Silverbacks roster. While the casino was still lukewarm on a strong performance, the Silverbacks were excited to get back on the field after a disappointing Playoffs exist in S42. The Silverbacks would get off to a hot start with a 5-0 start before dropping a surprising defeat at home to the San Jose Sabercats. Unfortunately for fans this turned into a two week loss streak with another loss to Cape Town at home. Fortunately, the Silverbacks took these losses personally and wouldn’t lose again in the regular season. 14-2 was a New York best record for the regular season and also led the league this season for all teams. Part of the team’s success was due to a mid-season trade to acquire the younger RB from Chicago, Frank Dux. The league finally started to notice the Silverbacks and many had them as the favorites for the playoffs. After a bye due to their seeding, New York was set to host Arizona at home. After a tough start the team found a comeback in the 4th quarter for a relatively low scoring game. Swift had a big play with 44 seconds remaining to stall Arizona’s drive that eventually resulted in a turnover in downs. New York then turned their attention to Baltimore who secured their ticket to the Ultimus with a win over Cape Town. In what ended up being another low scoring, defensive affair, New York lost to the Hawks 10 to 16.

Teemo Swift had a solid year for a team that was recognized as one of the best defensive units on the year. Ranked 1st in run defense and 4th in pass defense, the New York defensive players were clearly firing on all cylinders. While Swift didn’t have a standout year he wasn’t upset at all with the power house defensive teammates he had. A running joke in the locker room was that since everyone was so good, there would likely be no Pro-Bowl selections based on stats. This turned out to be false but Teemo wasn’t selected despite the solid year.

Season 2059

The 2059 Season had very similar expectations to the 2058 Season when it came to New York. While the defense was certainly aging the fanbase was excited with the Frank Dux acquistion and all talks about a an even older offense disappeared. New York wasn't the ASFC favorites but playoffs were the standard to be expected. New York had a great regular season with an 11-5 record finishing second behind Honolulu. The Silverbacks would go on to beat Austin in the first round. Unfortunately the Playoff dream died in Honolulu after a heartbreaking fumble late in the fourth. This set up the Hahalua to kick a field goal and secure their bid to the Ultimus. Silverback fans were at least happy to see that they were so close to beating the eventual Ultimus Champs.

Teemo Swift saw a drop in stats as father time finally started to catch up to him. Donte Darius took over the other outside linebacker position alongside Webb which meant Teemo was moved back inside. Teemo was overall happy with his performance though for the year and even more happy with the team's performance. Rumors are that Donte will be testing free agency in the offseason and Teemo could be expected to move back to the outside come 2060.

Season 2060

The Silverbacks and their fans were coming to terms when it came to the current roster. The team's age was starting to show and the window was quickly closing at the start of 2060. While the dream wasn't dead there was a clamor for the management to sell the key pieces and start the rebuild. New York would start the season with a loss to the Hahalua which didn't help their case. Over the course of the season the team would jump back and forward from giving hope to taking it away. The season would prove to be quite chaotic for a number of teams which saw a Week 16 having multiple playoff scenarios play out. Unfortunately New York would come up short at 8-8 but did end up with the 5th overall pick.

Teemo Swift saw a slight increase in his play overall. After having a bit of a down year Swift would see a big increase in fumbles, sacks, and tackles for loss. Bay Webb was the all star of the linebacker group in New York this season but Swift wasn't too far behind him. The age was starting to show but Swift was still able to compete and was a positive contribution to the defensive unit overall.
