"Octavion "Freaky Speedy" Speedings (born March 31, 2034) is an American football Quarterback who is currently a Quarterback for the New Orleans Second Line. He played college football for University of Texas and played for the Dallas Birddogs in the DSFL.

Early years

Octavion Speedings was born in Houston, Texas to parent Thaddeus LaGrone who was a Brand Strategist, Music Artist (THADDBOII), Producer, Actor and Author. Growing up he didn't really know his biological mother as his parents separated at a early age, Rather he was raised solely by his LaGrone who gained custody of Speedings due to his mother battling drug addiction. He attended the prestigious football highschool Adelo Highschool in Texas where he first excelled in track alone before getting introduced to football by the football coach Ariel Johnson. From there, recognizing his athletic gifts he branched out to play other sports such as basketball and baseball, the latter he almost decided to pursue a professional career in due to the potential earnings he could make as a star MLB player. On the football field he led the Adelo Bearcats to 3 straight consecutive state titles. He was a star at wide receiver, but also played lined up at corner on defence as well as returning kickoffs and punts. He was honored with numerous awards in football and track. He was a consensus 4 star recruit in football and was offered multiple scholarships from D1 schools, most notably Alabama, Texas and LSU. He ultimately decided to stay home and commit to the University of Texas to play football.

College career

Octavion was redshirted as a true freshman to hone his football skills a little more  but quickly earned a starting position in 2053. As a sophomore he was an absolute beast going for 20 TDs and regularly torching the best corners in the NCAA, for his efforts he was awarded the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver, and was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American. As a junior in 2054 extreme defensive game plans were geared specifically at stopping Octavion and college coaches dreaded having to go against him, despite all this he went for 1522 yards and 18 TDs emerging as the the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver for the second consecutive season and consensus first team all American. After 2 of the most dominating seasons at the position where he won 2 straight Biletnikoff awards he decided to forgo his senior season finishing his college career as perhaps on the best wide receivers ever, Declaring for the DSFL draft.

Norfolk Waiver Season (S40)

Octavion Speedings joined the DSFL at the trade deadline, therefore he was placed on the DSFL waiver wire for all DSFL teams interested. Turns out the Norfolk Seawolves were, as they picked up wide receiver Speedings and welcomed him into the lockeroom. The Norfolk Seawolves were the best team in the DSFL at the time with the a 7-5 record at the time of acquiring the young wide receiver. Speedings himself didn't record any significant stats, as he was 4th in the depth chart for the team, however his impact couldn't be denied as the Seawolves won 3 of their last 4 games after picking Speedings up. For his unknown contribution he helped the team place 1st in the conference & the best record in the league at 10-6. Going into the playoffs, Speedings still didn't get any opportunity to positively impact the team. The Seawolves would go on to face the Ultimini winning Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the Semifinals, where they lost 27-16. After the s40 DSFL season wrapped up Octavion Speedings was released, to enter the s41 DSFL draft. Octavion Speedings was drafted in the 4th round, 28th overall

Dallas Rookie Season

Octavion would not wound up getting drafted back to the team he spent waivers on, the Norfolk Seawolves but by the Dallas Birdogs. Despite not getting any playing time last season, Dallas GMs recognized how well Octavion Speedings developed, progressing nicely at Wide Receiver and wae slotted as WR2 on the depth chart behind fellow Birdog draftmate Keanu Calhoun who was drafted a round ahead of him. They had a friendly competition for the #1 wide receiver spot in the training camp & preseason where he performed admirably, however he was ultimately slotted as WR2 on the depth chart before the start of the season. Dallas would go on to have a pitiful season. They had the worse defense in the league as well as the worst record at 2-11-1. Octavion Speedings still managed to have a solid rookie season at WR2. Ending the season just over 1000 yards and just below double digit touchdowns. It's also worth noting that Speedings decided to bulk up and switch to Linebacker, in hopes to raise his draft stock.

Season 42 Dallas Birdogs

During the training camp of season 42 Octavion Speedings was called to the office of his ISFL GM, they discussed before the draft that if New Orleans Secondline drafted him he'd change his position to Quarterback and become the signal caller of the future and that idea really interested Octavion. They also wanted Octavion to make his position switch effectively immediately but there was one problem with that in Octavions mind. They already had a qb. A relatively young one who could use a year or 2 in the DSFL. When Octavion approached his DSFL gms with this dilemma he was told not to worry and that Wolfie McDummy actually got called up early, so Octavion started his training effectively immediately. He knew it was gonna be tough but the athlete he was he knew he could do it. It was just that for Octavion to start the season, TOUGH. He was arguably the worse starting qb in the league and the team was struggling. Fortunately Octavion started to his stride and the team went on a 6-7 game win streak. Unfortunately the division was an extremely competitive one and the Birdogs placed 3rd due to tiebreakers and missed the playoffs despite a 9-5 record. On the bright side Octavion did announce that he will have one last dance with the team in season 43.

Season 43 Dallas Birdogs

Octavion Speedings was back in Dallas for his 3rd and final season as a Birddog. He was looking to make the playoffs and win some achievements for the first time with the team. It certainly looked possible as Octavion had the QB spot to himself as he was maxed out and the QB he shared time with the previous season had switched to offensive lineman, protecting his blindside all through out the season. He finished the season with a respectable 22 to 7 TD-INT ratio leading the Birddogs to the 9-4 record and a conference championship berth, mostly due to the elite defense but Octavion certainly contributed to the solid offense. Unfortunately the season ended in a bit of a dissapointment as the team lost to the Tijuana Luchadores 21-16. Octavion Speedings however performed admirably earning the offensive player of the game honor as he went for 305 yards and 2 TDs. As for his other goal- making the pro bowl, that unfortunately didn't happen as he was snubbed in a disgusting, rotten and utterly filthy decision. However Octavion gets to look forward to the next chapter... the ISFL and leading his team New Orleans Secondline to multiple Ultimus wins.

ISFL Career

New Orleans Secondline Rookie Season

Octavion Speedings went into his 1st ISFL season with not the best supporting cast ontop of being one of the younger signal callers in the league along with his draft mate Josh Patterson. Octavion didn't forget that Patterson was picked before him in the draft to the San Jose Sabercats where Speedings does have connections with- his agent CeeKay once played for them briefly. Speedings made it his mission for his rookie season to outperform fellow rookie signal caller Patterson as well as win any significant record. Specifically the Offensive Rookie Of The year Award. Things were looking up for the young quarterback after his debut game against the Butchers, where he went for 338 yards along with 2 touchdown, finishing with a 116 QBR leading the Secondline to a surprise 1-0 start. Although they did came back to earth going on to win only 2 more games that season, Octavion Speedings was definitely a bright spot on the offense finishing with a solid rookie season and out performing rookie quarterback Josh Patterso. He also broke some New Orleans Secondline passing records:

  • Most completions in a season: 461*
  • Most completions in a game: 40*
  • Most attempts in a game: 60*

With the team having a great offseason and Octavion developing even further things are looking up in New Orleans, Speedings believes the sky is the limit for him next season.

S45 New Orleans Second line

Octavion Speedings went into S45 looking to improve on an impressive rookie season where he broke several franchise records, he did just that as he seen his production increase in every aspect, most notably his efficiency. Increase in production and efficiency allowed him to secure a humble top 7 finish in fantasy. Speedings #1 option at wideout Hank Mardukas also proved to be a force to be reckoned with finishing the season with his best season to date. The tandem of Speedings to Mardukas looks to be a exciting one to watch as both players continue to develop even further. That wasn't the only thing that improved as Speedings led the Secondline to their best season in a while, even though they still finished last in their conference, they were still a competitive and if not for some abysmal luck late in games their record of 5 wins would've been much much better. With that being said it seems like the New Orleans Second Line are really breaking through their shell of mediocrity to a competitive playoff aspiring team, with even further development from the young stars of New Orleans it looks like a breakout season is on the horizon, not only for Octavion Speedings but for the team alike.

S46 New Orleans Second line

The S46 season saw alot of high expectations for the Secondline to be a competitive, not only from the team and Octavion but the isfl world alike, albiet the fact they were still a really young team and the conference were as competitive as they ever were with TPE juggernauts in the Orange County Otters and Arizona Outlaws. Not to mention the reigning ISFL Ultimus winners in the copperheads looking to make a repeat, AS WELL as the San Jose Sabercats sporting a very competitive team. The expectations crumbled as the Secondline started the season winless at 0-6, Where they decided to make a huge move, that was met with great criticism from the isfl world, sending 2 firsts for high TPE players in Liv Elsathelookout and Billy Jor El with the latter being a 1½ season rental. With these moves the Secondline went on a 4 game winning streak before crumbling once again to end off the season with yet another 6 game losing streak. However on a higher note, individually Speedings shined as he led the league in passing yards by a good bit. He was awarded a pro bowl nod for his efforts, giving him his first for his career. With the expectations for the Secondline to perform next season at an all time high, Octavion and Co are welcoming the pressure to succeed as they look to silence the doubters once and for all in a high stake S47 season.
