Leek Mai-Heinous (born September 3, 2022) is an American football wide receiver for the Honolulu Hahalua of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

Born to an oil rig worker and a prostitute, Leek Mai-Heinous was abandoned and sent to an orphanage by his mother. His father found out and brought him to the oil rig where he was raised by one Jimbob Heinous. Jimbob was the reason Leek pursued football, and his death pushed Leek to seek a career in the ISFL. Leek did not have the social upbringing most children did, instead being surrounded by burly men his entire life until the age of six, when he was first taken off the rig to participate in his first game of pee-wee football. From there, Leek was hooked, only leaving the oil rig to participate in football related activities. Leek was homeschooled on the oil rig. In 2022, a massive explosion and other subsequent life-altering events caused Leek to seek the guidance of a witch, who required he be transformed into a vegetable. After that, he was obtained by the pokemon Farfetch'd.

College career

Leek did not attend a college, instead, he was one of the most storied high-school players of his generation and was recruited directly after graduating due to his extenuating circumstances (of being turned into a leek and needing to achieve greatness in the ISFL to be able to return back to his human form). While in high-school, Leek helped his school to their first playoff appearance in twenty-five years. After that, he lead them to a championship that same year, and while breaking multiple school and state records the next year, succeeded in the elusive back-to-back high-school state championship. Leek is famous for a number of memorable plays, including his actions in the Immaculate Reception, Extension, the helmet catch, and of course the championship winning corner of the endzone toe-tap. His accomplishments earned him notice from a number of DSFL teams and the next year he was signed to the Dallas Birddogs.

Professional career

DSFL career

Leek Mai-Heinous started the S34 season late, being picked up off of waivers and missing the first game of the season. This did not deter Mai-Heinous' production, as he swiftly jumped to the top of the receiving yardage chart and led the league in receiving average for the majority of the season. Though he only finished with six touchdowns, Mai-Heinous' season was a marked success, ending in a highly sought after Ultimini victory. Mai-Heinous played a pivotal role in the Dallas Birddogs' playoff run, where he had a magnificent 55 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of their conference championship game, which would be the required points to push the game to OT where the Birddogs would later eek out the win. From there, it was another fantastic performance in the championship, where Mai-Heinous racked up a team high 128 receiving yards to go along with a touchdown, blowing out the Grey Ducks 33-7. Mai-Heinous finished the regular season just shy of 1000 yards, and consequently was the 19th overall selection in the S35 ISFL Draft by the Honolulu Hahalua.

Leek Mai-Heinous' second season of professional ball saw him sent back down to the DSFL, to spend S35 with the Dallas Birddogs once again. The season started slow, where Mai-Heinous was unable to reach 100 receiving yards in each of the first four games, until finally hitting the century mark against the Portland Pythons in week 5. From there the season was a bit of up and down, where Mai-Heinous was unable to establish a dominant streak, but also never succumbed to long stretches of mediocrity. The season ended for the Birddogs well before the regular season was over, being eliminated from playoff contention nearly halfway through the season. Mai-Heinous was in the hunt for DSFL WRoTY, but with a lackluster performance down the stretch, was unable to push to the lead in either yards or touchdowns, finishing fourth and second in each respectively. Overall, the season was a bit of a disappointment for the young receiver, although they did finish with 69 total receptions (nice).

ISFL career

S36: Leek Mai-Heinous was called up to play in the WR3 position for the Honolulu Hahalua in S36. Statistically, Mai-Heinous ended 2nd in receptions, yards, and receiving average, and tied for 1st in touchdowns among rookie wide receivers. The finish did not earn Mai-Heinous any rookie or positional awards on the season, though he was named to the S36 All-Rookie team by media vote. During the playoffs, Mai-Heinous continued his lukewarm performance, tallying a total of 49 yards on 4 catches, doing his part in a team win over the Arizona Outlaws in the conference championship. Mai-Heinous scored his first playoff touchdown of his career in this game, a 16-yard reception to extend the Hahalua lead in the second quarter, after which Mai-Heinous was not targeted again. In the Ultimus, Mai-Heinous would lead the team in receiving yards and tie for the reception lead, scoring late on a critical go-ahead touchdown with just 1:19 remaining. The season was a marked success, despite the lack of individual awards, leading Mai-Heinous to extend his contract with the Hahalua through S40 during the following offseason.

S37

S38

S39: Leek's fourth season saw him begin as the team's presumptive WR1, if not because he was the only wide-receiver rostered at one point, but also due to some restrictive contract clauses that guaranteed he would play out of that position. The clauses were dropped mid-season in favor of team strategy flexibility, and LMH finished the season 2nd overall in yards and touchdowns, and 1st overall in catches. For all intents and purposes, LMH was the Honolulu Hahalua offense, when running back Bean Delphine Jr. was not touching the ball. Leek finished the season with 11 drops and 6 fumbles, which was apparently enough to demote him below six other WRs in terms of yards and touchdowns, not even earning a second-team all-pro nod (LMH was only voted for once in all of the voting). LMH finished the season without a ring, and without any individual accolades, which compared to earlier success, makes the S39 season a resounding failure.
