Kyle Crane (born January 11, 2031) is an American football runningback for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Kyle Crane was born in Chicago, Illinois. Information on his parents is not known. He attended Lincoln Park High School, where he acheived a 3.8 GPA and got a 1390 on his SAT. He Ran track for the school, being the teams top runner in shorter distance competetions, like the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. For his academic and track feats, he was recruited by the University of Illinois, where he played from 2048 to 2050 for 2 seasons. After those two seasons, Crane joined the United States Armed Forces, where he served for 2 years until he was discharged. He then did mercenary work for 1 year before he was hired and trained by the Global Relief Effort. After being hired by the GRE, he became an operative in the calamity stricken city of Harran, where Crane helped out the locals and furthered the relief efforts inside the walls.

College career

Crane went into the University of Illinois without a scholarship for academics or athletics, despite his standout performance in each. He majored in Criminology and minored in health and physical education/fitness. He joined the local speed and agility club, where he began to learn about parkour, and increased his agility training above what he could have reached normally. Crane then went to walk-on day at the Memorial Stadium, with his newfound agility and high school speed netted him notoriety within the coaching circles. However, due to his lack of any team sport experience, Crane was initially told that the coaching staff "would call him if any positions opened up", meaning his football career was over before it began. 2 weeks passed until a Spartan Sprint Charity event was held at the University quad, where competed and beat out the other students and student athletes that competed. By chance, the RB coach for the Illni was in attendance, and was impressed enough to give crane a 4th slot on the RB Depth Chart. After a 5-7 Season, Crane was promoted to the 2 string RB after the top RB graduated and the 3 string stagnated in development. For his sophomore year Crane saw slight use, as a fifth WR and second option on triple option plays, until week 5 while facing #5 Michigan in Ann Arbor where the starting tore his MCL on a counter play. Crane came into the game with 5:56 left in the 3rd quarter down 34-10. Crane then netted a total of 230 all-purpose yards and 3 TD to lead Illinios to a 38-34 Win over #5 Michigan. Crane then proceeded to have 1000 all-purpose yards in his next 9 games, leading the University of Illinois to a 9-5 record from their 1-4 start.

Crane Listed as a draftee after the draft window closed, so he was sent to the waiver pool to be claimed by a team. With the second overall waiver claim, the Tijuana Luchadores selected Kyle Crane as their second rookie RB of the S41 class.

2055 Season (S40) - Tijuana Luchadores

Beginning the season, Kyle Crane was the third-string running back for the Tijuana Luchadores for the first 4 weeks of the season. During those first 4 weeks, he had 34 rushing yards averaging 2 yards a carry, and had 4 catches for 25 yards. Between week 4 and 5, Ezra Azazel changed from running back to cornerback, leaving the second running back slot to Kyle Crane. For the Last 10 Games, he rushed for 428 yards, averaging 4 yards a carry and 53.5 yards a game, and recording 4 touchdowns. He also caught 29 passes for 205 yards, one of those catches being for a touchdown. 2056 Season (S41) - Tijuana Luchadores

After a disappointing end to a season 40 campaign, Crane spent all of his summer away from any press or football. Only at Tijuana OTA's did Crane make a comment regarding his absence, in which he stated "After that season was over, there was a kind of... pit, inside of me, eating away. We had a heartbreaking fall from grace and it was really tough for me, y'know. I just took this offseason to right the ship up there in my noggin', so it's time to get back to work". Crane Started as the second-string running back for the Luchadores in 2056. He added to his DSFL resume with 858 Rushing Yards throughout the regular season with an average of 4.6 yards per attempt. He had only 3 rushing touchdowns on the year, marking a low for him on point scoring. He made up the 1 touchdown deficit in rushing by adding a 1 touchdown surplus through the air. He had 2 receiving touchdowns on the year, along with 279 receiving yards, 23 catches, and an average of 7.7 yards a catch. Crane scored a touchdown in the DSFL South Conference Championship but was mostly absent from the playoffs, notching only 75 rushing yards in both games. Crane did win the Ultimus with the Tijuana Luchadores, capping off an incredible journey for Crane and the Luchadores.

2057 Season (S42) - New Orleans Second Line

During the S41 offseason, Crane was called up from the DSFL to the ISFL, and was promoted from RB2 on the Luchadores to RB1 on the Second Line. This felt like a start of a new era for the New Orleans Faithful, as it was the first time since S26 that a rookie Running Back led the team in rushing yards and carries. Crane had his breakout game in the Second Line's only win, rushing for 163 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a rushing long of 61 yards at the end of the second quarter. He led the Second Line to a 33-31 win and was named offensive player of the game for his efforts on the field. Although the 1-15 season for Crane’s first season was less than ideal, his season totals were more than ideal for himself. He rushed for 1356 yards, 9 touchdowns, and had a rushing average of 4.3 yards. He had a standard year catching the ball, gaining 293 yards in the air, and catching 1 touchdown. His stellar performance notched him an S42 Offensive Rookie of the Year Nomination.

2058 Season (S43) - New Orleans Second Line

After the 1-15 Season that occurred less than a year ago, both Kyle Crane and the New Orleans Second line saw brighter things ahead for the team. However, unfortunate timing and actions stuck with the team, as NOLA lost a key part of their new LB core, and the OL Core didn't develop as expected. The team still had hopes to progress in terms of win-loss records, to 3-13. A new signing of Adrian St. Christmas also dampened Crane's optimism of reaching his contract bonuses, as the New Orleans front office indicated that they would prefer the passing attack this year. Crane had a regression on the ground for him this year, as he only rushed for 1159 yards for 4.0 YPC, and 7 touchdowns. Crane rushed for 197 yards less and 0.3 YPC less than his rookie year. The increased passing attack did lead to an increase in yards gained through the air, as Crane caught for 463 yards and 1 touchdown. New Orleans only went 1-15 on the season on an overall status quo for a team that needed a steady improvement on the season. After the Season for the ISFL, Crane moved on to the WFC and played RB2 for the Midwest region. In his limited capacity in the running attack, Crane was able to pick up 730 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, more than his ISFL season while only starting 4 games for the WFC. Crane also rushed for 4.7 YPC. This good stint gave Crane some optimism while heading into his Junior year of ISFL Play

2059 Season (S44) - New Orleans Second Line

2059 was Crane's long awaited breakout season, becoming a legitimate threat to defenses across the league. While his rushing production dropped (859 yards in 2059 compared to 1159 yards in 2058), his dual-threat status increased, as his receiving production continued to skyrocket. He caught for 690 yards and for 5 touchdowns, continuing his role as the workhorse for the New Orleans Second Line offense. His contributions led to an increase in the win total for the Second Line, ass they increased to an optimistic 3-13 on the season, tying for last against the San Jose Sabercats. The optimism came from many close calls throughout the season, where if one or two plays went their way, they could be looking at a 6-10 season. Alas, it was not meant to be. However, in the games they did when Crane was always the star of the show, normally totaling 150+ scrimmage yards and a touchdown or two. For his efforts in the year, Crane was elected to the 2059 Pro Bowl, and his prospects for 2060 were looking bright as ever

2060 Season (S45) - New Orleans Second Line

Those bright prospects that Crane had for the season were quickly dashed, and this was truly a season to forget for his 4th season on this team. While the rest of the team progressed along with Kyle Crane, the Front Office seemed to progress everyone in NOLA in terms of game planning and volume except for Crane. He was stuck at around the same amount of carries through the air and ground, and the yards only slightly increased. He rushed for 226 attempts, for 935 rushing yards, for an average of 4.1 yards per carry. He had a dismal 6 touchdowns on the year, a career low for him. His receiving statistics were stagnant, as he only finished with 673 receiving yards, 8.5 yards per catch, with 6 touchdowns. The one bright spot for Crane on the year was ball security, as he had no fumbles for the second year in a row. The bright thing to look forward to next year is that with all of the work he put in, he truly became an athlete.

2061 Season (S46) - New Orleans Second Line

Kyle Crane's season was dual threat amplified, but his rushing stats truly took off, he was 9th overall in rushing yards and 6th in receiving yards for running backs. He totaled 1,833 scrimmage yards on the season, a new career record for the maturing running back. He finished with 13 touchdowns total, his second highest career total. He had 1137 rushing yards on 272 carries, finishing on a 4.3 rushing average, tied for the highest in his career. He also ran into the endzone for double digits, 10 times. He also had 676 yards on 72 catches, getting 3 touchdowns on the year. The year for NOLA started with heartbreak and constant disappointment, starting 0-6. But after some trade deals with the Honolulu Hahalua, New Orleans rattled off 4 straight years. However, they soon finished the season losing their last 6, bringing the record to 4-12. However, the new acquisitions and development of the team leads experts to believe next year will be NOLA’s year to make a push for the Ultimus.
