Ezra Azazel (born October 11, 2033) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Louisville (UofL) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Ezra Azazel was a young boy born in Austin, Texas. Where he lived the majority of his life before his father who was a historic player at the University of Louisville. Ezra had always grown up wanting to be like his father so since he was young he had began playing with the local teams. When he played, he was one of the faster kids and was often on the defensive end of things but wanted to play on the same side of the ball as his old man. He worked to lose weight and make it so that he can be on the offensive side of the ball where he took up the position of Running Back like his father. Ezra played a bit different from his father though, Ezra did not have the natural quickness that his father did but Ezra was a bit more physical and was able to catch pretty well. He developed into a receiving back in HS where he was able to break a state record for recieving yards as a Running Back.

College career

Upon finishing his HS career, out of the gate Ezra did not receive many offers but he wanted to play for his dad's old team. University of Kentucky which had offered him nothing and he was very disappointed about it. However the University of Louisville reached out to him and he jumped at the offer to go up against his father's past team every year but they offered for him to be a RB. Which he happily took as he had just wanted to play football at this point. Ezra ended up going to the University of Louisville where he majored in sports admin and would play RB. He did not garner a starting spot till his sophomore year when one of the two lead backs went down with an injury. He put up great numbers going out of the field with his impressive hands and also got the ground game going several times. However he did not earn the sole spot till his senior season where he would start all of the games. Leading the ACC among RB in rushing touchdowns receiving yards. He also broke records for the school in rushing touchdowns.

Switching Positions

Ezra Azazel had decided on being a running back all his life, but things changed drastically after joining the DSFL. They were going just fine for him, but he felt like he was missing something in the game. What you could call a spark is what he had said. This is when Ezra approached Tijuana Co-GMs Jason and PBS asking them how they would feel about him switching positions. Both GMs were receptive about the change and wanted Azazel to do what was best for his future and they did not want to hold him back at all. Azazel waited a bit to jump the gun because he did not want to leave his team in a tough spot. After a couple weeks he had made the switch to be a cornerback which sparked his ISFL career with teams reaching out early on hoping to get a shot at this player.

GM History

After season 41, we saw the step down of two wonderful GMs that had led Tijuana for quite some time. Jason and PBS were legends and had decided they would pass the legend on to the next generation. Ezra Azazel and Dub Redd then took over. Immediately they had a wonderful draft again securing the future 1OA of the ISFL draft, Dino Nuggets which leads Tijuana to having back to back 1OA picks for the ISFL. The Luchadores had a great season under the two new GMs and truly flourished in the first half. In the second half things got rocky but nonetheless Tijuana secured a playoff spot. A new term was coined as well which was called DJuana for one of the best DSFL defenses we had seen in a long time. There were so many great pieces on this Tijuana team that allowed them to succeed. Eventually in the playoffs the Luchadores match up against the Buccaneers and secure a win in what was a slow game. In the championship against the Coyotes though, things were looking great large lead, five minutes left. Then the impossible happened, the Coyotes tied it up and forced OT. The game would end up going into double OT with the Luchadores winning on a game winning FG securing their tenth championship.

Next season would be his last season as GM of the Tijuana Luchadores. He would step up to GM in New Orleans Secondline replacing his mentor once again. He ended with a winning record in Tijuana of 17-10-1 in regular season games and a 2-1 record in playoffs where they lost to Norfolk in season 42. Ezra is approaching his first season of leading New Orleans and was ecstatic to help bring in some great rookies this season.

History with the Secondline

Ezra was drafted to the Secondline at 5OA and has grown to become a large part of a rebuilding team. The team had gone over some rough patches in season 41 and 42 but going into 43 they look much better than the past two seasons. Though they are not at that time when they are ready to get an ultimus in just a couple seasons they will be close to having a lot of their players peak which will be what helps lead them to the playoffs. At corner, Ezra has not been able to get much done but with his fellow cornerbacks, Johnny Delusional and Dino Nuggets they are having a great time on and off the field.

Year three with the New Orleans Secondline was a rough one as the team was expecting to get maybe a win or two with the addition of Adrian St. Christmas. Unfortunately things did not shape out just how the Secondline had planned and instead we see another 1-15 season. Ezra was frustrated but he knew he couldn't show it as he was seen as a leader for the team. Ezra had decided this offseason he was going to take a break from football and all the mess as the leader of the team, he had to clear his mind. Get ready to bring this team back to where they want to be. Ezra helps bring in Thomas Passarelli and Scott Junior who are expected to be absolute forces of destruction when they get their chance in the ISFL. Especially newly turned wide receiver Thomas Passarelli who switched positions after we brought him in.

The Fall of The Secondary

As the season of 44 continues on in the ISFL, some disturbing news hits New Orleans that may change the course of things for the team for a good while. Johnny Delusional has just announced his retirement, a man who has been not only a cornerstone but a mentor in the New Orleans secondary is taking a step away from football finally. He was a legend in the locker room and will surely be missed. This news shocked Ezra but he knew the day would come one day. Later on in the season give or take a couple weeks, the trade deadline loomed and something unthinkable happened. The New Orleans Second Line traded one of their other cornerstones in the secondary... Dino Nuggets had formally requested a trade to Baltimore and would have left the team if not traded. Things were at an all time low for the NOLA secondary. What used to be a fun populated position in NOLA had turned into a one man army.

New Orleans Turn Around

Now let's be honest it has been a long time since New Orleans has been good and this is the first time in a while where the team was not slotted in to be first overall, this time it was second overall not much better but they showed constant promise on the field. We could see this through many of our individuals play especially after Azazel had one of his best seasons with a career high 4 ints and a near career high PD total this corner is getting better as time goes on. With having learned under the Apollo Program for the season he was able to broaden his understanding so that he would be able to make on the balls play that lead to turnovers. With a young secondary of Scott Junior, Dawelle Wevis and Paul Edgecomb. Azazel looks to act as a mentor to these young rookies in hopes of leading this team to a playoff run before he retires.
