King Zeus (born July 13, 1) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of Gods (OLY) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Zeus was born on Kreta, secretly, in a cave near the village of Lyktos. His mother, Rheia, hid from his father Kronos as she feared that the child instantly would be killed by him. They were Titans, and Kronos feared that his mighty children would disempower him. It wasn't the best circumstances to be born in and definitely not what you would call a happy family. Instead of Zeus, Rheia gives Kronos a stone to swallow. So Zeus grows up in the hiding, fed by a goat and people from the village. He early knew that he's destined to be great, and sooner or later he'll be clashing with his father. He was training hard to challenge him. When Zeus learned that his father didn't just intend to eat him, but already did with his brothers and sisters he stood up and faced him. With a ruse he let Kronos disgorge all of his siblings. Then a big war started, where Zeus and the gang fought hard against the Titans. Finally, they did win and Zeus became King of the Gods, that's why they also call him King Zeus.

College career

Zeus lived a long live ruling over the Olymp, but he always felt something was missing. He couldn't fill the hole in his heart with various women he fell in love with and had various children. The occassional fights against the Titans, when they tried to rise up again, were just some minor distraction to the tristesse of his allmightyness. That was around the time he found a new passion, which was the god-like sport of American Football. He went on to learn everything about the game, and trained really hard to get in shape for his ultimate goal, joining the International Simulation Football League. One of the harder decisions was, at what position he should try to enter the league. You would assume that he comes in playing Quarterback, as he isn't used anything else than leading. But he found another position that became his passion, Cornerback. What better feeling there is to shut down routes, pick off the ball and break up passes. So here he comes: He is fast as lightning and plays exciting like thunder, here comes King Zeus to break passes asunder.

College career statistics

King Zeus didn't happen to play football in college, but he already played a few games in the DSFL after joining there. This are the overall stats, regular season and postseason.

DSFL career

2047 Season (S32)

Before his first full season of DSFL action happened, King Zeus was drafted. The team that took a chance on the mighty god who entered the league with an instant Ultimini title were the Norfolk Seawolves. Norfolk took a chance on him in the second round an drafted him at 14 overall. The rookie Zeus went on to start all 14 games for the Seawolves this season, and also lead the team in interceptions with 2. King Zeus was one of the important pieces of the league-best defense and also league-leading team. They finished the regular season with a 12-2 record and a league low points allowed of only 239 points. With the number 1 seed they went on to the playoffs, where they eliminated the Tijuana Luchadores with 40-20. King Zeus had a quiet game, recording 1 tackle and 1 pass defensed. In the Ultimini, Zeus lead the team in tackles with 7 on their way to the championship in a 26-22 win over the Portland Pythons. He also recorded 1 pass defensed. That's how King Zeus became a back to back Ultimini champion.

ISFL career

2048 Season (S33)

After his first full season, King Zeus got drafted to the ISFL, as every player does. This time, he got selected in the first round as the 9 overall pick by the team from Florida. It's quite a coinsidence that the god of thunder wanted to go to the team that's more suiting for his brother Poseidon, but he kind of rooted for that team and was super excited to find out that he indeed ended up on that team. King Zeus was called up to the big league right away, which was kind of surprising to see for him, but nevertheless exciting and meant he has to work even harder to keep up in the pros. He played all 16 games that season and played mainly at the position of Nickleback. He ended the regular season with 37 tackles, 10 passes defensed, 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. The Sarasota Sailfish ended the season as the number 1 seed in the NSFC with an overall record of 12-4. That meant they had a first week bye (theoretically) and faced the Baltimore Hawks in the conference championship game. It was a close game which wasn't theirs to win that day, losing 24-30 to the later champion. King Zeus had a subpar first season, and going all the way to the championship game continues his strive of greatness.

2049 Season (S34)

In his sophomore season, King Zeus made a step back production wise, which was due to defensive packages and formations Sarasota ran this season. He was the nickleback when they played that formation, and he posted 30 tackles this year. This is 7 less than the season prior. But Zeus at least could improve on the interception front, where he managed to record his first interception in his ISFL career. With Free Agent aquisition Raeni Clarke and Calvin Hobbes there were two elite defensive backs ahead of Zeus in the depth chart. Raeni Clarke leaves the team with the end of the season again, which elevates Zeus to CB2 for the next season, which should mean a lot of improvement in stats. The Sailfish had a kind of up and down season all year, and finished the regular season with a record of 10-5-1. That was the 3rd place and another playoff appearance. The longest playoff streak in the league was continued, unfortunately they lost the wildcard round against Berlin Fire Salamanders and called it a season that way.

2050 Season (S35)

King Zeus advanced to CB 2 in his third season in the big league. He moved up in the depth chart due to the retirment of Sarasota all-time great Harrison Andrews, and swapped from playing nickelback to outside corner. On the other side of Calvin Hobbes, King Zeus played his best season so far and took another step forward in the big leagues. He hoped for a bit more, but what he got going was the closest to being a really good CB in the ISFL so far. He recorded 94 tackles, 3 interceptions and 21 passes defensed, which all are all-time highs for him in the league so far. In fact he tripled all his numbers compared to the season prior. Sarasota had a lot of bad luck this season, as coming in as one of the big favorites on the division title they missed the playoffs for the first time in ages. In fact, Sarasota missed the playoffs for the only second time in their team history so far, finishing the season with an 8-8 record.

2051 Season (S36)

King Zeus played his fourth season in the ISFL, and he was successful doing so. In the cornerback tandem with Calvin Hobbes he played again the Cornerback 2 role, but improved slightly over his prior season. Although he posted less tackles and slightly less puss breakups, he still made a step forward. The lack of tackles can be put on the fact that there were less defensive snaps played. King Zeus managed to score 4 interceptions, which doubles his career interception count. This season he also scored the first pick 6 of his career. When it came to tackling, he also was a force and scored 2 fumbles which he both recovered. After a lackluster season the Sarasota Sailfish bounced back big and were never in doubt to miss the playoffs. They fought against the Chicago Butchers until the very end for the best record in the league, but fell short finishing with 12 wins and 4 losses. In the playoffs the table turned though, and the Sailfish not only beat the Yellowknife Wraiths in the wild card game, also they bested the Chicago Butchers to advance to the Ultimus for the first ever fish bowl. Unfortunately they fell short to the Honolulu Hahalua in a close game.

2052 Season (S37)

This season was a very successful one for the Sarasota Sailfish. Very successful and not phenomanal, as they fell short to the Arizona Outlaws in the Ultimus in the championship game of the season. They very well deserved to be in that game, as they throughout dominated their division and finished the regular season with a 12-4 record. In the playoffs they advanced with a blowout win over the Yellowknife Wraiths to face the Arizona Outlaws in the final game of the season. Unfortunately they couldn't live up to the regular season performances they have shown, and lost the finals. King Zeus played a very good season and was one of the better cornerbacks throughout the season. He lead all defensive backs in tackles with 110, the second most of the league were 94. You see, he was all over the place. Zeus recorded 4 interceptions and forced 2 fumbles, 1 of them recovered. 22 passes were broken up by him, that's something he definitely wants to improve on in the next season. As he is 8 behind the league leader.

2053 Season (S38)

A very unlucky season came to an end for the Sarasota Sailfish with a 7-9 record. The big favorites in the NSFC, they finished only 4th and missed the playoffs in the end. A lot of games were lost on one score games, but they also couldn't play like the favorites in some matches were they were the big favorites. King Zeus season was a good one, though he was supposed to be a much bigger difference maker on defense. The god of thunder played one of his best seasons in the league, but wasn't really top of the league in any category. He posted 3 interceptions over the season, one of them returned for a touchdown. 22 pass breakups is close to the top, but the leading cornerback still has 11 more than him. 3 fumbles were forced by him, and Zeus also recorde a sack in the season. 90 tackles is also 11 shy to the leading cornerback in the league. All in all, Zeus and the gang hope to come back way stronger in the next season.

2054 Season (S39)

After an unlucky season in the previous years, the Sarasota Sailfish were back on track to the playoffs ending the season with a solid 10-5-1 performance. The first tie in league history was enough to secure the second seed in the division. The postseason was soon over though, with the Sailfish going out against the Chicago Butchers in a nailbiter, losing 22-24 at home. King Zeus had a very quiet season this time around. After years of constant improvement, he kind of struggled this season and was not able to post any outstanding stats that season. 91 tackles is solid, but only makes him finishing 4th in CB rankings. He managed to get 1 forced fumble, which is solid but also not anywhere near the top in defensive backs. Where he lacks most is definitely in the department of interceptions. He only managed 1 interception throughout 16 games, which is really troublesome for a defensive back of his caliber. 30 passes defensed is a solid number, that's up with the top players at his position. Only 1 CB managed to break up more passes (33). Next season it is to hope for King Zeus to get up to his talent level again and show the league, what he has in him.

2055 Season (S40)

The Sarasota Sailfish went into the season with their hopes up, ready to get another playoff push done and make some splash in the league. The season started out not quite well for them though. After a 1-1 start - which still was fine - two tough losses to Baltimore and Chicago followed which threw their playoff hopes off the track and never recovered from it. They managed to get to 3-3, but two more losses where almost the nail in the coffin as the other opponents for playoff spots rallied away. A lat small winning streak didn't do enough to get into the playoffs, and the Sailfish ended the season at 8-7-1. Fun fact about this season: the Sarasota Sailfish are the team in the conference with most points scored and the least points allowed. They still managed to finish 4th in the conference. So when they won, they often times won in a blowout. On a personal note, King Zeus had his best season in the league so far. He recorded 104 tackles (2nd among CBs), 4 forced fumbles and two recovered fumbles and 1 sack. 5 interceptions and 34 passes defensed (2nd among CBs) are a career high for both stats for him. Next season King Zeus will try to get another season like this and is trying to manifest himself as one of the greatest CBs of his time.

2056 Season (S41)

In a close division with two presumably favorites to win the division, the Sarasota Sailfish battled for the 3rd playoff spot right from the start. They started with ups and downs into the season, losing against Cape Town and Yellowknife, who were the supposed favorites to finish first and second, but also managed to beat a direct opponent for the last playoff spot, the Colorado Yeti. What wasn't expected before the seasons started is that the Chicago Butchers were the once to battle against. A tough loss against them in week 5 was countered with a whooping 51-0 win in week 10. Don't losing the tiebreaker against them was the thing that put the Sailfish into playoffs, as both teams finished with a record of 9-7. In the wildcard game, the Sailfish travelled high up north to face the Yellowknife Wraiths. The Wraiths might not have expected what they got, as the Sailfish pulled away in the last quarter to win 40-16. The game that kept them from another finals appearance was the one against Cape Town Crash. They lost 20-34 to call it a season. King Zeus played a very good season, with having several outstanding games. He finished with 98 tackles and a dominant 5 forced fumbles, of which he recovered 3. 4 interceptions is good as well, returning one of them for a touchdown. Also he posted 32 passes defensed, which was close to the top of the league.

2056 Season (S41)

In season 41, the Sarasota Sailfish where not exactly a team that was seen as playoff contender. But they surprised a lot of people and played really well to start the season. Alternating wins and losses followed an outstanding outing in weeks 5 and 6 which pulled them ahead the 0.500 mark. In the remainder of the season, they again alternated wins and losses, until it came to two consecutive home games. They had the playoffs on the line, and winning just one of those two would have gotten the Sailfish into playoffs. Unfortunately, both games, against Yellowknife and Colorado, where lost in high scoring affairs. The Sailfish ended the season going 8-8 and missing the playoffs by just 1 win. King Zeus was demoted to CB2, after Harley Andrews reached the peak of his career. At CB2, King Zeus still played a solid season, scoring 2 interceptions, 75 tackles and 2 fumbles which he recovered both. You would think a god fights regression harder, but time put a toll on the mighty back.
