Jordan Hartline (born November 22, 2029) is an American football linebacker for the Berlin Fire Salamanders of the National Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

Jodarn Hartline has always been a huge football fan and he has loved every second of being on the field. From a very young age he showed promise and he always enjoyed spending time with his dad who was his coach through much of his upbringing. Jordan Hartline loved the physicality of football and even when he was playing in Pee-Wees; yes that was the name of the league he played for as a child, he had a knack for playing both sides of the ball. On offense he was always a consistent presence that the quarterback could think of as a sure thing. Always being able to put himself in the right spot and making sure that the the Quarterback had a target to throw too. On the defensive side of the ball he was always seen as a leader and you knew that you were going to find him at the MLB spot. He was never afraid to put his nose in the middle of the action and his ability to make an impact on both sides of the ball allowed him to be noticed right away when it came to offers from colleges around the country.

College career

After a stellar High School career Jordan Hartline got the opportunity to play for Brigham Young University at the collegiate level and this is where he began to really show his abilities as a player. As a true freshman Jordan Hartline began to play on both sides of the ball for BYU, playing as a Tight End on Offense and being thrust right into the middle of the defense as MLB. His ability to be impactful on both sides of the ball earned him All-Team honors as a freshman and he carried that over into all of his years as an upper classman. His Sophomore and Junior season he led the team in tackles while remaining a force to be reckoned with on the offensive side of the ball grabbing a handful of touchdowns in both seasons. In his Senior year he really hit his stride as a Linebacker and had a season that showed that he was ready for the big leagues and that whatever team he ended up on was going to get an amazing player!

Tijuana Luchadores (2050 - 2050)

2050

Officially, joining the league after the 2050 Trade Deadline meant that Brach was placed on a waiver list. However, he did not last very long as the Tijuana Luchadores quickly grabbed him in order to bolster their late season play-off push. Jordan Hartline was picked up with 4 games left to go in the 2050 season and spent the first couple of games learning from upper management and trying to fit into his new temporary home. He finally got the nod to get some game time in the Week 11 match-up against the Portland Pythons where he only was able to gather in one pass that was thrown his was for 2 yards, but helped the team to a huge win with a score of 31-27. With a play-off birth all but guaranteed, Jordan was given another 3 games in the regular season and in the finale against the Kansas City Coyotes he managed to pull in another pass for a respectful 8 yards. While the Tijuana Luchadores would be knocked out in the first round by the Norfolk Seawolves, Jordan Hartline was a great presence on the team and was able to learn a lot from the organization and will be utilizing that in the upcoming draft.

Bondi Beach Buccaneers (2051 - 2051)

2051

With the first pick in the 5th round of the Season 36 DSFL Draft the Bondi Beach Buccaneers chose to bring Jordan Hartline over to the team. However, this selection was one that was not based on his talents as a receiver. Shortly after arriving to Bondi Beach the team worked hard with Hartline to reignite his abilities as a Linebacker. The young BYU prospect made the transition very quickly and earned himself the starting MLB spot and was a huge voice on the team. In his first game for BBB Jordan Hartline posted an incredible stat-line of 11 Tackles, 1 FF, 1 FR and earned himself Defensive POG honors in a 38-20 loss to the Norfolk Seawolves. The team would go on to win their next games against the Dallas Birdogs and lose in Week 3 to the Portland Pythons. In week 4 Jordan Hartline made his presence felt once again as he achieved his 2nd Defensive POG honors by posting a stat-line of 7 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 FF and 1 FR in a 24-20 win over the London Royals. Jordan Hartline would continue to put together solid stats for the remainder of the season as the Buccaneers had an intense playoff fight with the Norfolk Seawolves. In the end BBB would do just enough and earn a trip to the playoffs to go against the Tijuana Luchadores. Jordan Hartline would end the regular season with a very solid 90 Tackles, 2 TFL, 4 FF and 3 FR, 1 Sacks and a very impressive 2 Interceptions and 7 PDs. His training as a receiver as definitely turning into a big help for the team. Playoffs rolled around and it was going to take a monumental effort from the entire team to beat the seemingly unstoppable Tijuana Luchadores. The team fought hard and Jordan Hartline made his presence known and grabbed his 3rd Career Defensive POG with 7 Tackles, 1 Int and 1 Def TD. Unfortunately the team would come up just short and be knocked out by a score of 27-24. While the regular season was over the draft for the ISFL was just around the corner and Jordan Hartline quickly readied himself for the draft!

Berlin Fie Salamanders

2052

Jordan Hartline was selected 10th overall in the 1st round by the Fire Salamanders in the Season 37 International Simulation Football League Draft. The Berlin Fire Salamanders immediately called up the young Linebacker to play as a true rookie along side a young core that the Fire Salamanders are developing. Jordan Hartline paired up with his former teammate from Bondi Beach, Kevin McThumper on the strong side and Fred Edison a second year man on the weak side. Succeeding as a true rookie and the early start to this season definitely showed the inexperience that Hartline had. He struggled to grab many tackles or force any turnovers early on in the campaign. As the season progressed though, you could see areas of improvement in his game. He was becoming more vocal on the field and was stepping up and making more plays for the team. He managed to string together a modest rookie campaign that saw him rack up 75 tackles and 2 sacks. He was also able to make a slight impact in the passing game with 8 PDs in order to help Berlin move to a 7-9 record on the season. Look for Hartline to have a huge sophomore campaign as Berlin continues to develop.

2053

Heading into his Sophomore campaign Jordan Hartline looked to build off a rather successful, but quiet rookie season. The Berlin Fire Salamanders were still looking to rebuild so there was not very high expectations for the team and Jordan Hartline was just looking to continue getting comfortable in that MLB position. Over the offseason he worked hard on his tackling ability, and his ability to drop back in coverage. The team found early success and quickly began to transition into a very competitive team and Hartline was able to keep up in his development. Throughout the season Hartline was able to rack up 95 tackles and was able to cut his missed tackles down from 11 to 6. He also vastly improved his coverage game adding 2 Interceptions on the season. This improvement helped lead Berlin to not only a divisional title but also a conference championship before they ultimately would lose in the Ultimus to Arizona. It was a great season for the 2nd year linebacker and with young talent all around him he will look to continue the improvement next season.

2054

Jordan Hartline entered his 3rd season in the ISFL with high expectations. Following the extremely successful run of the Fire Salamanders to the Ultimus in the last Season there was high expectations for the defense as the team continued to mature and look even more dangerous. Jordan Hartline continued to focus on getting stronger and tried to work on his ability to read plays and make more of an impact on the field. However, this season was definitely a let down for the young MLB. He managed only 87 Tackles, 2 Sacks, and 6 PDs. This was a decrease in every statistical category from the season before. The only improvement that was seen for the young LB was that of his missed tackles. He only missed 5 this season and that is something that he be excited about. Overall, the Fire Salamanders just did not look like the same team last season and Hartline definitely struggled. Look at him to bounce back in the coming season as he adds yet another year of experience for himself.

2055

The talented Linebacker out of Brigham Young University is starting to find his form for the Berlin Fire Salamanders. He is continuing to get more opportunities on the field and the improvement is beginning to show. Having always prided himself in his ability to cover the pass it was nice to see him have a bounce back season in coverage as he would go on and add 2 interceptions after not having any at all in 2054. He also managed to add 18 PDs which is a career high in that category. Speaking of career highs, Jordan Hartline was able to show a lot of talent in his tackling game this season as he managed to cross the 100 tackle mark for the first time in his career and only missed 3 Tackles in this season. All of these were bests for the young Linebacker. He was also able to make more of an impact in causing opponents to lose yardage as he was able to add 4 sacks and 2 TFL in this season. He also managed to have both a FF and a FR. While the team did not perform up to expectations, Jordan Hartline definitely is and we are expecting big thigs very soon.

2056

Last season did not go as planned for the Berlin Fire Salamanders and that statement can also apply to Jordan Hartline's season. Coming off a career best 102 Tackle, 2 INT and 18 PD season the young LB out of BYU just did not look himself for the Fire Salamander's last season. Elected Captain by his teammates there was a lot of pressure in regards to Jordan Hartline's expectations this season. There is no telling if that extra pressure was something that caused not only Hartline but, the whole team to struggle. For Hartline he only managed 82 Tackles and 1 TFL in his 16 games this season. He also missed 4 tackles which was up from only 3 the season before. These are not drastic decreases in performance but it is something that is definitely alarming for the LB. His biggest disappointment was his inability to make an impact in coverage. Being a Coverage LB was always his specialty and this season he let his team down and did not cause a single TO and only having 4 PDs. Even his sack numbers took a hit this season. Overall, it was a very forgettable season for Hartline and the rest of the Berlin Fire Salamanders.

2057

The Berlin Fire Salamanders had a great bounce back season in Season 42 after a very lackluster campaign in Season 41. Unfortunately that did not ring the same for Jordan Hartline. The MLB continues to show a decrease in performance after a stellar start to his career a few seasons ago. Taking a look at the numbers we can see that for the 2nd season in a row the total tackles have decreased as he only managed to grab 78 which is his lowest total since his rookie season. Another concerning stat is his lack of involvement in TFL and Sacks as he managed 0 TFL and only 2 sacks this season. Also since his solid season in 2055 he has not been able to cover passes like he used to and only managed 5 PDs that is his second worst stat line all time. I am not sure what is happening with young Hartline but he is not fitting in well with Salamander Defense at the moment. Hopefully he can bounce back soon!
