Joe Bazooka (born March 15, 2036) is an American football runningback for the London Royals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Joe Bazooka comes from a small town in Ireland named Tullamore. Just about 60 miles west of Dublin the city is not well known by tourist. It does have a unique whiskey company named Tullamore Dew though and has been gaining popularity since it's return in 2014. When Bazooka was a young lad Ireland did not have many football options as Rugby was popular back in the day. Joe excelled in rugby and landed on The Offaly county official team. County Offaly ended up winning with Bazooka as one of their main stars. Still, Bazooka wanted to experience more. He had one offer to play football come in and that was from the great continent of Antartica. Bazooka Turned down not only offers from other great colleges to play rugby but also baseball. He was a lefthanded hurler who could touch 97 by the end of High school. Football had to work out.

College career

The first team that came to call was the McMurdo Station Mountaineers, so Joe joined them. At first Joe was a little in shock with how cold it was, and the population of McMurdo Station was only 93. How could this league stay afloat with nobody watching. But people were watching. It was being broadcasted on every continent in the world. In his time their Bazooka ran for over 6,500 yards and 40 touchdowns in just two seasons. He was named MVP for both seasons and ended up being the poster boy for more kids to come and play college football down in the frigid cold in Antartica. Needless to say, the ISFL came ringing very quickly after his second year. Unfortunately, the season down south did not end in time for Bazooka to throw his name into the draft pool. So, the waiver wire came calling. Then the London Royals came calling.

Professional career

Bazooka was the very first player claimed off of waivers at the end of the S43 DSFL draft. London was in need of a strong Running back and since Bazooka missed the DSFL draft he entered the portal after his college season was over. Once given the opportunity in practice Joe showed he was the true number one RB on the London depth chart and started learning the playbook quickly. In season Joe had a slow start in the season opener only rallying up 49 yards on 18 carries but showed he was worth the pickup in game two by grabbing the game ball and scoring his first two touchdowns. His season highest achievements would come in weeks 7 and 8 when he would grab back-to-back offensive players of the week for rushing over 100 yards in both games. London unfortunately fell short of the playoffs, but Bazooka showed he was worth a pick by rushing for the most yards of any rookie at 899 yards. he had over 1,000 all-purpose yards and London will be making a push for next season. For the ISFL draft, Bazooka was drafted by the Baltimore Hawks 14th overall in the first round. Not bad for a waiver claim. He will continue to grow down with the London Royals, but the time will come when he is called up to the ISFL and he could not be more excited.

Year 2: London had yet another tough season. Finishing 4-10 and giving up the second most points in the league. They need some help in some areas, so Joe Bazooka has decided to make a switch to Linebacker to help out his fellow defenders. Baltimore has asked him to try it out as well because they're stacked in that area up in the ISFL. Switching the Linebacker isn't something he is taking lightly. For his last season as a running back it went pretty well showing a 4.0 rush average running for 926 yards. What made him more impressive was his Kick return abilities and having the longest run back this year in the league of 100 yards. All in all, Bazooka had an amazing season at the helm for the Royals top running back and has a lot of people wondering why he is switching to linebacker. If he can show out this season as the top Linebacker on the squad that should shut those people up.

Year 4: Finally get the call up to the Baltimore Hawks. At first, I didn't know how I was going to be used. Would I be splitting time? would I be and outside linebacker or strictly on the inside? After the first game it was very clear that I was the main middle linebacker for the Hawks. It was very exciting to see the tackles go up for the season and if I'm not mistaken, I believe I led the team in tackles this year. Which for a rookie was huge, I also led all rookies in tackles overall for the season. Baltimore as a team had a lot more success this season and took the number 1 seed going into this season's playoffs. Unfortunately, we came up just short in overtime against the Yellowknife Wraiths in the semis. It was heartbreaking loss but also showed what we had for the future for Baltimore. Some serious heavy hitters and we will be back.
