Caleb Hayden (born October 19, 2028) is an American football linebacker for the Honolulu Hahalua of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Caleb Hayden was born in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up as a New England Patriots fan, and always loved the game of football. His favorite player to watch was Shaq Barret, Linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He always loved seeing Shaq come around the edge at such a high speed and sack a quarterback, it's one of Caleb;s favorite things to see. He always wanted to be like Shaq one day, and that’s what he started doing. He was always practicing and always doing laps around a track to help him get faster. He isn’t the biggest player in the world, but having such deadly speed will cost a quarterback, and that’s what Caleb aims to do. His family has always supported him through this journey, bringing him to practice and training, so let’s see if this all pays off, so Caleb can become one of the greats.

College career

Heading into college, Caleb was one of the highest rated Linebackers in the area, breaking numerous records across the High School. The college of choice was, of course, Boston College (BC). He could not be more excited to have such an opportunity to play for a famous college like this. After his first two weeks, he had already racked up 3 sacks, and 23 tackles, and some pro teams are starting to take notice. At the end of the college season, Caleb picked up 17 sacks and 204 tackles in 16 weeks. He is known to be one of the top prospects for the upcoming DSFL draft, and Caleb is loving all the hype around him. He cannot wait to put over a jersey in the draft, hearing his name be called, and the roar of the fans in the arena, it will be amazing. Caleb can’t even fathom what the atmosphere will be like.

Career

Caleb Hayden is claimed off of waivers by the Dallas Birddogs in S36, then drafted 2nd Overall in S37 to the Kansas City Coyotes.

2052: Rookie season and team struggles

Ah yes, after getting drafted in S37, Caleb Hayden is ready to solidify the defense for the Coyotes. Kansas City has a lot of hope in their rookie, and cannot wait for the season that lies ahead. KCC has very high hopes this season, after only really thinking they needed to add defense in the draft, which they in fact did. But alas, this was not the case. KCC had a very rough season, going 4-10 on the season, and claiming last in the league. After claiming the 2nd overall pick in the draft in S37, they will now hold the 1st overall pick in S38. Not the worlds greatest achievement you want to show off but it's still nice to have. Caleb Hayden on the other hand, has a historic year. He was amazing in every linebacker category and is considered the top prospect widely around the league. Hayden could even further improve his game and come back stronger next season, if there is a next season.

2053: Last DSFL season, and the ring to go with it

After a rough rookie season, Caleb and the Coyotes are aiming to rebound. Kansas City had claimed that 1st Overall pick, and they hoped to use it to their advantage, and boy, did that turn out well. Kansas City had very much improved this season. They went on one of the best runs the DSFL has ever seen, going 13-1 on the regular season, almost dominating every team in its path. Caleb, well knowing he would be called up to the majors after this season, had used all his energy and helped bring Kansas City to this point. Caleb was again, one of the better linebackers in the league. But he wasn't aiming for stats this season, he wanted that ring, as much did all his teammates. The DSFL CC comes around, and the Coyotes smoke the Minnesota Grey Ducks, it wasn’t even close. Then in the Ultimini, with everything on the line, something just clicked. KCC being down 0-3 to start the 2nd half, Brian Duke gets a huge sack to put Norfolk in safety range, but Caleb Hayden was able to reach the quarterback and sack him, for a safety. This was the biggest turning point in the game, and KCC has ridden that momentum till the end, to become the S38 Ultimini Champions.

2054: First career season in the ISFL, and it was a good one

Caleb Hayden, one of the best players in the DSFL at the linebacker position for the past 2 seasons, has now been finally called up into the big leagues. He is now joining the Honolulu Hahalua, a team that drafted him 3rd Overall in the S38 ISFL draft. Honolulu have had their fair share of struggles the past two seasons as well, being eliminated in the semi-finals in S37, then going 0-16 in S38. This season, Honolulu is hoping to make some noise and get a couple of wins to get the team morale back up. Caleb himself, as the season went on he seemed to get stronger and stronger. He started off slow, but then was able to start racking up tackles and get some sacks towards the end of the season. Caleb has made himself a name for the ISFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, but fellow teammate Maxwell Jacob-Friendman is also putting up a tough competition, but overall, it was a good season for Caleb and the team.

2055: Improvments

Hayden was looking for improvement. He was upset with himself for only getting 6 sacks last season, and he wanted to get more. He worked over the entire offseason to improve on his agility and speed, along with his ability to take less penalties. His hard work payed off, but not by much. Hayden had what seems to be a career year, totaling 119 tackles, and a career high 15 TFLs. He improved from 6 to 8 sacks this season. This wasn't what he was hoping for honestly, but he knew he was getting in the backfield a lot with the TFL totals, but he really wanted to hit that double digit sack total. He was close, and he will need to work on some more stuff this off-season, but he will be more ready than ever. His goal will still be 10 sacks, but he is aiming for more, and never stopping until he can be the best version of himself.
