Blaine Falco (born February 12, 2030) is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Blaine Falco is the son of former quarterback, and Ohio State alum, Shane Falco and Annabelle Farrell. After finishing his career with the Washington Sentinels Shane and Annabelle stayed around the D.C. area where they gave birth to Blaine. Blaine grew up with a football in his right hand and has the same demeanor as his old man. After setting records in high school for D.C. Prep he followed in his father's footsteps to Ohio State University. He was a a 4 year starter in high school and ended up winning a state championship in his Junior year. His senior year he suffered a throwing shoulder injury near the end of the season and was forced to have surgery missing the rest of the year. Many teams pulled their scholarship offers, but instead of taking a scholarship to a smaller school he chose to walk on at Ohio State and fight for a starting job.

College career

Blaine did not receive much playing time during his tenure at Ohio State. He was rehabbing his right shoulder still and ended up not on scholarship. He sat behind multiple future NFL quarterbacks and high NFL draft picks until he as given a chance to compete for the starting job. It wasn't until his senior year that he was able to start. It was a down year for the Buckeyes but they still managed to make it to a bowl game. It was a down year for the Buckeyes as they failed to make the Big Ten bowl game and lost multiple regular season conference games for the first time in over 20 years. Ohio State would go on to lose to the Auburn Tigers in the Outback Bowl, ending Blaine's tenure at the school. Despite the less than stellar quarterback play during his time in the scarlet and grey, Blaine decided that he wanted to give the pros a shot and entered his name in for the DSFL draft

DSFL career

Blaine Falco was picked up by the Minnesota Grey Ducks off of waivers for the end of Season 37. He then entered the DSFL draft where he slid all the way to the 5th round and 6th pick by none other than the Minnesota Grey Ducks.

Blaine Falco played sparingly in his first year on the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Recently position swapped offensive lineman now quarterback Painted Penguin manned the offense. In limited time on the field, Blaine led a competent offense showing good pocket presence and making the most of his opportunities. In the meantime, Painted led the Grey Ducks to a playoff berth where they were ousted in the first round. Afraid that he would slide in the draft, Blaine was focused on making the most of his opportunities. He worked hard in the offseason and met with numerous teams to confront the questions about his skill set and whether or not he could make the jump from the DSFL to the ISFL or even the college game to the DSFL since he had not had much game time. New York didn't let him get past the second round as the Silverbacks traded up for the former Buckeye and made him the heir apparent at the position. Now Blaine is focused on leading this Minnesota air attack back to the playoffs as the starter this season.

Heading into year two in Minnesota, Blaine was highly motivated to lead the Grey Ducks back to the playoffs. Penguin was set to be called up and Falco was tabbed the week one starter. However, Penguin was sent back down right before the season started and the two were set up to battle throughout the remainder of the preseason. Despite the Grey Ducks going 1 and 3, Blaine was tabbed the starter. Falco started off alright, guiding the Grey Ducks to a 6-2-1 record through the first 9 weeks. While his stats were slightly less efficient than they were the year before, he continued to lead Minnesota back to playoffs. However, while he played well the team struggled over the last half of the season. They limped into the playoffs going 2-2-1 over the final five weeks. It was good enough to win the division but hardly enough to get the job done in the playoffs. Minnesota fell to Kansas City in the first round and they would eventually go on to win the Ultimini. Falco was not bad by any means but his completion percentage of 54% was unfavorable and the team struggled as a whole. He enters his last year in the DSFL looking for his first playoff win.

In the offseason there were rumors that Painted Penguin would finally move onto the ISFL and Falco would lead the Grey Ducks full time. Midway through Training Camp it was announced that Chicago was not happy with his development and they were sending him back down to Minnesota for the season. Falco was noticeably upset and let it affect his play. After not showing much promise in the pre season to lead the team, Minnesota decided to split time between the two. After a 2-5 start to the year, the team finally decided to just let Penguin take the majority of the snaps. Falco failed to gain any consistency and had his worst statistical year of his career in addition to the Grey Ducks missing the playoffs for the first time in five years. After the season, word came down from New York that Falco would be getting the call up to play for the Silverbacks. He is tumultuous time in Minnesota had come to an end.

2057 ISFL Season (S42)

Blaine Falco had an up and down rookie season for the Silverbacks. The team was unable to get going offensively when the run game was not working, and the team struggled to win more than two games consecutively all year. There were some positives the rookie signal caller could take away. He was one of the best performing rookies in the league last year. He almost had a 2:1 TD to INT ratio as well. Unfortunately for New York, when the opposition focused on stopping the run Falco struggled to push the ball downfield. New York lost multiple games in either the last minute or coming up just short on the final drive. Heading into the offseason Falco has worked on getting stronger and upping his endurance as well. Falco was getting beat up and often exhausted by the end of games. He is hoping that with the copious amount of talent around him he can lead this team back to the playoffs in Season 42.
