Kyle Crane (born January 11, 2031) is an American football runningback for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Kyle Crane was born in Chicago, Illinois. Information on his parents is not known. He attended Lincoln Park High School, where he acheived a 3.8 GPA and got a 1390 on his SAT. He Ran track for the school, being the teams top runner in shorter distance competetions, like the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. For his academic and track feats, he was recruited by the University of Illinois, where he played from 2048 to 2050 for 2 seasons. After those two seasons, Crane joined the United States Armed Forces, where he served for 2 years until he was discharged. He then did mercenary work for 1 year before he was hired and trained by the Global Relief Effort. After being hired by the GRE, he became an operative in the calamity stricken city of Harran, where Crane helped out the locals and furthered the relief efforts inside the walls.

College career

Crane went into the University of Illinois without a scholarship for academics or athletics, despite his standout performance in each. He majored in Criminology and minored in health and physical education/fitness. He joined the local speed and agility club, where he began to learn about parkour, and increased his agility training above what he could have reached normally. Crane then went to walk-on day at the Memorial Stadium, with his newfound agility and high school speed netted him notoriety within the coaching circles. However, due to his lack of any team sport experience, Crane was initially told that the coaching staff "would call him if any positions opened up", meaning his football career was over before it began. 2 weeks passed until a Spartan Sprint Charity event was held at the University quad, where competed and beat out the other students and student athletes that competed. By chance, the RB coach for the Illni was in attendance, and was impressed enough to give crane a 4th slot on the RB Depth Chart. After a 5-7 Season, Crane was promoted to the 2 string RB after the top RB graduated and the 3 string stagnated in development. For his sophomore year Crane saw slight use, as a fifth WR and second option on triple option plays, until week 5 while facing #5 Michigan in Ann Arbor where the starting tore his MCL on a counter play. Crane came into the game with 5:56 left in the 3rd quarter down 34-10. Crane then netted a total of 230 all-purpose yards and 3 TD to lead Illinios to a 38-34 Win over #5 Michigan. Crane then proceeded to have 1000 all-purpose yards in his next 9 games, leading the University of Illinois to a 9-5 record from their 1-4 start.

Crane Listed as a draftee after the draft window closed, so he was sent to the waiver pool to be claimed by a team. With the second overall waiver claim, the Tijuana Luchadores selected Kyle Crane as their second rookie RB of the S41 class.

2055 Season (S40) - Tijuana Luchadores

Beginning the season, Kyle Crane was the third-string running back for the Tijuana Luchadores for the first 4 weeks of the season. During those first 4 weeks, he had 34 rushing yards averaging 2 yards a carry, and had 4 catches for 25 yards. Between week 4 and 5, Ezra Azazel changed from running back to cornerback, leaving the second running back slot to Kyle Crane. For the Last 10 Games, he rushed for 428 yards, averaging 4 yards a carry and 53.5 yards a game, and recording 4 touchdowns. He also caught 29 passes for 205 yards, one of those catches being for a touchdown. His best game of the season came in week 7 against the Kansas City Coyotes, where he had multiple single-game career highs; Crane rushed for 100 yards, with one run being 35 yards and the longest of his season; Crane caught for 48 yards, with one catch being 28 yards. Kyle Crane ended his season with 462 rushing yards, and 230 receiving yards, combining for a total of 692 all-purpose yards.

2056 Season (S41) - Tijuana Luchadores

After a disappointing end to a season 40 campaign, Crane spent all of his summer away from any press or football. Only at Tijuana OTA's did Crane make a comment regarding his absence, in which he stated "After that season was over, there was a kind of... pit, inside of me, eating away. We had a heartbreaking fall from grace and it was really tough for me, y'know. I just took this offseason to right the ship up there in my noggin', so it's time to get back to work". Crane Started as the second-string running back for the Luchadores in 2056. He added to his DSFL resume with 858 Rushing Yards throughout the regular season with an average of 4.6 yards per attempt. He had only 3 rushing touchdowns on the year, marking a low for him on point scoring. He made up the 1 touchdown deficit in rushing by adding a 1 touchdown surplus through the air. He had 2 receiving touchdowns on the year, along with 279 receiving yards, 23 catches, and an average of 7.7 yards a catch. Crane scored a touchdown in the DSFL South Conference Championship but was mostly absent from the playoffs, notching only 75 rushing yards in both games. Crane did win the Ultimus with the Tijuana Luchadores, capping off an incredible journey for Crane and the Luchadores.

ISFL career

Kyle Crane entered the S41 ISFL draft as one of the top 2 running back prospects, along with Malik Brooks. Both Crane and Brooks finished well ahead of the running back pack, finishing with scores of 78.4 and 76.5, respectively. With the sixth pick of the second round, the New Orleans Second Line took Kyle Crane as the 20th overall pick.
