Early years
Marty Crane was born in the Seattle portion of Miami where his love for football, justice, and jack russel terriers grew. As a high schooler / junior police officer Marty set school records in rushing yards, touchdowns, and citizen's arrests. Marty was briefly suspended during his Senior year after he was found drinking underage at a local establishmnet "Duke's". He still went on to win the rushing title and lead his team to the FL state title game where he scored five touchdowns and gave out 6 parking tickets. Shortly after his high school hosted "Marty Crane Day" where the football team held a fundraiser for terriers in need of adoption. Marty was offered scholarships to 16 of the top football schools in the nation before ultimately deciding to attend the University of Miami due to their top tier coaching staff, world class facilities, and their proximity to the Ballantine's Brewery.
College career
At the Univeristy of Miami, Marty began his career as the third string RB due to concerns about his size. These durability questions were quickly answered in the third game of his Freshman season when Marty filled in for Frank Juggs and Lamar Sockingsly who were both out with a stomach virus. Marty carried the ball 35 times for 312 yards and 6 TDs that game. He would not relinquish the starting role for the next three seaons leading the conference in yards on the ground, touch downs, and once again citizen's arrests. While Marty's onfield production was truly impressive, his stats in the classroom were less so forcing him to repeat several failed classes to maintain his student-athlete eligibility. Marty's bust sits in the Univeristy of Miami Hall of Fame honoring his tremendous speed, skill, and production at the school. It is believed that he will also be added to the school's Ring of Honor during his rookie season in the DSFL.
