Ray the Manta Ray (born October 21, 2027) was an American football linebacker for the Honolulu Hahalua and the New York Silverbacks. He played college football for San Jose State (SJS) and in the DSFL for the Bondi Beach Buccaneers.
Early years
Ray the Manta Ray was born in the Pacific Ocean as a Manta Ray as obvious as that seems. Living a typical manta ray life, they did not expect to one day go to the surface and actually have to play some football, not even knowing what football was, at a young age. But going to shore near Hawaii, listed as his birthplace, as he did not know any other registerable place, and that was his first point of contact, he quickly became an Honolulu Hahalua fan, a team that was located near him. With his unique looks, he was often mistaken as a person dressed up as a Manta Ray mascot, until eventually he decided to do that, and become the Hahalua official mascot. With the team in trouble, he was later asked to play for them, but before he could do that, first had to go to college and make sure that he was ready for this.
College career
As a freshman at San Jose State university, the only team that ended up offering him a scholarship, games were tough, and he was not able to recieve much playtime with the lack of expierence he had in the game. The coach in an effort to give more players play time and give Ray a chance, placed him on the offensive line, expecting that to be a good place for him to shine. But his true passion was at linebacker, and he finally got that chance after a few games at Offensive Line. With the LB3 out with an injury, he stepped in, and immediately was a precense on the defense, as a dangerous pass rusher that quarterbacks were afraid of. Finally he was able to graduate from there, and eventually was asked to come back to Honolulu to finally play. But before that transformation from mascot to player could be made, league rules dictated that he had to go through the DSFL, and then had to be drafted in the ISFL, but with his unqiue connection to the team, and it being surrounded by water, he was given the choice to be taken by their second rounder in the draft after their first DSFL season. He decided to accept all the conditions, and just like that, entered the DSFL Draft.
