Another season comes and goes and it is the same story for Alex and San Jose again. The team has a tough go across the season, finishing the season tied for last place in the league. Despite the team struggle, Alex again finishes as one of the best defensive linemen of the season. How ever there was some controversy with the league's Pro Bowl rosters for S44. When they initially came out Alex was left off the AFSC Pro Bowl team. Comparing players Alex finished top 3 in all the key stats: Tackles, TFLs, Forced Fumbles, Sacks, and even recorded a safety. With The San Jose GMs, Alex submitted a formal complaint to the Pro Bowl Committee. Upon inspection the committee determined the automatic selection program was faulty and had selected a few players illegitimately. The correct players, including Alex, were added into the Pro Bowl rosters. This marks Alex's 5th Pro Bowl selection, it leaves only 4 other defensive ends in league history to be selected to more pro bowls. | Another season comes and goes and it is the same story for Alex and San Jose again. + | S45 San Jose found to be frustrating. The team was competitively in the playoff hunt for most of the season. The team is still young, but the lack of playoff appearances weighs heavy on Alex's mind. As Alex approaches the peak seasons of his career, he begins to think about his legacy on the league. He knows his impact at San Jose is cemented. His accolades already surpass that of San Jose's first star defensive end D'Pez Poopsie. In fact only Exilizer might have more individual accolades in the history of San Jose's defense. His concern is if what he has accomplished good enough for Hall of Fame, even if he never wins an Ultimus. He has again made it to 1st Team AllPro, and to the Pro Bowl. Only Hall of Fame DEs Wozy and Blackstone have more Pro Bowl appearances. Having made 6 out of 6 Pro Bowls thus far, Alex now looks beyond just defensive ends, and sets his goals to being one of the most decorate Pro Bowlers in league history.

Early years
Alex is the youngest of several sisters, most notably his sister Olivier Mira Armstrong. Olivier joined the Amestrian State Military currently holding the rank of Major General. The Armstrong family is a wealthy aristocrats with strong lineage connection with the Armenian Military. Alex's child hood was filled with learning and perfecting many of the arts, abilities, techniques which "has been passed down the Armstrong family line for generations!" Despite the family background, and the high and demaning expecations thrust upon him by both the military and Olivier Alex has maintained a very open, welcoming, and emotional personality which catches many off guard considering Alex's muscular structure and loaming physic. Alex's most important Armstrong family technique is the combat ability to combine stone alchemy with physical punches. This ability helped Alex to be quickly promoted through the military ranks to Major and earnt he title of 'State Alchemist'. Alex is quick to help anyone in need.
Military career
Alex's only previous football experience is playing league military ball, especially at Central Headquarters. At headquarters there was multiple teams, one for each regiment. Alex was always requested to play due to his sheer size and strength, he often found himself on defense quickly pulverising offensive linemen and desimating running backs. With Armstrong as the focal point of the defense, Alex's teams often found themselves cruising through the competition and efficiently placing in the playoffs. Having enjoyed those times, and his military career almost over, Alex determined the International Simulation Football League would provide the best competition for him to prove his football abilities against. His goal is to develop his play style and add it to the illustirous list of skills to pass down the Armstrong family line for generations. Even without the use of alchemy many of his opponents feel like they have been crushed by pile of stone.

DSFL career
Despite Alex's limited football experience he was immediately scouted and picked up from waivers by the Development Simulation Football League team Kansas City Coyotes. Alex announced his intent to enter the S40 ISFL draft at the S38 trade deadline enabling Alex to be selected through waivers by a DSFL team to get some early playing time in during the remainder of season 38. KCC slotted Alex into their front 4 immediately with great success for the team and for Alex. The team started Alex in four regular season games. In those four games, Alex helped the Coyotes hold opponents to under 21 points. The team entered playoffs as heavy favorites to win the Ultimini. Which they successfully did. KCC defeated the Minnesota Grey Ducks 34 - 24, and then Norfolk 17 - 3. Alex winning a Ultimini before the S39 DSFL draft has made him a hot commodity around the league. Five of the eight DSFL teams sent scouts to the small combine Central Headquarters hosted in celebratory honor of Alex's Ultimini win. He awaited the draft with trepidation being unsure if he would return to KCC or be taken by another team.
Despite his limited football playing history, Alex believed he had demonstrated in his starts with Kansas City to be one of the best players available in the small draft class. Surprisingly he slipped all the way to the third round, where he was selected with the 17th pick by Kansas City. Alex was thrilled to be back with the Coyotes as he said in ISFL Today, "Absolutely I am thrilled. The only thing better than one Ultimini is the potential to be back-to-back champions and I don't want to do that with any other team." Kansas started the season with their offense mostly intact with additional attacking ability thanks to 1st round pick Jimmy Ryder. However, the defense was a different story and it seemed Alex would be the lone man for that side of the ball giving the team a bit of doubt about their ability to repeat as champions. This doubt grew with a nail biting week 2 31-30 defeat vs Portland and a week 3 loss to Minnesota. They hit a few more bumps along the way including losing 3 of their final 6 games, two of those losses were against Portland and Norfolk. Going into the final two weeks there were major concerns the team would be bumped out of the playoffs because of those losses. Fortunately, the football gods smiled on Kansas and the team sneaked past Portland in the rankings to make the playoffs. From there it was smooth sailing beating Minnesota by 10, and in the Ultimini beating Norfolk by 24. Kansas and Alex accomplished their goal of being back-to-back champions. Alex enjoyed a momentous sack rate accomplishing an average of 1 sack per game. He only had two games all season including playoffs he did not record a sack. He finished the season tied for 2nd most in the league. He has high expectations to be named AP First Team DE. He now looks toward the ISFL Draft. There are rumors circulating he will be picked first over all by Honolulu.

Professional career statistics
Alex had an immediate call up from the DSFL making S40 his rookie season. The first couple games his on field impact resulted in low stats and there was speculation by the media Alex wasn't living up to his first round draft potential. The doubts were quieted during the rest of the season as Alex started to wrack up sacks and tackles for loss. Although the team overall missed playoffs, that was to be expected. What's not expected was Alex Armstrong being voted to the Pro Bowl. When asked about the accolade Alex said, "Absolutely, any time a rookie performs better than even a major of league veterans at the same position is special. I'm really happy the league has noticed my performances. However that means I have to perform even better next season. I would love to be the best DE every season of my career."Career statistics | Defense
