Wynn Jenkins (born March 3, 2034) is an American football kicker for the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL) under contract from the Arizona Outlaws of the ISFL. He played college football for Arizona State (ASU) and was selected twelfth overall in the 2060 DSFL draft. Following a successful season in Bondi Beach, Jenkins was selected with pick twenty-four in the 2061 ISFL draft by the Arizona Outlaws.

Early years

Wynn Jenkins was born in Dwygyfylchi (Conwy, Wales) to humble parents. His father was Robert Jenkins who had an unsuccessful career in the Welsh Premier League. Hampered by injuries, Wynn's father was forced to retire from the game early.

Forever bitter, he had hoped his son would succeed where he couldn't and focused his efforts on bringing up and coaching his son. Wynn however, found football (soccer) boring, and gained an interest in American football -and as a result the ISFL- as an early teen. He quickly identified kicking and punting as a position he believed he could fulfill from building on the coaching he had recieved from his father throughout childhood.

Due to the lack of funds needed to make his dream a reality, Wynn is older than most college graduates due to taking up a full-time position at his local sporting goods store whilst training on rugby pitches late into the nights instead of moving straight to America.

All the hard work paid off for Wynn as he left Wales for the United States and studied at Arizona State University.

He maintains a good relationship with his parents.

College career

During college, Jenkins got minimal game time during his freshman year and struggled with the lifestyle changes and isolation of living in a new country.

At risk of being replaced, he showed his determination and commitment to the cause by hitting the weights and coming back the following year stronger both mentally and physically.

He spent the first half of his second year as the punter, which although still an underrated and very influential role on a football team, Wynn wanted to be the man in the moment; clutch time opportunist. He got his chance to prove himself by dropping consistent balls down inside the 20 forcing coaches to take note of Jenkins' accuracy along with his strength.

Wynn Jenkins became close friends with his college team holder, and closed out his education with great praise and expectations, for his personality and charisma in the locker room, but also for his almost trademark reliability on game-winning field goals throughout his final season.

DSFL career

Wynn Jenkins joined the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the 2060 DSFL draft, selected twelfth overall, in the first round.

Season 45

Jenkins made an immediate impact by settling into the locker room with ease, and performed from week one, ending his first game with 100% XP and FG completion rates. Though he wasn't without his rookie mistakes, as he faced difficulty in the second and third game of the season where Bondi Beach narrowly lost to Dallas and Portland by one and two points respectively, in games where Jenkins missed attempts that would later prove to be vitally damaging to their playoff chances.

However, he overcame the setback and throughout the year was an integral part of Bondi Beach Buccaneers' resulting winning season, with the team finishing 8-6 (0.571). He ended his first season with 97.1% XP completion, 77.8% FG completion, and with a long of 52 yards.

Wynn also had a successful punting season, kicking for 3762 total punting yards with a long of 62.

Season 46

Jenkins, drafted to the ISFL but staying down in the DSFL, had another strong season improving in both his kicking and punting. His extra point conversion percentage increased, again missing just one all season, in addition to his field-goal percentage increasing, specifically from 40+ yards.

It was a massively successful season for Wynn (even though Bondi missed the playoffs in a fight that went down to the final regular season game) and where he shined most was through his punting, even though he punted a sizeable 20 less times this season compared to the 2060 season.

Season 46 was the first record breaking season for Wynn, as he matched the current longest punt in DSFL history with a 66 yard... and set a franchise season record for Bondi Beach Buccaneers for the punt average with a 47.9 yard average; a statistic that also places him second overall in the DSFL for a season punt average.

His loyalty to his current team has been highlighted by both the organisation and the fans, and proven once more by his commitment to come back to Bondi Beach for at least one more season.

ISFL career

Wynn Jenkins was selected twenty-fourth overall, during the second round of the 2061 ISFL draft by the Arizona Outlaws. By mutual agreement, Jenkins was loaned back to Bondi Beach for the 2061 and 2062 seasons.
