Scorch von Turbo (born October 10, 2037) is an American football runningback who currently plays for the Cape Town Crash. He enjoys long walks on the beach, spoken word poetry, and talking trash about Honolulu's GM, Icebear.

Early years

Scorch is the son of famed explorers Margaery and Edgar von Turbo. They were attempting to become the first couple to cross the Antarctic continent on foot, but were forced to halt their navigation when Margaery became pregnant. She gave birth at a research base to the most vivacious baby they had ever seen. The child's exuberant personality was enough to keep them warm on cold arctic nights, so much so they decided to name him Scorch. He started running in an effort to train his body for extreme exploration, just like his parents. He is determined to finish the goal his parents started and run across the entirety of Antarctica. Football is merely a side hobby for him. He enjoys the sport more for the social aspect. With how often he travels the world, he does not often have the opportunity to establish close bonds with friends. The sport of football has provided this opportunity for him, and he greatly appreciates it.

College career

During his brief stint at university, Scorch von Turbo played Runningback for the Oxford Lancers. His speed, endurance, and overall prowess became quickly apparent as he led his team to both the Cavelier Cup and Varsity Bowl championships. During his freshman season, Scorch spent most of the time on the sidelines, as he was not familiar with the sport, and did not know even the most common of rules. But as with all things he sets his mind to, he presevered. Scorch spent every available opportunity studying the game, observing his peers, and training with the coaching staff. At the start of his sophomore season, Scorch was given a backup position as runningback. Though he did not receive many handoffs at first, it became quickly apparent that his potential was off the charts. His junior year, Scorch was granted the RB1 position. During his final season, Scorch ran the ball for 1891 yards and 22 touchdowns.

DSFL career

With the Round 2 Pick 15 selection in the Season 45 DSFL draft, Scorch von Turbo was drafted to the Portland Pythons to play alongside local legends such as Billy van Goff, Huck Indarts, and Xavier Buckley. This team, which was entering a substantial rebuild, did not expect to make any type of playoff run. This was a re-tooling and re-gearing year and most of the locker room understand that principle. However; Scorch was not so keen on giving up. He requested the coaching staff let him prove himself, and thus was granted an excessive amount of carries. Scorch von Turbo finished the season with 454 rushing attempts, nearly 200 more than any other player in the DSFL. This resulted in an accumulation of 1836 yards and 14 touchdowns. Due to this ground and pound, relentless style of football, the scrapple Portland team managed to fight their way into playoff contention. With a season record of 6-8, the found themselves battling for the North Conference. Unfortunately, their season came to an end during these playoffs, where they lost to the Kansas City Coyotes. Regardless, this season is widely considered to be a major success for the Python franchise. For being a "rebuilding" year, they managed to make a playoff run and prove to the world that they are more dangerous with their backs against the wall.

Season 46

With the 18th pick in the 2nd round of the Season 46 ISFL Draft, Scorch von Turbo was selected by the Cape Town Crash. This news came as a delight to Scorch, as he looked forward to learning under the tutelage of premier runningback and league stars, Nakiri Ayame and Leandre Diarra. Though Scorch would only rotate occasionally into the RB committee this season, he was also given the opportunity to flex into the tight end position. He was elated at the opportunity to play any ISFL minutes possible as a rookie.

Though this was a bit of a rebuild year for the Cape Town Crash, Scorch still accumulated some decent stats. He finished the season with 79 rushing attempts and 348 rushing yards, as well as 5 rushing touchdowns and 28 blocking pancakes. On top of that, he also added 53 receiving catches for 429 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. Unfortunately, the Crash ended their season with a record of 7-9 and did not make the ISFL playoffs.
