Raffaele Tommasi (born November 8, 2029) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Colorado State (CSU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Raffaele Tommasi was born in Venice in Italy to glass blowers Matilda Di Bartolo and Pietro Tommasi. He didn't have the same artistic talent as his parents and resented the idea of taking over the family business. Making touristy crap out of glass didn't appeal to him, he'd say, even if the Tommasi workshop was quite renowned in the region for making beautiful and unique sculptures. Thankfully for young Raffaele, because of the success of various italian players in the ISFL, football programs started appearing all over the country, including one in the neighbouring town of Padua. His parents signed him up and he quickly became his school's biggest star. Raffaele grew up a turbulent child and football helped him both in class and in his every day life, making him a respectable young man. Raffaele showed a lot of promise on the field, especially with his speed (OK, only with his speed). In addition, his newfound attitude was appreciated by all the adults he interacted with and he was offered a scholarship by the Colorado State University.

College career

It was evident when he began his career at CSU that Raffaele's speed would not longer be enough for him to cover the much more talented players he was put up against. Even though he was a hardworker, he didn't see much playtime in his first season in the United States. He improved somewhat during the season but his results were disappointing nonetheless. He would end up playing only two games and having less than stellar statistics. The following season, after working hard all offseason to bulk up, develop his speed some more, his endurance and strength, Raffaele showed what a game changer he could actually be. His coach didn't trust him at first against the best players on the other team but an injury to his teammate Bob Bobson made Raffaele the team's first cornerback. He delivered and soon enough, DSFL scouts were present at most of his games and some practices to evaluate him, wondering if he was the next big deal for their franchise. Tommasi does not enjoy the spotlight too much and likes to keep a low profile. This meant most so called football "experts" didn't see him as a top pick.

He played a few matches with the Dallas Birddogs after his second college year, watching them win the Ultimini Cup from the bench.
