Norman Smiley (born May 5, 2035) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks.He played college football for Yale and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Norman Smiley was born in Northampton, England in 2035 to a mom Silvia Smiley and dad Rodger Smiley. Shortly after he was born, however his mother passed away from a car accident leaving Rodger to raise him by himself. Norman show natural physical talent and talent in the knowledge field. Rodger put Norman in the books and to the gym where he garnished his first love of wrestling. In England Norman was at the top of his class and on the wreslting mat earned him a scolership from the United Sates at Yale university where he spent his Freshman year wreslting. A knee injury cutting his Freshman year short he began to enjoy the other things on camlus. Mainly his studies. But, while there found a new facianaton american football. Suddenly he was wrapped up in the style of the game and physicallity of it all. He soon walked on his sophmore year.

College career

Though he never started a game Norman did see some playing time his walk on year. Finishing with 23 tackles and 1 interception, which he returned for a touchdown. This was the antithesis of his TD dance the "Big Wiggle" Rarely seen but popular with fans and teammates whenever Norman scored the dance followed (and the 15 yard penalty). Junior year Norman got into the starting lineup and flourished at the linebacker position with 60 solo tackles, 6 for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries and a whopping 7 interceptions. 3 of which were returned for touchdowns. Yale finish 3rd in the Ivy League that year with Norman Being the best linebacker in the conference. His senior year he improved In what many said he couldn't, with 79 solo tackles, 17 for loss, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and recoveries 10 interceptions, second in the nation, a 4 returned for touchdowns. This got Norman the DPOTY honors in the Iyy League and got the Bulldogs another Ivy League title.

Professional career

Minnesota Grey Ducks

Norman was unable to enter the s42 draft do to some conflicts back home. But was able to come into the DSFL mid-year. Norman was picked up mid-season by the Minnesota Grey Ducks. After a rough start to his career in his first game not making the stat sheet whatsoever. But as the next weeks progressed Norman came into his own in the LB core for the Grey Ducks. He found a lot of comraderies in the locker room learning from players like King Dedede and his rookie teammate Paul Dosza. In his second game being nominated by his team for the DPOTW having multiple tackles and a game sealing sack. Norman continued his solid appearances in Minnesota helping the Grey Ducks win their division and make it to the championship game. Norman had a excellent game for the Grey Ducks getting 7 tackles a sack and a forced fumble. Though the Grey Ducks came up short, Norman showed great skill and leadership in the game that was recognized by his peers.

In his Second Full season in Minnesota, Norman Had a career defining year in tackles. 127 total tackles for the Big Wiggle. This is a Team record for the long history of Minnesota with Norman's Name going to be in the record book for a long time. With 12 sacks on top of that. Only 1 INT for the season since he was bringing down players instead of taking the ball away. Minnesota did unfortunately have a setback year finishing 4-10. But through it all Norman shined through with multiple DPOTW honors and they Only Blocked Punt for the season. Norman was even nominated for a DPOTY and DSFL POTY for his play on the field. He is expected to not be back with the Grey Ducks Next year with a call up looming. Norman was drafted by Chicago butchers in the second round Of the ISFL draft. Ready to make an impact for them? In the next season, Norman is working harder than ever to be quicker and faster than ever. For when he gets called up by the butchers. He wants to make sure that he will be a name that everyone in the league will know as soon as possible.
