Nicholas Gilbert (born May 16, 2036) is an American football linebacker for the London Royals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada, Nicholas Gilbert discovered football at a young age. Originally playing it as a way to kill time between hockey seasons, he quickly fell in love with the sport and committed to becoming the best player he could be. He played all 4 years of high school, where he was top 50 in Canada for all high school players. When Gilbert first started playing, he was a tight end, quickly realizing that he would much rather be the one hitting rather than the one being hit, he asked his coach if he could try playing on the defensive side fo the ball. In his first game as a linebacker, Gilbert recorded 3 tackles (1 for loss, as a sack) and an interception. He would go on to win one championship during his high school playing days, completeing a perfect 10-0 season hoisting the trophy as the schools first championship in 15 years.

College career

"In 2054, Gilbert committed to the University of Notre Dame. He claimed that the history and culture of ND is why he made that choice. Majoring in Marketing at Notre Dame was a no-brainer for Gilbert, as his innate ability to strategize and analyze game footage naturally translated to devising groundbreaking strategies against his university opponents. In between intense practices and weightlifting sessions, Gilbert would immerse himself in consumer behavior studies, to better understand not only his opponents, but his teammates, coaches and himself.

As a linebacker, Jake's success on the field was nothing short of legendary. He was often compared to gridiron greats like Lawrence Taylor and Ray Lewis, thanks to his uncanny ability to anticipate plays, shatter offensive lines, and leave opposing players wondering if they had just encountered a human freight train. With a successful college career at Notre Dame under his belt, Nicholas Gilberts journey was far from over as he declared his intention to play in the ISFL"
