Maxwell Jacob Friedman (born March 15, 2030) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Hartwick College and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Maxwell Jacob Friedman was born in Plainview, New York and lived in the suburbs in his early years. He grew up a little spoiled and became a brat in his early life, always annoying the people around him. In high school he joined the football team and it was the first time he really felt at home. It gave him friends and it made him feel special. He was named an honorable mention on the county level for his performance at Linebacker and his great play allowed him to get a scholarship for a college to continue playing football. In that same time, his love for wrestling started and he started training to be a wrestler at the same time as playing football, to pursue his dream to follow in the footsteps of his hero, CM Punk. Ultimately though, he decided to pursue football more strongly than wrestling since CM Punk vanished from wrestling, which lead him to college.

College career

Attending Hartwick College was an interesting decision for MJF. He had a lot of offers but wanted to stay fairly close to home to be close to his family. He had a lot of dreams but at the same time, going to a small, not well known college like Hartwick, allowed him to be a starter and even a star on their team. He studied Finance and wanted to just make some money once he was done with college, if the football dream just didn't work out for him. He was very popular in college and began his successful career there, buying his first Burberry scarf in college, something that would become his style and sign that people would recognize him by. He played well in all of his years at Linebacker, growing stronger and faster as the years in college went on, by the end being a big star for his team and in line to join the DSFL to pursue professional football as a goal for himself.

DSFL career

Maxwell was taken on by the Portland Pythons in the DSFL for one season, where he became an immediate starter in the linebacker position and an immediate star. MJF ended the season with a beautiful round number of 100 tackles, which was the third best in the entire league, as a rookie. 14 tackles for loss was tied for 2nd in the league and his 6 forced fumbles were even leading the entire league. All of that as a rookie was very impressive, which also earned him the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in the DSFL. Maxwell shined in his lone season in the DSFL but he was destined for much more and so his path to the ISFL continued with the ISFL Draft, where he was taken tenth overall to the Honolulu Hahalua. Many experts expected him to go even higher after his stellar season, but he ended up in a great position to immediately shine on his new ISFL team and get immediately called up to play from day one.

ISFL career

As strong as his DSFL career started and ended, with winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in the DSFL, his ISFL career might have followed on an even stronger suit. His strongest attribute was being able to get into the backfield. His 16 tackles for loss lead the entire league and that as a rookie! Additionally he added 7 sacks to that as well and seems like the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award in the ISFL as well. Sadly, the Honolulu Hahalua were still struggling, winning only 3 games this season. Still that was already a small improvement over the 0-16 season the year before. Maxwell already helped the team win a little bit. His two turnovers (1 interception and 1 forced fumble) were on the lower end for Linebackers but hopefully that can improve with time as well. Going into his second season, there is already an expectation on the Hahalua to improve further.

After a strong rookie season, Maxwell wanted to follow up with a great sophomore season, but sadly things started out much more slowly for him. Still, after a slow start, he ended up with another solid year at least for him. He had 91 tackles, 10 of which were for a loss, along with 8 sacks. A good highlight was also his three forced fumbles and his 8 Pass Deflections. All in all, his sophomore year was less impressive than his rookie year but he did enough to continue on a good path and hopefully he can do better in the future. His team, the Honolulu Hahalua, did much better already after the 0-16 season the year before and are currently on a good path through the rebuild, a rebuild that Maxwell Jacob Friedman most certainly is a big part of and can help the team win in the future. He will go into his third season much stronger already.

After a slightly disappointing Sophomore season, Maxwell returned stronger than ever back to a Honolulu team that suddenly found themselves with a massive jump upwards. Starting the season on an insane winning streak that saw them tying their last three season's worth of wins in this season alone. Maxwell himself also bounced back and ended the season with over 100 tackles again, as well as reaching 10 Tackles for Loss, which for a long time had looked like it wouldn't happen in this season, but a strong end got him to that mark again. Sadly he ended up one sack short of ten sacks. The team ended up in first place of the conference and sending Maxwell Jacob Friedman to the playoffs for the first time in his ISFL career. Sadly there Honolulu came to a quick end but still it shows the team progress and also the progress of MJF himself. He is already becoming a bit of a leader on the team as well.

Another season where Honolulu ended up being a playoff team, despite a very competitive conference, at 10-6. MJF was a big part of the season's success, despite having a definitive down year after how his first three season went. A big reason for this were big trades the team made to acquire other defenders, who ended up taking some of the opportunities away from Maxwell. Despite that, he ended up with 94 tackles and some crucial turnovers to help his team in clutch moments. His tackles for loss were a disappointment, where he only had four this year after starting his career on a strong path to break the all-time Honolulu record in this statistic. In the playoffs, Honolulu did manage to win one game but then sadly lost the semi finals after that to end the season. Maxwell is still only getting stronger so hopefully he can continue to provide big stats for the team in the future.

S43 is the season it all finally clicked for Maxwell Jacob Friedman. With 141 tackles, he not only lead the league in that season but he also broke the record for most tackles in a season for the Honolulu Hahalua. With 11 tackles for loss and 16 sacks, he also provided the much needed boost on defense in crucial situations. A monster season by the Linebacker who took the step from a solid defender to one of the best in the league seemingly overnight, Friedman was the clear leader of the Honolulu defense. His season for the ages, which arguably should have him at least in the discussion for Defender of the Year, somehow was not rewarded with a Pro Bowl nod, a further chip on the shoulder as extra motivation for the seasons to come for MJF. The Hahalua barely make the playoffs in a season plagued with struggles, but don't manage to get a win there, but the team is still set up for success.

Another excellent season awaited for Maxwell, who had become somewhat a star by this point and was leading the defense to yet another fantastic season and another playoff appearance. His stats weren't quite as dominant anymore in this season, but he still did extremely well and helped the team win games. Never was that help more palpable than in the playoffs, where Maxwell helped the team out incredible. The most crucial moment came towards the end of a tied game in the semi finals, where MJF had a sack and a forced fumble and fumble recovery with 13 seconds to go to set up a Ray Baker field goal to send the Hahalua to the Ultimus game. And in the Ultimus game, Maxwell made the dream of a Hahalua championship true by helping the team in an offensive battle. The first title for MJF since becoming AEW World Heavyweight Champion one could say. But his prime was still going!

This trend of having great, but not quite the best season in the league continued on, as Maxwell had another stellar season at Linebacker but there were again a couple other linebackers in the league that were just going a bit better. He impressed especially with his ability to cause turnovers, leading to 6 Forced Fumbles and 4 Fumble Recoveries (a league best 10 FF+FR). The Hahalua got the 1 seed yet again but this time around, luck was not on their side and they got bounced out of the playoffs sadly. Friedman likely won't win an award again and likely isn't making the all-star team again, but his career stats have taken another step forward and by next season he can be expected to be very high on some all-time lists, especially for the team records of the Hahalua. But will he finally be able to take a step forward and get an award next season?

This next season ended up very different for Honolulu as they completely started a rebuild and traded away pretty much everyone except for MJF. But that really ended up being alright for Maxwell, as he loves being the star of the team and also loves to put the team on his back and being the only guy worth anything. It really fits the persona. Maxwell ended up with a very good amount of stats this season too, showing that really his teammates just took away some of his opportunities before this and now that he was alone, he could really shine and let the best parts of him come out. Obviously it still didn't really help and Honolulu was a terrible team but Maxwell continues to improve and have great seasons and maybe one day we will see him end up in the Hall of Fame just due to the nature of his game.
