Maximus Boudreaux (born February 21, 2035) is an American football quarterback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Lousiana Tech and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Maximus Boudreaux was born in the tiny town of Catahoula, Lousiana to Louis and Yvette Boudreaux. Louis and Yvette were both paranoid and suspicious of pretty much anything modern, so Maximus was homeschooled and spent most of his time helping his father with the family fishing business. Fortunately, Yvette did believe in education so Max learned to read pretty well and basic math so he wasn't a completely uneducated bumpkin.Max's father died in an unfortunate fishing accident when Max was 8 and his mother died shortly thereafter of a broken heart and too much Boudin. Max was sent to live with his Aunt in nearby Breaux Bridge, where he had a rough time assimilating with modern society after being raised in primitive poverty. Max did finally settle in to his new life. In an effort to fit in, Max tried out for the football team. With his very strong cajun accent, his teammates had a hard time understanding him, and so the coaches thought Max wasn't very good and he spent his high school football career playing backup quarterback.

College career

While Max's high school football career was anything but impressive, he was a reasonably good student, and his Aunt was a huge Lousiana Tech alumni, so he enrolled there to continue his college education. Max didn't play any sports his freshman year, preferring to keep in shape on his own. His sophomore year, Max was introduced to some of the football team while working out in the weight room, and they encouraged him to try out for the football team. Max did, and was good enough to make the team, although he was again the backup quarter back. Max continued his unimpressive football career as a junior by again sitting on the bench, but he was good enough that the coaches offered him a scholarship so that was nice. His senior year he was named the starter after the highly touted QB recruit tore his ACL during the offseason. Max was good enough to lead the team to a 10-6 record and a win in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl over Georgia Southern. His coaches thought he might have a shot in the pros as a backup so Maximus declared for the draft shortly thereafter.

Season 42 Maximus was taken by the Norfolk Seawolves with the 10 overall pick of the DSFL draft. The Seawolves were coming off of a 5-9 season in which they missed the playoffs, but they had a pretty stacked roster and Max was excited to see what the team could do with a fresh infusion of draft prospects. The Seawolves made handy work of their competition, going 11-3 in the regular season to finish the top seed in the DSFL South. Maximus had some trouble with interceptions early on, but once he settled down a bit, it was smooth sailing. Also the team added a running back from waivers early, allowing a more balanced offense which took some pressure of the rookie QB. The Seawolves started their playoff run with a dominate performance over the Tijuana Luchadores, a team they split their regular season games with. They went on to a comeback win over the Minnesota Grey Ducks in a comeback victory where the Maximus was the offensive player of the game with 3 TDs and 143.6 QB rating.

Season 43 Coming down off of the high that is winning the Championship in your first season as a rookie QB, Maximus Boudreaux and the rest of the Norfolk Seawolves had high expectations coming into S43 of another shot at a ring. Unfortunately, the 'Wolves lost a lot of their best players to call ups to stinky ISFL teams and a few retirements and age outs. After finishing at the top of their conference the previous season, the Seawolves finished at the bottom of the pack with a dismal 6-8 record. They struggled on both sides of the ball. As for Maximus, after having a great first season, he regressed quite a bit in his second. He had a markedly worse passer rating, threw almost 10 fewer touchdowns, and simply did not perform very well. He did throw fewer interceptions but that wasn't good enough to propel the Seawolves anywhere really. Max is really working on his game during the offseason in hopes of finding that spark again for what is likely his final season in the DSFL.

Season 44 Leading up to his last season in the DSFL, Maximus Boudreaux and the rest of the Norfolk Seawolves were optimistic about where the season would take them. With many returning starters on defense and offense, the team should have been primed to make a nice run for their second ring in 2 seasons. Unfortunately things unraveled very quick. Quite frankly, Max stunk. He had the worst season of his short career, posting a dismal 76.8 QB rating, one of the worst in the league, as well as career lows in almost every other stat as well. The offense especially just never clicked, and only scored 232 points the entire season, which was only better than the London Royals. The Seawolves were never really in the playoff conversation, either, and finished 4 games behind the Dallas Birddogs for 3rd place in the DSFL South. At this point, Max is ready to leave the whole thing behind him and hope his luck doesn't follow him to the ISFL next season.

Season 45 In his first season in the ISFL, Maximus Boudreaux knew that it would be an uphill struggle. With the Wraiths rebuilding, winning games would be a challenge even for a veteran quarterback, much less a rookie. Nonetheless, Max was determined to give it his all. On a personal level, Max had a decent season, better than many rookies. He had career bests in pretty much every statistical category and was squarely in the middle of the pack compared to QBs across the league. Unforunately, the Yellowknife Wraiths struggled mightily on the field, and ended the season with a 4-12 record, worst in the league. The first overall pick was a poor consolation prize for such a disappointing season. However, there is a lot to look forward to. The Wraiths are a young team with plenty of growing left to do. The defense especially has plenty of room to grow, which is good because it was the teams weak point. As far as Max goes, he is ready to get back onto the field and get a new season started. There is still a lot of football left to play for Max, and he is certainly ready to show the league what he is made of.

Season 46 The previous season the Wraiths were the worst in the league, finishing with a dismal 4-12 record. the Wraiths’ players were expecting a tough season of with hopes to contend over the few next seasons, maybe as the team was still very young. However, the Wraiths surprised, well, everyone, and came hot out of the gate with 3 wins in 4 games to start the season. Even Max was doing pretty well, not a lot of yardage but he was very efficient compared to the previous season. The Wraiths fell a bit down the stretch, but managed to grind out an 8-8 record, which in the relatively weak NSFC, was just enough to place them wild card spot. Max and the team were ecstatic just to be there, but stayed focused and managed to slay both the Sailfish and the Hawks in their own stadiums. Max was pretty much having the same season as the previous one, statistically, but hoped that would be enough to eek them out a win over the Arizona Outlaws, again in the opponent's home stadium. Alas, the Wraiths' Cinderella run came to an end with a 14-6 defeat by the Outlaws. The good news is, the Wraiths are still a very young team, and they have plenty of time to compete for a ring over the next few seasons. Max and the rest of Yellowknife will be back!
