Matthew Fryars (born March 8, 2032) is an American football safety. He currently plays for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL) as their second-year Free safety, and was drafted to the Honolulu Hahalua of the National Simulation Football League (ISFL) in 2054, but has yet to see the field with the Hahalua.

Early Years

Matthew Fryars was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 8th, 2032 to Savannah and Philip Fryars. In his youth he grew up in a struggling environment, but he had a strong passion and love for football at a young age. With his family's struggling situation they could not afford to pay for any sports, so as soon as he could Matthew got a job in order to pay for football. He worked as hard as he could to improve his football skills so that he could strive to make it to the pros. He started attending Ridgewood High School, however, in his first three years they were unable to get past the first round of the playoffs, had they made it. But Mathew was determined to get to the State Championship game, unfortunately they would fall a game short, and would go home empty handed. But this only fueled his desire going into college, he swore that he would make the best of his time in college to pave his road to the pros.

College Career

Matthew decided to attend a local college, Chattahoochee Technical College, but since it was not a sports school, Matthew was easily able to make the team his Freshman year as a backup to the team's Senior Safety. After settling into college life he began working on improving his play on the field. In his freshman year the team struggled and finished the season with only four wins. However, his sophomore year they improved, winning eight games, and Fryars was able to celebrate getting his first collegiate interception. Going into his Junior year he worked harder to improve his game as much as possible, and it paid off, leading the team to their first playoff win and all the way to the Conference Championship, where Fryars took home the game winning pick six on the last play of the game. After the Conference Championship victory, Matthew was determined to go back, but his determination would be cut short after a few games into his Senior year he would sustain a season ending injury, which would end up causing him to miss out on the DSFL Draft.

DSFL Career

2054 - Rookie Season In his first year, Fryars was claimed off of Waivers by the Kansas City Coyotes for $8,000,000/year, after missing the DSFL Draft. Fryars struggled to get accustomed to the DSFL and did not settle in well. However, he did play hard and worked hard to make some plays throughout the season. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to make many big plays and finished the season without an interception, but surpassingly had 3 sacks, and a forced fumble/recovery. In the offseason, he worked extra hard in hopes of improving to have a great second season and move up to the ISFL for good.

2055 - Year 2 Although he worked harder, Season 40 turned out to be very disappointing, with the Coyotes went 4-10 after having won the Alumni just last year, and Matthew having an underwhelming season. He only had 35 tackles, one less than his rookie year, with only a single sack. However, he was able to get his first career interception, plus another one, but that wasn't enough in his eyes. He knew he was going to need to put in a lot more work and improve himself. As the playoffs began, Fryars was left sitting at home watching tape, and he wondered if he was going to be with the Coyotes for another year. He was happy to hear he had been voted into the DSFL Pro Bowl as the second Safety in the North Conference with all eight votes, and he hoped to ride it as motivation to have an even better season the following year.
