Jeeeeroy Lenkins (born September 29 2019) was an American football Cornerback. He played college football for Bowling Green University.

Early years

Jeeeeroy Lenkins is a proud Niddron, born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. Son of a drug dealer, Jeeeeroy spent some of his early-life in foster care. Jeeeeroy had a rough upbringing and got in with the wrong crowd. He spent a lot of his pre-teen years stealing cars with his friends and burning them up the Jack Kane Centre.

He "attended" Craigmillar High School where he excelled in woodwork, track and football (the UK version), he was also a lover of the game bowls as he found it relaxing. During his high school football career Jeeeeroy was known as a hard tackling centre midfielder with tons of energy, he had a knack for disrupting the oppositions attack.

Jeeeeroy left school at the age of 15 and had plenty of run-ins with the police as he was a young member of the the Young Niddrie Team (YNT).The YNT is a group of bams (hoodlums) who cause trouble in the local area. After getting lifted by the police for loitering with intent, as well as battery and theft Jeeeeroy was sent to Welly Farm for a year for the crimes he committed, as he was under the age of 16 he could not be charged. This is where Jeeeeroy's life turned around as he was introduced to football in the detention centre where they were hoping the program would instill some discipline within the degenerates from different schemes around Edinburgh. The program itself had an arrangement with multiple different US universities that would allow the young adults (of a certain criteria) attend their university for a semester, depending how that went they could obtain a full scholarship.

Lenkins was given the choice of multiple colleges/universities to attend and ultimately chose Bowling Green University.

College career

Use to attending a small school and having never left Edinburgh Lenkins really struggled to adapt to his new life. Lenkins however was determined to make the most of his opportunity. Having been brought in via a suppport program Lenkins was not eligible to compete in sports in his first year.

After excelling in class Bowling Green University granted Lenkins a scholarship and he was allowed to start taking part in sports. Lenkins attended the Bowling Green open date and dominated in the slot forcing a couple fumbles. This may not normally be a big deal in an open day but these fumbles were from the teams leading rusher who had not fumbled at all the previous season. After this performance Lenkins managed to get himself a spot on the team but was red-shirted for the year.

In his third season at Bowling Green Lenkins was finally given the nod as the teams slot corner and punt return man.

In his first start of the season Lenkins made 6 tackles and returned 4 punts for an average of 30 yards. Throughout the season Lenkins was consistent having no game where he made less than 5 tackles. He finished the season with 2 punts returned for a touchdown, 60 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 1 interception through 12 games.
