James Linch (born September 28, 2039) is an American football runningback for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

James Linch was born in Tallahasee, Florida. His mother was an avid painter, who taught classes on the side. His father worked for the State of Florida. Growing up a big football fan, especially of Florida State, his parents took him to every game, both home and away. His love of the game grew as he got older and learned more. He quickly became familiar with both offensive and defensive schemes and playcalling, drawing up his own plays, even using some in pick up games. His high school coaches took notice and even ultiized his plays in his high school games. He started as a quarterback in high school, breaking the record for total rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, including a late game winning 68 yard rush touchdown in the state championship his senior year. He finished strong after missing the first 4 games his senior year after offseason ankle surgery to repair a ruptured achilles tendon.

College career

Follwing his strong senior year, Linch became a 5 star recruit, the number one recruit in the country. He had many offers, but ultimately chose Florida State, his dream school, who offered him late. However, the agreement was for him to move to running back, since Florida State did not have a need at quarterback, and wanted to utilize his speed and athletic ability. He hit the ground running his freshman year, racking up over 800 yards and 9 touchdowns, despite only playing in 7 games. However, his sophomore year, he exploded for 1400 total yards and 23 total touchdowns, playing in 10 games. He kept getting better his junior year, playing in all 16 games and winning the national championship, while racking up an incredible 2600 total yards and 37 touchdowns. His senior year did not go as planned as he tore his ACL in the first game, causing him to slide down draft boards and ultimately be an UDFA.
