Frumious Bandersnatch (born June 12, 2036) is an American football tight end who is currently playing for the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. His ISFL rights belong to the Orange County Otters. He played college football for the University of West Florida Argonauts in NCAA Division II.
Early years
Frumious James Bandersnatch is the son of Lewis and Carol Bandersnatch. He was born on the island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. There was no real youth football to speak of on St. Croix, so Frumious grew up playing basketball and idolizing St. Croix's most famous native son, San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan. Frumious didn't begin playing organized football until age 16, after his family moved to the Pensacola, Florida area. Already 6'3" and 200 lbs., he planned to play basketball for Gulf Breeze High School, but the head football coach persuaded him to try playing football for the Dolphins as well. Although his technique was raw, Frumious' natural athleticism served him well and he proved to be a quick learner. He was a ferocious pass rusher at defensive end and recorded 10 sacks his senior year. On offense he played tight end, using his broad shoulders and basketball experience to become a chain-moving catch-in-traffic specialist.
College career
Frumious Bandersnatch played just two years of high school football and was listed as a two-star recruit coming out of Gulf Breeze. With no particular plans, he stayed local and enrolled at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, where he joined the football team as a walk-on. With offense affording him more playing opportunities for the Argonauts, Frumious focused on the tight end position. With dedicated coaching, he improved dramatically as a blocking tight end, and continued to excel as a sure-handed chain-mover and red zone target. He had grown to 6'5" and bulked up to 255 lbs. by his senior season, and word began to spread about his professional prospects. If you can play, the scouts will find you, and DSFL and ISFL scouts started to monitor Frumious' progress. The scouting consensus was that he was a fringe professional prospect in his current form, but possessed tremendous undeveloped potential that could be unlocked with the right coaching. Frumious graduated from West Florida with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and a minor in International Studies. Encouraged by feedback he received from coaches and scouts, Frumious Bandersnatch announced his intent to play professional football and declared for the 2058 DSFL draft.
