Davriel Lavigne (born March 26, 2017) is an American football Safety who is currently playing for the Portland Pythons and is user Raven's current player. He played college football for Colorado State University and declared his intention to enter the professional ranks in 2039. He was seleceted first overall by the Portland Phytons in the 2039 DSFL draft and would be taken 21st overall by the Honolulu Hahalua in the 2040 NSFL draft.

Early years

Davriel Lavigne was born in Miragoane, Haiti to his mother Caroline Lavigne and his father Samuel Lavigne. Caroline was a volunteer for the red cross in Haiti where she met Samuel, who worked as a pastor in Mirgoane. They married and had Davriel and three younger siblings. When Davriel was 8 year olds, his family moved to Monroe, Louisiana. Growing up in a foreign country his parents decided to integrate him into the american style as quickly as posible. They decded to sign him up for american football. He started out as a wide receiver, before moving to safety after his coach tried him out at the position a couple of times. After middle school Lavigne would end up attending Neville High School and became the starting Free Safety of the team. Early on scouts noted his excellent play as a safety and saw potential in him to become a NSFL level safety.

College career

Davriel Lavigne would receive a ton of athlete scholarschips for school all over the country. After visiting programs like, LSU, Alabama and Penn State, Lavigne ended up choosing to play for the Colorado State University Rams and would attend Colorado State University.

Freshman Season

Coming into his Freshman college year, Lavigne practised along with the football team. As a touted prospect expectations were high. However a few training sessions in it became clear that Lavigne was not yet ready to partake in the college level games that were being played and was redshirted. Lavigne would keep on practising with the squad, but being redshirted had gotten Lavigne a bit unmotivated. While expecting to have to fight for his place on the team, he had also expected to be able to make it in his freshman year. Tragity struck upon Lavigne in February of his freshman year when during practise he tore his acl and was out for 7 months with this injury. During this time Lavigne realised that he only has one chance to prove himself and make a living out of what he loves doing and decided that once his injury was over he would get back to bringing 100% to his football practise in hopes of one day making the NSFL.

Sophomore Season

Lavigne missed out on the first half of the season with his injury, slowly recovering and getting back into the training regime. Week 7 marked Lavignes debut into college football as a starter and would instantly make an impact. In his first game he would record 9 tackles, 3 defelected passes an interception and leaving quite a mark in this game. The Rams would end up winning the game 35-13 over Fresno state.

Finishing the season 7-5, means they failed to make a bowl appearance, but Lavigne was determined to come back the following season and become a stalwart on the defense for the Rams.

Junior Season

In Lavigne's first ever full season for the Rams, his preasence was known amongst the league. With 83 tackles, 5 sacks for 22 yards, 11 pass defelections and 4 interceptions for 30 yards. The Rams would end up going 10-2 and would play in the Egg Man Memorial Bowl game against Air Foce. Winning the game in a nail biter 28-26 game, Lavigne would record 5 tackle, a sack and a pass deflection.

Senior Season

Half way through his senior season, Lavigne announced his intentions to join the DSFL off waivers and with that forging his path to the NSFL draft and the NSFL itself. The Rams has a 6-0 record at this point in time and Davriel promised a bowl win and a national championship. Colorado would continue to reach a 11-1 record and finished 3rd in the top 25 list. They placed for The Corn Incident of 2021 memorial game against Clemson. The Rams would go down early, before a massive comeback victory. Winning with a 42-30 win after being down 14-20 at half time. This win would put them into the 2nd place ranking and with that a national championship game against LSU. Despite a 8 tackle, 2 sack, 1 interception game the Rams would see themself lose the game 27-34.

Professional career/DSFL

S23

Lavigne declared himself eligible for the 2039 DSFL draft after the week 13 draft deadline of the 2038 season. He would be picked up on waivers by the Portland Pythons a day later and play for the organiszation until the end of the season. In a stretch of 4 games with the organisation, Davriel was able to record 14 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception and 1 pass deflection. Joining the 4-6 Portland Pythons, Davriel would be a part of 1 win and 3 losses with the Portland Pythons ended on a 5-9 record.

In his first ever game in the DSFL Lavigne would tally 5 tackles in a 23-34 lose against the Norfolk Seawolves in Norfolk.

Highlight game for Davriel was in the week 13 28-17 Pythons lose against the Royals. Lavigne would record 3 tackles, while sacking quarterback Colby Jack at the end of the second period for 9 yards. The first pass by Colby Jack in the third quarter would be picked off by Lavigne for a return of -1 yards.

After his time with the Pythons Davriel would thank the organisation for housing him during his time with them. Lavigne was allowed to continue training with the team until the DSFL draft.

Lavigne has gone on record and has stated that he would play for any team and is looking very much forward to becoming a part of their organisation and culture. He hopes to become an award winning canidate in the DSFL and will continue to practise his hardest for this dream to becoem a reality.

S24

After a short waiver pickup stint with the Portland Pythons Davriel Lavigne would head into the 2039 DSFL draft as one of the most highly touted prospects of his class. It would not take long draft evening for Lavigne to find out which team he would be playing his DSFL career for. With the first overall pick in the 2039 DSFL Draft he was picked up by his formed team the Portland Pythons. Davriel would quickly sign his rookie contract with the Pythons and be named as one of the captains for the season. The S24 season would be a rocky one for the Pythons as they finished with a 6-8 record after starting 2-4. Despite a sub 500 record they would make it to the DSFL conference playoffs where the London Royals proved to be too hard of a match for them. Lavigne would have a solid year racking up 4 deflected passes, 2 sacks and 2 interception, aswell as 63 tackles on the year. Week 2 was a huge week for Lavigne as he recorded 5 tackles, 2 defelected passes and intercepted a pass early in the game. The Pythons would end up winning that game with a scoreline of 23-10. In week 11 against the Coyotes Lavigne also picked up his 2 sacks on the year in a 34-16 loss.

After the season was over it was time for Lavigne to focus on the upcoming NSFL draft. Early draft report linked him to Honolulu with their earliest second round pick. Despite a drop in draft positions between NSFL and DSFL. Davriel let his fans know that would not bother him and he would continue his training to reach his maximal potential out on the field.

Professional career/NSFL

S25

Lavigne would be selected by the Honolulu Hahalua with the 21th overall pick. Early reports lead to believe Lavigne would be sent back down to Portland to complete another season in the DSFL, but after some turbulent changes in Honolulu a safety spot opened up and Lavigne was slotted in to fill out that spot. Lavigne would join the Hahalua for their preseason campaign in preperation for the regular season. A 2-2 record in preseason is just an arbritary number, because it's just preseason. However this year it seems that record might have been a forecast of the season.

Lavigne made his ISFL debut in week 1 against the Austin Copperheads. He would record 4 tackles in a 35-23 loss in Austin. In a week 3 loss against the Baltimore Hawks Lavigne would record a career high 4 pass deflections. In week 5 Lavigne recorded a career game with 7 hits, 2 deflected passes a career high 2 interceptions and a pick-six. Week 13 would see Lavigne record his career high amount of tackles by recorded 11 tackles against the New York Silverbacks.

In his rookie season he recorded 101 tackles together with 3 interceptions, 11 deflected passes and a defensive touchdown. The Hahalua would miss out on ISFL playoffs with a 8-8 record, matching their record from the previous season. In an interview Lavigne spoke about the season and his team. He mentions how the future is looking bright for the Hahalua, they are a young team who keep improving and having matched 8-8 record two season in a row, a breakout season is inevitable.

S26

In his sophomore season in the major league Lavigne looked to help the Hahalua continue their path to reaching the playoffs. Despite continuing with his training and enjoying a growth in his play. Lavigne recorded a very similar season to the one he experienced a season earlier. He recorded the same number of tackles as the year previous with 101 tackles and 1 tackles for a loss. He recorded a sack and forced and recovered a fumble. His coverage stats were slightly worse with 1 interception and 9 pass deflections compared to the 3 and 11 he recorded the previous year.

In spite of the Hahalau's .500 recorded the previous season, S26 would prove to be a way harder season for them. As they would only win 3 games and lose 11 for a 3-13 record. Despite Lavigne's similair play and contribution to the team, something was still missing for this team to make their first playoff apperance.

S27

Coming off a disappointing 3-13 record in the previous season the Honolulu Hahalua and Davriel Lavigne were looking to make big waves in the league. Something strange had happened to the league and the way players played seemed to be different than the way they had played in previous seasons.

The season started with a 23-26 lose against the Philadelpha Liberty in Philadelphia in week 1. However the Hahalua were able to completely turn around the form they had shown. In their next 8 games they won 7, only losing their home game against the Outlaws in week 5 by a 14-30 scoreline.

With a 7-2 record they entered the final half of the season in which they went 4-2-1 for a season record of 11-4-1 record. This was good enough for a first placed finsh in the converence and their first playoff appearance. Their first game would be against the New Orleans Second Line who won their wild card game. Honolulu would struggle in their first game despite leading 9-3 going into the half time break. The game would end 15-25 in favour of the Second Line and with that the Hahalua's first playoff run was already over.

Lavigne's stats dropped off compare to his stats of the previous season, but that was a league wide trend so nothing for him to worry about. Davriel would record a career high 8 sacks in S27.

S28

After coming of the first first playoff appearance for the Hahalua they came into S28 looking to continue the run. The season started great for the Hahalua's with an early 3-0 record. However then came a bad run for the team in the next 8 games they were only able to win 1 game. Dropping their record to 4-7. Playoff dreams were bleak, but a great run was in the works. They won then next 5 games for a respectable recor of 9-7, but did not make the playoffs. Losing the tiebreaker against the Austin Copperheads.

Lavigne had a down year, posted career lows in multiple stat lines. With 48 tackles,8 deflected passes, no interceptions and a drop in sacks from 8 to 3. Lavigne would apologize to fans for his down season, promising he would come back stronger in the next season. He thanked them all for supporting the team and him through everything so far in the teams history.

S29

In his fourth year in the league already, Lavigne would not line up at his usual position of safety. Instead he had spent the summer practising the cornerback position and had moved there for the new season. This change of position seemed to have great impact on Lavigne and his play. He recorded 89 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 sack, 1 interception and 26 pass deflections to boot. He would finish 11th in the league in pass deflections in his first season at a new position.

For the Hahalua the seasn was one to forget. After playoffs two seasons ago and barely missing out on playoffs thanks to a tiebreaker in the season prior. S29 marked the team drop hard and record only 3 wins, while losing 13 of their games. Some transitions had happened within the team like starting QB Fujiwara leaving an rookie QB Joliet Christ Jr, coming into the team. The period was described as something that would struggle at the moment, but should come out of the gates quite strong once Christ Jr has settled in.

S30

S29 was a season the Hahalua would like to forget and leave behind them. Coming into S30 hopes were high to show up a little better than 3-13. Quarterback Joliet Christ Jr. had grown and started to gel well with the team. In a streaky showing from Honolulu they would end the season 6-10, going on multiple game losing streaks and then winning streaks. It was not quite the season they had in mind, but Christ Jr played well and was showing that he was absolutely the future for the team.

Meanwhile Lavigne would contribute with a career high 102 tackles, while also recording 1 forced fumble, 1 interception and 19 pass deflections. The latter being a bit of regression from his stats in the previous season. His stand out stat was the 1 interception, which he also converted into his first pick-6 since his rookie season. He recorded this pick-6 in the week 2 match up at the New York Silverbacks. A game with the Hahalua would end up losing with a scoreline of 59-28.

S31

Coming into the S31 season spirites in Honolulu were quite high. After 3 season of missing the playoffs, with two season of transitioning to a new QB. The team was looking to break their way back into the playoffs. However after six weeks, with a record of 2-4 those spirits might have come into question. In the next 4 games the team would go 2-2 to head into week 11 with a 4-6 record. The team needed to turn around their play of they had any hopes of making the playoffs. This is when the team went on a 4 game win streak to elevate them to a 8-6 record. Suddenly playoffs seems certain. A 1-1 split in the last two games meant a 9-7 record. Which in S28 was not good enough to get into the playoffs, but this season it was good enough to make it into the playoffs as a 3rd placed team. S31 would also mark a bit of a breakout season for Lavigne. He would record 71 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 5 interceptions and 32 pass deflections. Both of those last two stats were career highs. This preformances would see him get selected as an all-star and nominated, but ultimately missing out, for a cornerback of the year award.

With a 33-20 win over the Arizona Outlaws in the wildcard game, the Hahalua recorded their first playoff win. In the conference final they were too strong for the Austin Copperheads beating them 30-27. The finals against the Colorado Yeti they also ended up being to strong and would again win with a 30-27 scoreline. Celebrating their first ultimus win in their first ever ultimus final. Lavigne would contribute with 22 tackles, 1 interception and 3 deflected passes over the course of the playoffs. Recorde 7 of those passes and 2 deflections in the finals.

S32

After winning the first Ultimas in Honolulu Hahalua history the team was looking to continue this great form. Hopes were high in Honolulu as after 11 games they sat comfortably with a 9-2 record, all that was needed was one or two more wins to secure themselves of playoff contention. With 2 home games and 3 away games, it all looked very possible. However a very dissapointing run of form left the Hahalua with nothing to show, but a 0-5 record and a 4th place finish just outside of the playoffs. Lavigne would contribute 97 tackles, 3 interceptions and 26 pass deflections in a season that can best be described as the ultimate blue ball experience. After award nominations an all-star selections lavigne ended this season with nothing like that. 13th in the league for pass deflections was not enough in these games. After this season Lavigne dropped hints that his career was heading towards it's end. Saying that one more season was absolutely in the cards, but after that is would be very touch and go.

S33

S33 came and Lavigne eyed slightly slower than in his previous seasons. It had become clear that the player's age had started to take a toll on his playing abilities. However it was not very bad yet and over the course of the season he showed a bit of progress towards his old form. The Honolulu Hahalua after last seasons absolute collapse, had a rotten start to the season. Going 0-5, before finding a bit of themselves winning two games in a row, losing the next 3, before splitting the next games 1-1 and finishing the season on a 4 game winning spree. A season of 7-9 proved to not be enough to make the play offs in a weak ASFC side. Missing the playoffs for a second year in a row coming off an Ultimus win. Lavigne stat's somewhat reflected the decline in his abilities. Yet he still was able to record a career high 104 tackles, while getting 2 interceptions, 20 pass deflections and returning an interception for a pick-6. He recorded this in the 35-28 away loss against the Orange County Otters. After elluding to it the season prior, Lavigne offcially came out saying that S34 would be his last in the ISFL.

S34

Heading into his last ever season within the ISFL, Lavigne was looking to bring his A-game for one last time. After a disappointing previous season, Lavigne and his team mates rallied behind the idea of one more run while he was there. Lavigne and the Hahalua would start the season with a 4 game win streak with victories over New York, San Jose, Arizona and Colorado. A big feat as 3 of those games were away, the San Jose game being the only home game. Week 5 would end in defeat against the Copperheads, before the Hahalua in a streaky bit of games went 6-2 to be 10-3 heading into week 14. Two back to back losses, before a win in the final game of the season saw the Hahalua finish 11-5. Lavigne would post a career high in defensive touchdowns with 2. A new record within the Hahalua organization.

11-5 was good enough for the first seed in the ISFL and the Hahalua watched the Second line and Outlaws fight it out to see who would face them in the conference finals. It ended up being the Outlaws, which the Hahalua disposed of with a 41-28 scoreline. The final would see them face first time finalist Chicago Butchers. The game would be a nail biter going into double over time, sadly it was the Hahalua who would pull the short end of the stick and lose 27-33. Lavigne thanked his team mates and the fans for an amazing last season, heartbroken to not have won a cup while reaching the finals, but proud of everyone.
