Brave Ulysses (born January 10, 2008) is an American football offensive tackle for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for Oxford before being drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores in the 2029 DSFL Draft (S14), and was drafted by the New Orleans Second Line in the 2016 (S).

Early years

Brave Ulysses was brought up in a soccer loving town and was born to hippie, Cream loving parents. Being named after a Cream song, he decided to forego the family wished and play American Football. He found small pick-up leagues around the town in his youth and eventually travelled to his Aunt's house in Birmingham where there was an organized American Football league that he could play in while in high school. Ulysses put education first and got accepted to Oxford to study Kinematics.

College career

Brave Ulysses was not fortunate enough to play college football, but still played in under-21 leagues during his time in college. He finished his degree at Oxford all while putting on weight, hoping to eventually travel to America to play professional football. After dominating all of the amateur leagues in his local area, he decided to put together a scouting tape by himself and sent it to various teams in the United States. His game film mostly consisted of him lifting up Defensive Tackles and throwing them out of the play, clearing a path for his runningbacks. His pass blocking skills were just as impressive, as he did not allow a single recorded sack in his entire time playing for his amateur football team. Although he has never played football at a competitive level, Ulysses believes he can dominate at any level of football and is eager to show his skills to the world.

Professional career

DSFL career

Brave Ulysses was drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores in the DSFL S14 Draft, in the second round. As a rookie, Ulysses was second in the league in pancakes at 53, and had allowed only a single sack. The Luchadores, led by quarterback Corvo Havran, were mainly a pass first team, and lost in the Ultimini to the Portland Pythons. In his second season, Ulysses suffered a sophomore slump. Allowing 2 sacks on the year with only 43 pancakes were a dissapointment for the leagues premier lineman talent. Again, the team was being led by the leagues best quarterback, Havran, but managed to lose to the Palm Beach Solar Bears. In his third year, after Havran was brought up to the NSFL, the team decided to reimage the offense, leaning more on the run, and solidifying its defense. Although Ulysses only recorded 40 pancakes, he kept his quarterbacks pocket clean allowing 0 sacks. The offensive lineman paved the way for a league high 3052 team rushing yards. The ground attack led the Luchadores to their 5th ultimini win, beating the Portland Pythons 28-14. Ulysses declared that the S17 DSFL season was going to be his last, before moving up to the NSFL to play for the New Orleans Second Line. Looking to repeat their prior years success, the Luchadores kept the same team identity entering S17, leaning on the two-headed rushing attack. Ulysses recorded 65 pancakes, and zero sacks on the season, leading the way to the Luchadores second straight Ultimini win, ending his career bringing home a championship.

NSFL career

Ulysses, after his four year career in Tijuana, was called up by the general manager of the New Orleans Second Line to play left tackle for the team. His first season he struggled adjusting to the speed of the NSFL defensive lineman, as he recorded only 38 pancakes and allowed 3 sacks on the season. After a 5-8 season, the Second Line decided to buff up the offensive line some more by drafting Right Tackle Givussafare Rubbe and solidifying the potential for the leagues best offensive line. In the offseason after the 5-8 season, the coaches came together and decided that running the ball would be our team identity in the S19 season, giving Ulysses and Rubbe some motivation to start producing professional numbers. After an offseason of training in Hawaii, Ulysses and Rubbe arrived to team training camp ready to dominate the league together. In Season 19, Ulysses and Rubbe anchored each end of the offensive line, with Ulysses recording 54 pancakes, and Rubbe recording 49, while neither lineman allowed a sack on the season. Their first season together ended in the Conference Championship game where the Second Line fell to the Orange County Otters, 28-13. The offensive line of the New Orleans Second line allowed only 7 total sacks on the season, keeping quarterback Stan Francisco healthy for the majority of the season. With young runningbacks Tom Hanks and Marcella Toriki leading the rushing attack, look for the New Orleans Second Line to be the leagues premiere rushing team for years to follow.
