Bona'beri Jones (born January 5, 2004) is a retired American football wide receiver best known for playing in the National Simulation Football League (NSFL).

Early years

Bona'beri Jones is the son of Elijah and Martina Jones. His father is a professional hockey player, while his mother competed in track during college. Bona'beri started playing football at age 5. Early on, Bona'beri Jones played the quarterback position. While playing for Northern High School in Durham, Bona'beri Jones transitioned to from Quarterback to playing Wide Receiver. His quickness allowed him to get open and break many of Northern high School's records. In addition to football, Bona'beri Jones wrestled during high school. While his mother was a track star, and his family pushed him towards track to stay fit in the off-season, Bona'beri Jones found wreslting to be a more grueling off-season training program. Bona'beri Jones was a runner up in the state tournament, and had a high school wrestling record of 70-36. He received numerous college scholarship offers for wrestling in addition to the attention he received for his football prowess.

College career

Bona’beri Jones received collegiate interest from all the Power-Five conferences. Bona’beri Jones elected to go with the Duke Blue Devils, his favorite and hometown team in Durham. Choosing Duke allowed Bona’beri to remain close to family and play in a Power-Five conference in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Bona’beri Jones studied Chemistry and graduated with a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). Numerous times, Bona’beri Jones was the ACC’s “Offensive Player of the Week.” Jones’ speed allowed him to amass a great amount of yards each of his four seasons with the Blue Devils. The initial plan for Bona’beri Jones was to be a red-shirt freshman. Plans were changed when one of the junior Wide Receivers elected to go to the draft, opening a spot for Bona’beri. Jones ended his senior year as a captain of the team and received much praise from Duke’s coaching staff. While not setting records for Duke, he play with consistency that made him popular with the students and alumni.
