Yellowknife Wraiths

Alexandre LeClair was drafted with the 62nd pick in the inaugural NSFL draft by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Originally a quarterback, LeClair started under center for the Wraiths in the first two preseason games, before being ousted by Chris Orosz. By the time the regular season rolled around, LeClair had converted to wide receiver. His impact would be felt immediately on both offense and special teams as he was 9th in the league in receiving yards with 754 and 4th in kick return yards with 586. This production would earn him a Pro Bowl selection and help propel the Wraiths to an 8-6 record. However, they would ultimately lose in the NSFC championship game against the Colorado Yeti by a score of 6-13.

Las Vegas Legion

Prior to the start of the 2017 season, LeClair was traded to a new league expansion team, the Las Vegas Legion. In this new environment, he was unable to replicate the success he had found the previous year in Yellowknife and fell out of the top ten for all receiving statistics. The Legion would win only 3 games over the course of the season and miss the playoffs.

LeClair would bounce back in 2018, coming in 6th in the league in both receptions (71) and receiving yards (1168) as well as 8th in receiving touchdowns (8.) His play on the field led to his second Pro Bowl nod. However, this individual success did little to help the flailing Legion who won just two games the entire season.

2019 would be another down year for LeClair, who managed to be 9th in the league in receiving touchdowns with 6 but outside of the top ten in all other reviving statistics. The Legion would again disappoint, winning three games and missing their third straight opportunity to make the playoffs. Despite his relative struggles on offense, LeClair would perform admirably as a kick returner, coming in second in the league with 1,060 yards.

Baltimore Hawks

Before the start of the 2020 season, LeClair would be traded to the Baltimore Hawks. This would mark the beginning of the best stretch of football in his career. In his first year in Baltimore, LeClair would set his career-high in receiving yards with 1,577 to go along with 11 touchdowns and a Pro Bowl berth. He was also third in the league in kickoff return yards with 1,134. The Hawks would go 8-6 but fall short of the Ultimus after losing 21-37 to Yellowknife in the NSFC championship.

Baltimore would go 7-7 and fall short of the playoffs both of the following seasons. LeClair would continue to produce at a high level, producing top ten receiving statistics and making the Pro Bowl both years. The 2022 season would be particularly notable for him as he led the league and set his career-high in kick off return yards with 1,297.

In 2023, the Hawks again went 7-7 but this time made the playoffs, losing to Yellowknife in the NSFC championship game again by a score of 24-38. LeClair would lead the league in receiving touchdowns with a career-high 13. For this he would earn his sixth and final Pro Bowl selection.

LeClair would have his first Ultimus Bowl appearance in 2024 after the Hawks went 11-3 in the regular season. After beating the Colorado Yeti in the NSFC championship, they would fall to the New Orleans second line in the Ultimus by a score of 24-37. This would be LeClair’s last season in Baltimore as he would sign with the Second Line as a free agent in the offseason.

New Orleans Second Line

For the last two seasons of his career, LeClair would play a key role in some explosive offenses. New Orleans would go 11-3 with the league’s best passing attack twice in a row during this stretch. Despite losing a step in 2025, LeClair would still tie for third in the league in receiving touchdowns with 11 and the Second Line would make it to the Ultimus Bowl after beating the Orange County Otters 10-3 in the ASFC championship. However, they would fall short of the ultimate prize by losing to LeClair’s former team, the Baltimore Hawks, by a score of 23-29.

LeClair and the Second Line got their revenge the following year, defeating the Hawks 42-36 in an Ultimus Bowl rematch after dominating the Otters in the ASFC championship. LeClair would have a staggering 17.2 yards per catch in this final game of his career. He was enshrined in the NSFL Hall of Fame in 2030.
