Alex Eduard Selich (born January 19, 2004) is an American football linebacker for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for Florida Atlantic University (FAU) before being drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes in the 2025 DSFL Draft (S10).

Early years

Alex Selich was born in Fulda, Germany on February 19th, 2005. His family had a background in athletics with his uncle Eduard being a professional hockey player in the SHL. Alex was first introduced to football through his older brother who himself was a first round choice in the inaugural NSFL Draft. Alex joined his local football team that was coached by a former college player from FAU that was once stationed in Fulda while being in the Army. Thanks to Alex's great physical skills, he emerged as a defensive force in the German Football League.

College career

Alex's first coach contacted his Alma Mater, Florida Atlantic University, and sent a highlight tape of Alex to their linebacker coach. This highlight tape was enough to earn Alex a workout at FAU in which he showcased his skills and was ultimately offered a scholarship. Alex redshirted in his freshman season to get used to the higher level of play compared to Germany. In his sophomore season Alex was the leader of the FAU defense, leading with his remarkable play on the field. He recorded 108 Tackles, 9 for losses, 5 sacks and 3 Interceptions. Which earned him a nomination for the prestigious Butkus Award but he ultimately wasn't able to win it.
