Spruce Willis (born March 15, 1955) is an American football safety for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years
In his early years Spruce Willis did not really play the game of football, he more so tried to make it in the world as a private detective. Taking and investigating cases with my partner Madolyn "Maddie" Hayes at the Blue Moon Detective agency. There was plenty of sexual tension between the two of us, but that is what happens when you live a life filled with mystery and close proximity to a former model. Who is down on their luck saddled with multiple failing businesses maintained as tax write offs, I had to pursuade Maddie to keep the detective agency and run it as a partnership. You would often find Maddie and myself at high end parties and other parts of the city that would require in black and white Tie atire. Alongside Maddie, our quirky and loyal recpetionist Agnes DiPesto really helped run the show, paired alongside our employee Herbert Viola, which we got from a temp agency. After this fizzled out Spruce Willis set his sights on being part of the police force.
College career
Spruce Willis does not really go to college other than the police academy. Life on the force had been tough. Life as a cop forces you to commit to it and drop all other things if you're looking to make it beyond to the next day. It forces you to keep your head on a swivel. I was looking to join up with my estranged wife and two daughters on Christmas eve in Nakatomi Plaza for a Christmas eve party that my wife's Japanese employer was throwing. But instead of having a relaxing night with the wife and kids, filling the minutes with booze filled drinks and cheery small talk with people I have never met nor care to fraternize with. The festivities were interrupted by a group of pissed off Europeans led by a guy named Hans Gruber who took over the exclusive high-rise, and everyone in it. With police on the outside looking in not able to make a move I realize that it is me, Spruce Willis that must save all of the hostages and also needed a change of life.

DSFL career
-S42-Spruce Willis was drafted to the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. He was drafted in the third round with the twenty-first overall pick in the season 42 DSFL draft. Spruce Willis was the third of four safeties taken off of the board. Spruce Willis had a decent start to his career. Across fourteen games Spruce Willis logged 54 tackles, zero tackles for loss, four misses, 0 forced fumbled, 0 fumble recoveries, one sack, one interception which was also a pick six, five pass deflections, and one blocked punt. The most tackles Spruce had in a game was nine during week 13 against the Tijuana Luchadores but what is arguably Spruce's best game occurred in week 3 against the Portland Pythons, where Spruce logged the first pick six of his career, one pass deflection and five tackles in a 17-13 win. Despite this bright spot for Spruce Willis. The season was filled with it's fair share of trouble. The Bondi Beach Buccaneers would go on to finish the season with a league tying worst 4-10-0 record missing the playoffs with a rough stretch of 1-9 in the first ten games. However as the season progressed the buccaneer locker room became more and more competitive.
