Solace Avenger (born April 6, 2024) is an American football defensive tackle for the New Orleans Second Line of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

"Solace was born as the eldest of three children to two lovely parents. From the earliest moment in his youth, he realized that he was going to be a large and imposing person as he was born ten pounds and three ounces with the most rambunctious of personalities to match!

Throughout Solace's youth, he wanted to play sports as much as possible in order to not only interact with many people but to become stronger and more agile. Through all the sports Solace played, American Football stuck the biggest chord with him the most. As he grew throughout high school, people noticed and told him that he had the size and ability to play the defensive line. Solace was enjoyed and inspired by those words of people as he was more interested in playing on the defensive side of the ball as compared to the offensive side of the ball as he believed the defensive side of the ball was more challenging but also more rewarding to master. As a result, Solace spent the rest of this high school years developing his technique and ability to be the best DT he can be! "

College career

Going into freshman year at UF, Solace's training with Ranger, the legendary teammate of Solace's father, more than paid off. Almost immediately, he was given the starting position at the defensive tackle position and helped to immediately reestablish the Gator Defense as a feared and legendary unit. Throughout Solace's freshman year, he was deadset on striking fear into every opponent he played. Against Kentucky, he had 5 tackles and 2 sacks; against Tennessee, he especially ate and had 10 tackles and 3 sacks! The run of dominant defensive success continued as UF managed to dominate the rest of the east and get revenge on Georgia especially as they finished with an 11-1 regular season record, allowing UF to matchup against Alabama in the SEC championship. The game was essentially the true national championship as both teams were going blow for blow in a low scoring defensive game. Despite a vailent effort from Solace with 7 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 FF, and a FR, UF was not able to tie the game on a FG and lost the chance to make the playoffs. However, this would spark a dominant college career for Solace as he received the first of four first team All-SECs and first team All-American as well. This run would continue all the way till his senior where they were able to finally get revenge on Bama, make the playoffs, and finally win UF's fourth championship, culminating in a SEC MVP, SEC championship MVP, and Championship MVP, marking off a legendary college career!

S33 DSFL: As this was Avenger's rookie season, he was eager to hit the ground running. As a rookie on the Dallas Birddogs, he immediately slotted into the starting Defensive Tackle position and never looked back. Avenger immediately made an impact on the Birddogs defense as he raised them from bad to just above average with his impact alone. As a result of his great rookie season, he was awarded with not only a rare rookie Pro Bowl nod, but also a rare first team All Pro for his diligence and effort to help improve the team's success. At the end of the season, Avenger had a great mark on the team as not only he was one of the team's best players but also a leader in the locker room after tallying 55 tackles, 5 TFLs, 8 sacks, and 1 safety. What a great start to his legendary career that is in the making.

S34 DSFL: Building upon his rookie season, Avenger aimed to improve his stats across the board and increase his impact across the board. Despite this aim, Avenger on paper did not improve his stats; however, that could be explained for two reasons: since he was established as one of the most disruptive DTs in the league, he was double-teamed like Aaron Donald and he had an equally as talented teammate in Desoto that was also racking up stats! Regardless, Avenger was awarded another Pro Bowl and All Pro Nod as he finished with 41 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1 FF, 1 FR, and 2 sacks. Another dominant season that was followed up by an expected championship run by the Dallas Birddogs as despite finishing 6-8, the team had a dominant playoff run and won their 2 games by a combined 40+ points by seemingly clicking on both sides of the ball, thus completing a legendary run for Avenger for his first ring and the Birddogs second championship all time!

S35 ISFL: Coming off of a legendary playoff and unexpected championship win with the Birddogs, Avenger finally transferred over to the New Orleans second line where he was expecting to be able to contribute meaningful minutes to his favorite team growing up due to his mentor Azarius Ranger. Despite joining the Second Line who had a stacked defense, Avenger was able to provide meaningful minutes at the Defensive Tackle position alongside his fellow defenders in Glim, Garciappa, and many others. However, Avenger had a bit of an up and season as he had a few games where he didn't contribute at all and a couple of monster games where he was able to make a few highlight plays and save the game. In lieu of this, Avenger felt a little embarrassed that he wasn't able to be as dominant as he was in the DSFL but vowed to improve greatly for next season and return to his dominant ways!
