Rolund Onyxgut (born October 5, 2033) is an American football defensive end for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Rolund was born in Iron Forge on a fall day after his mothers shift in the family shop. He has an older brother and younger sister who like both their parents are blacksmiths. Roulnd never really left the city going to school and working in the shop. He attributes most his strength to working with a hammer. He didn't play football until his sophomore year at Iron Forge Mountain State after he was nearly expelled for fighting he was giving a second chance if he played for the Mountaineers. He is the first in his family to not go into the family business which originally was huge news as his is a historic blacksmithing family but after his skill on the field were discovered no one made a big deal about it. Rolunds original plan for his post colligate career was to be an arena fighter because he was also an accomplished fighter.

College career

As a sophomore Rolund was a great raw talent who play was mostly based on sheer strength and aggressiveness. In his junior year his coaches started to really mold him into a football player. That year he lead the team in sacks and tackles for loss. In his senior year he really took the next step becoming a force in the league. Leading the conference in sacks, tackles for loss, and tackles by a D-lineman. He was the anchor of the defense that lead the Mountaineers to two conference titles and conference player of the year and conference defensive player of the year. Also his junior year he was voted worst smelling player in the league by the other players an award that had only been won by undead for the past 17 years. In all four years Rolund also made the dean list as a great student but also had to face the dean for breaking the rules so many times, his sophomore year alone he got into 8 fights.

Season 40

Rolund was taken 17th overall and 1st pick of the 3rd round to the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. He was instantly plugged into the starting lineup. The first two games of the season were two close losses which had Rolund recording 1 tackle in each game. The Buccaneers would then go on a five game winning streak with the defense only allowing more then 24 points once. Rolund had his best game of the season in week 5 facing the S39 Champion Kansas City Coyotes recoding 7 tackles 2 for loss and a sack. The Buccaneers would finish the season 9-5 and were the second seed in the DSFL South. In the conference championship game The buccaneers would defeat the Norfolk Seawolves 27-16, Rolund picked up 4 tackles 1 for loss and 1 sack. In the Ultimini it was the Portland Pythons facing Rolunds Buccaneers. After being down 21-3 the Buccaneers would come out scoring 21 un answered points as the Buccaneers defense held strong behind Rolund's Ultimini Defensive Player of the Game(6 tackles 2 TFL 1 Sack). In the S41 ISFL Rolund was taken 18th overall by the Cape Town Crash but Rolund wanted to play one more year in Bondi Beach so will head to the Crash after S41.

Season 41

Rolunds second season in Bondi Beach was very different then his first, The Buccaneers started the season with 5 straight losses. Rolund did record 20 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks in those games. BBB would the completely switch gears and run off 4 straight wins, even beating the previously undefeated Luchadores. Unfortunately the next 5 games would have mixed results with the Bucs going just 2-3 to finish the season 6-8 but luck for the Bucs that was good enough to make the playoffs. In the playoffs the Buccaneers would face off with the rival Luchadores after splitting the season series. The game would start off well for the Bucs taking a 9-0 lead but the settling for field goals would end up very costly as they would lose the game 24-9. A game in which Onyxgut was held in check by the TIJ offensive line recording no tackles or sacks in the game. In the end it was a bitter sweet send off for Rolunds DSFL career. Rolund ended up with a good season after everything was said and done even earning a spot on the DSFL All-Pro Team.

Season 42

In season three Rolund was very excited to join the reigning Champion Cape Town Crash in his first season in the ISFL. The season though was very up and down but a successful campaign. The season started with two wins, with Onyxgut recording 6 and 5 tackles in the games. The next three games were losses with the Crash defense giving up 34+ in each game, Rolund did have 20 tackles over the three games including his only tackle for loss of the season. The Crash would heat up a bit after this winning five of their next six games, Rolund over this period averaged five tackles a game and recorded his first two sacks of his career. His first for taking down Preston Beatz and second on Adrian St. Christmas. The hot streak would end at the hands of Sarasota and Chicago, leaving the Crash at seven and six heading into the last three games. In the two games Rolund had wildly different results recording just one tackle in the Sarasota game then nine in the Chicago game. The next two games had the Crash winning 27-13 in both games beating New York and Colorado, Rolund had twelve tackles and one sack in the games. These wins set up a week 16 win and host a playoff game verse Berlin. In the showdown Berlin would control the first half leading 17-7 after 2 but the second half would be all Crash winning the game 38-24. Rolund recorded 6 tackles in the game bringing his season total to a team leading 89. With a Sarasota loss the first playoff game in Rolunds career would be a week 16 rematch verse Berlin. The playoff game would be a defensive battle between the two stout defensives, with the Firesalamanders winning the game 16-13.

Season 43

Season four started with a lot of hope in the Cape town locker room and in Rolunds locker. The season started out on a bump with a loss to the Baltimore Hawks, Rolund had a decent game a few tackles and a forced fumble but it was a hard game to make any noise with Badman recording 11 tackles 4 sacks and a pick. The next three games Cape Town found their stride a bit rattling off three win verse Colorado, Chicago, and Berlin, with Rolund getting 14 tackles and the Crash defense playing great. Then a crazy week five which saw the Crash go down 30-14 the come all the back to lead 35-30 and have the Wraiths score a long touchdown with less then two minutes to go and win 38-35. Onyxgut did record 9 tackles on the day. Then the Crash really got things winning nine of their last 11 games with the defense allowing 24 points or more in just 3 games one of which was another loss to the Hawks. Overall in the regular season Onyxgut didn't have the break out year he was hoping for but still had a good season, even playing well enough to earn a probowl nod. The Crash finished the season 12-4 which in a very tight year earned them the number two seed and a home game verse the Yeti which Cape Town had beat twice on the season. In a switch of thing for the season the Crash offense put on a show score fifty-five points which put the Crash into the NSFC Championship game verse Baltimore. The Championship game was a defensive battle with neither team score 20 points, but in the end with a field goal with sixteen seconds left the Crash were defeated. In the offseason with the season being a success and moving from ILB to OLB Onyxgut signed a contract extension which should keep him in Cape Town for his whole career.

Season 44

Year 5 in the league was the year that Onyxgut got to take a huge step forward after building on the season before he was able to contribute more then just tackles. The Crash started out very hot winning the first 6 games of the season. Rolund recorded 6 sacks, 1 interception, and a safety all of which we already more then his first 2 years in the ISFL combined. The crash would go 2-2 in their next four but still seen themselves atop the NSFC. Half way through the season Rolund was tied for the league lead in sacks. The Crash would win 5 of the next 6 games finishing the season with a 13-3 record, the best record in the ISFL. Rolund finished the season with career highs in tackles, tackles for loss, and sack His first season as an outside linebacker a huge success. In the first game of the playoff the Crash faced Berlin, the game was close for the first half but the Crash defense kept the Firesalamanders off the board in the second half winning 37-28. Game two saw Baltimore coming to town which would turn out to be a battle between the two rivals with a walk off touchdown for the Crash being the difference with the Crash winning 31-30 sending them to the Ultimus. The big game would be versus the Honolulu Hahalua a team who dominated the ASFC this season. It was a back and forth battle with the Crash coming up just short as the Honolulu defense getting the better of things in the end. Although the season ended in a disappointing way the future is still bright in Cape Town and for Onyxgut as he takes over as the senior member of the linebackers and a potential defensive players of the year.

Season 45

Season 6 was a tough one for Roulnd although stat wise he had a very good season the Crash had their worst record since he came into the league missing the play offs for the first time going 7-9. No for Rolund the stats were good with 124 tackles which was 5th most in the league and 16 sacks which was also 5th most in the league. The Crash did have a few big wins through out the season starting with a big win versus the Hawks but very inconsistent all season either trading wins and losses or have a streak of losses followed by win. The team was in it till the last few weeks when they only managed to go 1-3 to finish the season. With the in consistent season over Onyxgut hopes to continue building on what is becoming a very solid career and to have a break out season into the best defensive player conversation.

Season 46

Season 46 was another season below .500 for the Crash. The season wasn't bad with a 7-9 record which wasn't so bad for having a rookie QB. Rolunds season was another good season stats wise as a leading linebacker in the important stats. Third straight season with over 100 tackles the stat was a little less then last season though with the arrival of another veteran. The addition of another Probowl linebacker really hurt Rolunds production but he still managed 15 sacks and 9 TFLs. The seasons main bright spot for the dwarf was getting turn overs. Onyxgut caused 8 forced fumbles which was a career high and a top 10 season all time in the league. With the defense only getting stronger and their rookie QB getting even better the Crash have high hopes for Season 47 and Onyxgut will continue towards his goal of becoming one of the best defensive players in the league.
