Mario VonPebbles (born December 25, 1998) is an American football defensive end for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Mario VonPebbles was raised by a pack of javelina in the desert outside of Tucson in 3 Points Arizona! His mom and dad ditched him at the gun range when he was an infant. The Javelina found him cold and hungry lying naked in the sand. They clothed him and fed him and taught him how to forage for prickly pear cactus fruit like one of them. The javelina kept him safe until he was 18 and was able to move out on a full ride scholarship at Arizona. Mario went to Ironwood Ridge high school. Mario was able toi successfully file for academic waivers due to the extenuating circumstances of his upbringing. His GPA was abysmal in high school throughout all four years, but Mario was able to participate in athletics. Mario lettered in golf, football, hockey, spelunking, and crocheting all four years. By his sophomore year, Mario was on national recruiting radars for football. As a junior, Mario was offered a full-ride scholarship to the Clemson University!

College career

At Clemson University, Mario was again a terrible student. His GPA was 0.4, but with his waivers he was able to compete in football. Mario started all four years for the Tigers at DE. Mario was team captain as a freshman and was named the captain all four years. Mario was ACC DPOY his junior and senior seasons and was First Team All-Conference all four years. Mario currently holds the ACC record for tackles and sacks in a game, season, and also the career total records for both categories. The Tigers were wildly unsuccessful in Mario’s time on campus. During his four years the football team only won one game. The one game they won was against South Carolina in Mario’s senior season. In that game Mario had twenty tackles with five sacks and in interception return for a touchdown. This amazing performance was inspired by Tigers’ donors and the student section working together to sneak Mario’s javelina family into the stadium to watch him play for the first time.

Professional career

Mario was drafted by the Minnesota Grey Ducks at number 56 in the 2036 DSL draft. Mario's first season was a struggle personally as well as for the team. Mario played in every game in S21 but saw limited action and only 28 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and only 4 sacks. The team did poorly as well, they missed that playoffs in S21. After S21 Mario was named team captain by Grey Ducks leadership. Heading into S22, Mario and the Grey Ducks had a renewed sense urgency and focus. S22 indeed was much more successful for Mario personally as well as for the Grey Ducks. As a team captain, Mario led the Grey Ducks to a home playoff game. Unfortunately, Mario fell short in his bid to bring home the Ultimini trophy to the Grey Ducks. For Mario personally, S22 was a success as he was elected to the DSFL Pro Bowl! Mario saw a significant increase in all of his defensive statistics, including leading the league in safeties. Before S22 Mario was drafted in the 7th round by the Philadelphia Liberty. Then, after S22 Mario was traded by the Liberty to the Chicago Butchers for a 3rd round pick. The trade to Chicago came after Mario had problems in the Liberty locker room. The problems stemmed from a lack of communication from team leadership as well as personality driven conflict between teammates. Heading into S23, Mario has stated goals of becoming a top five defensive end in the NSFL, making a Pro Bowl, and helping the Butchers win. With the drama of Philly behind him and finally in place he feels comfortable in Chicago, Mario is excited to get back to what he does best.
