Mario VonPebbles (born December 25, 1998) is an American football defensive end for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Mario VonPebbles was raised by a pack of javelina in the desert outside of Tucson in 3 Points Arizona! His mom and dad ditched him at the gun range when he was an infant. The Javelina found him cold and hungry lying naked in the sand. They clothed him and fed him and taught him how to forage for prickly pear cactus fruit like one of them. The javelina kept him safe until he was 18 and was able to move out on a full ride scholarship at Arizona. Mario went to Ironwood Ridge high school. Mario was able toi successfully file for academic waivers due to the extenuating circumstances of his upbringing. His GPA was abysmal in high school throughout all four years, but Mario was able to participate in athletics. Mario lettered in golf, football, hockey, spelunking, and crocheting all four years. By his sophomore year, Mario was on national recruiting radars for football. As a junior, Mario was offered a full-ride scholarship to the Clemson University!

College career

At Clemson University, Mario was again a terrible student. His GPA was 0.4, but with his waivers he was able to compete in football. Mario started all four years for the Tigers at DE. Mario was team captain as a freshman and was named the captain all four years. Mario was ACC DPOY his junior and senior seasons and was First Team All-Conference all four years. Mario currently holds the ACC record for tackles and sacks in a game, season, and also the career total records for both categories. The Tigers were wildly unsuccessful in Mario’s time on campus. During his four years the football team only won one game. The one game they won was against South Carolina in Mario’s senior season. In that game Mario had twenty tackles with five sacks and in interception return for a touchdown. This amazing performance was inspired by Tigers’ donors and the student section working together to sneak Mario’s javelina family into the stadium to watch him play for the first time.

Professional career

S21

Mario was drafted by the Minnesota Grey Ducks at number 56 in the 2036 DSL draft. Mario's first season was a struggle personally as well as for the team. Mario played in every game in S21 but saw limited action and only 28 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and only 4 sacks. The team did poorly as well, they missed that playoffs in S21. After S21 Mario was named team captain by Grey Ducks leadership. Heading into S22, Mario and the Grey Ducks had a renewed sense urgency and focus.

S22

S22 indeed was much more successful for Mario personally as well as for the Grey Ducks. As a team captain, Mario led the Grey Ducks to a home playoff game. Unfortunately, Mario fell short in his bid to bring home the Ultimini trophy to the Grey Ducks. For Mario personally, S22 was a success as he was elected to the DSFL Pro Bowl! Mario saw a significant increase in all of his defensive statistics, including leading the league in safeties. Before S22 Mario was drafted in the 7th round by the Philadelphia Liberty. Then, after S22 Mario was traded by the Liberty to the Chicago Butchers for a 3rd round pick. The trade to Chicago came after Mario had problems in the Liberty locker room. The problems stemmed from a lack of communication from team leadership as well as personality driven conflict between teammates. Heading into S23, Mario has stated goals of becoming a top five defensive end in the NSFL, making a Pro Bowl, and helping the Butchers win. With the drama of Philly behind him and finally in place he feels comfortable in Chicago, Mario is excited to get back to what he does best.

S23

S23 started and ended with Mario fitting in well with all the players and management in Chicago. Everything off the field was a perfect fit and Mario began forming lasting bonds with everyone in the locker room. On the field, things were a little rougher for Mario and for the Butchers as a whole. Chicago only had three wins all season and came in last in the division and had the worst record in the entire lead. The silver lining with having the worst record is the Butchers get the first overall pick in the draft. For Mario personally, the on field production was a little disappointing. Mario recorded only 46 tackles and only five sacks. The one statistical high point for Mario was seventeen tackles-for-loss. Interestingly enough, Tyker Om in Philadelphia was nominated for defensive rookie of the year this player had fewer tackles, tackles-for-loss, and sacks. Regardless of award nomination snubs and lack of on-field production, both personal and for the team, Mario is determined to improve heading into S24. Mario will head into S24 with more than 600 TPE with maximum endurance as well as with more than one-hundred million in the bank. There is a lot of hope for The Butchers in S24 and also a lot of hope for MVP personally going into S24! The team is very hungry and determined to make an impact. For MVP personally, this will be an important season in his progression. MVP will break into the top ten in the league at his position and there is much anticipation to see all the hard work translated into on-field performance!

S24

Although things started out slowly, S24 was a great season for MVP and for the Chicago Butchers as well. For Mario personally, it appeared early on in the season, tht all Mario's hard work had gone for nothing. On the field, MVP was basically ineffective through the first several games of the season. In fact, by week 8 MVP only had 16 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and only 2 sacks. By the end of the season MVP still only had 4 sacks, which is a dissapointing total and a step back in production. However, by the end of the season MVP totalled 43 tackles with 27 in the second half of the season. With a smiliar performance in the first half of the season, MVP wouldve had a more respectable tackle total. The highlight of the season for MVP personally was his tackle for loss stats. To end the season, MVP had 19 TFL with 13 in the second half. 19 is good enough for second in the league for S24 and first among actives. With an entire season performance simliar to the second half of S24, Mario would've had 26 TFL and the league lead by a large margin! In the end, the grind paid off for Mario personally with a great TFL total!

As for the Butchers' on field performance in S24, things could not have gone any better! The Butchers returned to the playoffs in S24 after an extended absence! In the second half of the season, the Butchers got hot and won a bunch of games propelling them into the playoffs. In fact, down the strecth, the Butchers won 5 of their final 7 games! It seems MVP and the Butchers both got hot in the second half of the season!

At the end of S24 MVP was left unprotected in the expansion draft. He was selcted 6th overall by the Berlin Fire Salamanders. This was bitterwseet for Mario, as he now embraces the challenges of building another team from the ground up, but will miss his Butcher teamates going forward. Additionally, it will be a little tough to see the Butchers do as well as they will in S25 as Mario had struggled through a couple tough seasons with the team.

S24 ended with a Pro Bowl selection and a position award nomination.
