Leonardo Da Pinchi (born January 13, 2060) is an American football safety for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Leonardo Da Pinchi spawned just off the western Coast of Italy in the Tyrrhenian Sea on a brisk January morning. He did not know his parents, but he knew his family. And family meant everything to this crab. Spending his early months growing along side his many crab brothers and sisters, Leonardo would share many joyful moments with them. That is, until the Great Sea Poisoning of October 2060. The invasion of what Leonardo would later learn was "polution," started to kill off many of the feeding grounds his family used; algae and seaweed became toxic, worms and other small prey like clams and shrimp were dying and becoming poisonous to eat, or just leaving all together. Leonardo watched in horror as many of his beloved family started to starve. What little food they had, he gave to others. Wandering near the coast one night, he stumbled upon a mysterious lumpy substance. On the brink of starvation, without concern for his future, Leonardo took a bite out of the Gabagool in front of him. And then another. And another. Eating every last bite of the delacacy in front of him, each bite changing him, as hair grew from his head and chest. Upon finishing his meal, Leonardo knew what he had to do. He set his sights towards the mainland and made his way ashore.

College career

Originally enrolled at the University of Florence to study the Culinary Arts, Leonardo Da Pinchi was scouted by the football team after an impressive show of dexterity and agility in the quad. A frisbee was headed towards a group of students and out of nowhere, a crab sprinted and jumped 10 feet in the air to snatch it. Word spread like wildfire, and many of the sports teams reached out to Leonardo to sign up. the football team, preaching brotherhood and family, protecting a goal, and each other, spoke to him at his core. Although it took some finessing to get a 5 inch tall crab to be leagally allowed to play in the league, eventually Leonardo made history as the first crustacean in European College sports. Leonardo continued to put his name in the record books, becoming a First Team All Conference Safety and leading the league in pass breakups in his first season. After being scouted by the ISFL, and with a short average lifespan for crabs, Leonardo decided to exit school immediately and declare for the DSFL draft.

"Leonardo Da Pinchi was drafted to a star studded DSFL roster in Season 47 for the Minnesota Grey Ducks. With very little Roster space available, Da Pinchi found himself playing mostly out of position, heavily playing Nickelback and Middle Linebacker in some formations. Da Pinchi did not feel comfortable until the season progressed, as he eventually found himself making splash plays later in the season, as he caught up with the speed and ferocity of the rest of the DSFL competition.

Da Pinchi found himself in hot water with the team part way through the season, as the team came in from practice during week 6 only to find Leonardo chowing down on a bowl of duck soup. The crab was not used to having access to such wonderful food at all times, but to eat such a thing in the team cafeteria was quite the mistake. Webbie Swaggert threw Da Pinchi out of the facility and it took three days for the team to forgive him. Da Pinchi has sworn off eating duck from that moment on. "
