Lane Frost III (born May 11, 2035) is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Birddogs of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Frost was born in Miami, Florida, to his dad, Lane Frost II, and his wife. Frost was enrolled into Miami Central High School where he played Varsity football all four years. Frost amassed over 6,000 receiving yards and was named a Miami All-Star his freshman, sophomore, and senior year. As a 5 star prospect, Frost first decided to commit to Alabama before flipping his commitment to LSU, where his father went to school. Frost was offered by more than 50 D1 programs before the end of his freshman year and more than 100 by his senior year. Frost as also added that he did not want to be redshirted his first year of college which is what made him flip his commitment in the first place. His jersey is now hung outside the football field before every game and his was part of the 2054 Miami Central Hall of Fame class.

College career

Freshman

As a freshman in 2055, Frost caught 78 passes for 1,001 yards and 10 touchdowns. During his freshman season, Frost set a school and SEC record for most receptions in a single game with 20 against Alabama. During the game, he also had 301 yards receiving, which was second-best in both school and SEC history. At the end of his freshman season, Frost was selected as a True Freshman All-American by ESPN, Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-American, and Freshman All-SEC by Pro Football Focus.

Sophomore

As a sophomore in 2056, Frost caught 81 passes for 1,341 yards and 8 touchdowns. During his sophomore season, Frost again broke the single-game mark of 20 receptions, matching his record he set in his freshman season. He also had a game high of 256 yards and returned a punt for a touchdown. At the end of his sophomore season, Frost was selected as preseason Associated Press All-SEC First-team and All-SEC First-team. In addition, Frost was a Third-team All-American.

Junior

As a junior in 2057, Frost caught 92 passes for 1,430 yards and 21 touchdowns. During his junior season, Frost set the SEC record for touchdown catches in a season with 21 and had a game where he caught five touchdown passes, tying the SEC record held by Carlos Carson in 1977. He also became the first player since 2021 to have four or more touchdowns in a game. At the end of his junior season, Frost was voted First-team All-SEC by SEC Coaches, First-team All-American, the winner of the Fred Biletnikoff Award, and a finalist for the Maxwell Award. Frost was also 5th in Heisman Trophy voting. Frost became the first LSU player to have three-straight 1,000-yard seasons. On December 10, Frost announced he would forgo his senior year of eligibility and enter the 2058 DSFL Draft.

Frost was drafted by the Dallas Birddogs with the 80th overall pick in the 2058 DSFL Draft. He became the second player in his family to be drafted by the Birddogs (Aiden Frost). Frost signed his four-year rookie contract, worth $6.0 million, on July 6, 2058.

After some early success in the preseason, Frost played his first career regular season game on September 29, 2058, against the Tijuana Luchadores, finishing with 65 yards and two touchdowns as the Birddogs won, 28–23.
