Jay Cue III (born February 28, 2036) is an American football Quarterback of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL), currently playing for the Portland Pythons.

Early years

Jay Cue Jr. was born in Porto, Portugal. Son of former ISFL QB Legend Jay Cue, Cue III pretty much followed his father footsteps. This means he spent most of his childhood in Phoenix, AZ, watching his father play for the Arizona Outlaws. This brought up his interest in the game and especially in the QB position, where Cue Sr. showed him the ropes, like throwing a great spiral, finding the open receiver and fumbling the ball like no other. Classic stuff really by the Cue family. But after a while, Cue III embarked in a new journey. Right from an early age everyone recognized him as a very smart individual, top of his class. So not only he was good at sports, but also at studies. This being confirmed, he was enrolled in the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, in Alexandria, VA, about 2300 miles away from home. This is where he got his first taste of competitive football, with the TJHSST Colonials. He lead the team to very good seasons, earning him a reputation for being a cold blooded QB, imune to pressure. As one of the top QB recruits, he got offered a few scholarships by Division 1 Teams all over the country. With every beat reporter wondering if he would go to Georgia, Alabama or to his father Alma Mater, Oregon, Cue III surprised the world when he announced he would be going travelling to Boston and to Harvard College, firstly to become a Doctor of Juridical Science at their Law School, and then to play for the Harvard Crimson.

College career

With his main focus on studies, like most of his fellow athlete teammates, the Harvard Crimson managed to still have pretty decent seasons under Cue III. A 8-2 record with Cue as a true freshman (5-2 in the conference), followed by a 9-1 on the next season (7-0 in the conference), where they got to be ranked as highly as 15th in the AP Polls at a certain point. Cue III managed to concile his academic and athletic proficiency, excelling at both aspects. The fact that he remains top of his class, while being a locker room leader for the Harvard Crimson, makes him a highly sought after prospect, as everyone in the athletics department know that he is extremely quick at reading the game, adjusting his play and helping at the improvement of the team playbooks. At the same time he is extremely competitive and demanding, always striving for his and his teammates best. This earned him the nickname of Jay "The Judge" Cue III. Nobody doubts that he will become one eventually, while being a successful football player.

After his second season, he decided to leave college early, declaring for the DSFL draft, while still going to classes for the completion of his Law Degree.

Professional career

2057 DSFL Season (S41)

After deciding to just try his luck by joining the league in Season 41, Jay Cue III got picked in the waiver wire by the Portland Pythons. While on the team, he did not play a single snap in Season 41.

2057 DSFL Season (S42)

Coming into the Season 42 DSFL draft, it was no surprise to anyone that Portland, after having him on the roster for the second part of Season 41 to learn the ropes, wanted Cue III on their team for the future. And with many predicting it in mock drafts, Cue III was indeed drafted to the Pythons with their 2nd rounder, making him the 11th Overall player in the draft. Season 42 then marked the beginning of the Jay Cue III era in Portland. And it definitely was not a great start for his career as the starting Quarterback for the Pythons. The team ended with an abysmal 4 - 10 record, making them 3rd in the North Conference, with the same record as the last placed London Royals, so no playoff berth was achieved. While the team was not considered to be one of the best in the DSFL, the fact that Cue presented only mediocre numbers helped in this outcome for sure. He managed to throw for quite a few yards, with 3403, but his TD - INT ratio was very poor, with 19 - 16, for a 78.8 QB rating, worst in the league for starting QBs. Hopefully he can perform better in S43, helping his team in their quest to return to the DSFL Playoffs.
